"Stayed here for a third year in a row. Always chose hotel as its very near SPICE Convention Centre. Breakfast standards have dropped. There's a weird smell in the lobby and toilet. Overall stay good, but not a 5 star standard. Hope that you can improve as there are many new hotels building in the area."
"Pro:Amenities in room are good.Water pressure in bathroom was high and it’s good.My son enjoy bath in the bathtub very much.
Thanks for hotel arrange for a birthday cake as i had highlighted that the purpose stay in hotel was celebrate my son and husband birthday
There is one chinese seafood stall call Haoyou which the price are reasonable and food taste nice. The stall just step down from the hotel.
Cons:Long queue for waiting lift during check out time.Had been wait for 20 min. The waiting area do not have aircond and very hot which make the waiting situation getting worst."

"The hotel service was excellent, and all the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed in a suite at this Marriott-branded apartment hotel. While the space was quite ample, the cleanliness was unfortunately very average. I could distinctly smell an old, musty odor, along with hints of curry and sweat, on the duvet and pillows. Conveniently, there's a large Myrid supermarket less than a ten-minute walk away. Queensbay Mall, Penang's largest shopping center, is also just a 10-minute taxi ride away, featuring an AEON supermarket, a food court, and a wide array of clothing and cosmetic stores."
"The hotel was very strategically located with various eateries around. The front desk personnel was excellent at all inquiries and very humbler and helpful. The breakfast was excellent and with different menu daily which was excellent. The only one side that need improvement was the gym which need an upgrade and also the pool was in maintenance which i personally was looking forward to a swim , hence i do hope they can speed up the swimming pool maintenance soonest and hope to have another trip to penang and stay at Olive tree again."
"From the moment I stepped into the Iconic Marjorie Hotel, I was captivated by its elegant Peranakan-inspired design blended with modern luxury. The lobby’s warm ambiance and tasteful décor instantly set the tone for a relaxing getaway"
"Everything about my stay at Eastin Hotel Penang was excellent. The room was clean, the staff were professional and friendly, and the location was very convenient for business purposes. Amenities in the room were complete and well-maintained. I appreciated the minibar and coffee setup. Highly recommended for business travellers."
"Rubbish from previous booking still in the rubbish bin. No bowls provided in the Airbnb. The lady at the counter was rushing to leave when I checked in so a bit curt and rude with responses but I dont fault her. Cheap enough to consider staying another trip if needed."
"The host is Chinese, communication is seamless, and the host is very nice.
The hotel is located near Queensbay Mall, Penang's largest shopping mall. Eating and drinking is very convenient, and the airport is also very close.
Downstairs, there are various food stalls open late, offering a wide variety of delicious dishes at affordable prices.
This room backs onto the five-star Marjorie Hotel, but it's definitely more cost-effective than a five-star hotel. The top floor, on the 42nd floor, features an infinity pool, a gym, and an incredible view.
The kitchenware and seasonings provided by the host were basically sufficient. I only needed to go downstairs to buy some ingredients and cook delicious meals in my room.
Thank you, host, for making our Penang trip a perfect ending. I'll stay at your place again next time I visit."
"Penginapan yang selesa disekitar Bayan Lepas. Lokasi terletak tidak jauh dari lapangan terbang Pulau Pinang. Ruangan bangunan SOHO komersial diubahsuai menjadi tempat penginapan. Terdapat dua bilik dan satu bilik air. Deposit diperlukan sebanyak RM200. Proses check in sangat mudah, dan parking juga disediakan."

JJaeikThe host was friendly to provide midnight check in and room condition was clean and tidy with good air conditioning. And the location was convenient from Queensway mall.
AAnonymous UserAlll satisfied (including online services from the host) except the issue with parking RFID Card which was annoying because of malfunctioned during my stays.
I have to call upon either operator or personnel who worked nearby (at parking's gate) to open the barrier gate happened everytime I went out for my meeting with stakeholders or during foodies hunt.
However, to be fair, overalll, I still recommend this place (Setia Tri Suite by Homey Planet) to everyone. Kind host.
**A small space for improvement is the rising issue (RFID Card not detected) will be resolved very soon.
TTravel King of the KingThe location is superb close to Penang international airport, it's convenient for those who plan to stay one night for the next morning early flight. The hotel has a lift, but the tooth brush and tooth paste is not provided , please bring your own prior to arrivals.
The durian store opposite the hotel (outside of Giant bayan baru) is bad, please don't be cheated by them, , they won't change it for you although it was wet with water inside, bad taste and it's hard like stone. Furthermore, the price is expensive compared to market prices.
GGuest UserRequested for invoice on the day i checked out from hotel, but they said, they will email it later, okay fine. Waited for 4 days already, but did not yet received any email of invoice. Called up the hotel customer service, inquired regarding this matter, he asked to call back tmorow morning during office hour, okay fine , understood, but, the customer service replied in a harsh and rude way to me, asking to call back again tmoro. Really, bad experince of this. I would rate the service as bad. Otherwise, the food was excellent, the stays etc all are fair.
GGuest UserLocation was super close to the stadium which is great to attend concert and be able to walk back. Staff were friendly. Room is a little small but super clean, toilet is well maintained. Location is also surrounded by convinence shops and eateries ideal for walking to get snacks.
AAnonymous UserWe came on the day when there was water supply issue. Initially no water as the area tank is turned off 8pm. Reception did not inform us. Complained to another reception staff and they offered to give bottled water. Thank you. Water came back at about 11pm and water was back thankfully. Also, I booked room with window but it turns out no triple room that have window.
RRiyanaComfortable atmosphere, not noisy, quiet to rest at night, close to places to eat, only need to walk 1 minute, also close to the bus terminal, this is very helpful and enjoyable🤗🤗
AAli HashemiCertainly! Below is a **detailed, balanced, and constructive review template** for **Hangoutspacez Queensbay** (or a similar budget/co-living space in Penang). Since this isn’t a widely documented property, I’ll structure it generically so you can adapt it based on your actual experience.
---
### **Hangoutspacez Queensbay – Honest Review**
**Location: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- **Pros:** Close to Queensbay Mall (5–10 min walk), easy access to restaurants, supermarkets, and public transport. Convenient for business travelers (Bayan Lepas tech zone) or tourists exploring Penang’s south.
- **Cons:** Not in the heart of tourist spots like George Town (requires Grab/taxi).
**Cleanliness: ★★★☆☆** (3.5/5)
- **Pros:** Daily cleaning for common areas; linens provided are fresh.
- **Cons:** Occasional maintenance issues (e.g., slow drain in showers, worn-out furniture). Budget vibe—don’t expect luxury.
**Facilities: ★★★☆☆** (3/5)
- **Pros:** Free WiFi (decent speed), communal kitchen, and lounge area. Good for solo travelers or digital nomads.
- **Cons:** No gym/pool; shared bathrooms can get crowded during peak hours.
**Staff & Service: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Friendly and helpful for local tips, but limited 24/7 front desk support.
**Value for Money: ★★★★☆** (4/5)
- Affordable for Penang (around RM50–100/night for dorms). Ideal for short stays, but may lack long-term comforts.
**Room for Improvement:**
1. **Better Soundproofing** – Noise from common areas can be heard in private rooms.
2. **More Power Outlets** – Limited charging points in dorms.
3. **Clearer House Rules** – E.g., quiet hours or kitchen cleanup policies.
**Verdict:**
A **no-frills, social budget stay** best suited for backpackers, solo travelers, or those attending nearby events. Manage expectations—it’s functional but not luxurious.

### **How to Use This Review Constructively:**
- **If You’re a Traveler:** Compare with alternatives (e.g., Tune Hotel, capsule hostels). Prioritize location vs. price.
- **If You’re the Property Owner:** Address cleanliness/maintenance, add clear signage for rules and maybe create any accessible lockers available to utilize the space in the efficient manner.
