"I recently stayed at Eastin Hotel Penang, and unfortunately, the experience did not fully meet my expectations. The room felt quite outdated and was too cramped for two adults and one toddler. There was very limited space to move around comfortably, especially with luggage and a child. It did not feel suitable for a small family stay. The toilet appeared poorly maintained, with visible mold on the walls, making it look dirty and unpleasant. The wardrobe design was also unsettling it was an open wardrobe without doors located right next to the bed. When the lights were off and clothes were hanging inside, it felt quite eerie. Drinking water was limited to six small bottles per day, and toiletries were provided in minimal quantities. The pillows seemed old and flat, and were not comfortable to sleep on. Unlike other hotels that provide soft, fluffy pillows, these felt worn out and affected the quality of sleep. Breakfast service was another disappointment. Some staff at the egg station had difficulty understanding simple English instructions. When I asked for sunny side up eggs, I was served an omelette instead. When I requested a well-done, fully cooked egg for my child, the staff again seemed unable to understand, which was frustrating. On a positive note, the hotel’s location is convenient. It is only about a 3–4 minute walk to Queensbay Mall, making shopping and dining very accessible. It is also approximately 10–15 minutes’ drive to Penang International Airport and close to the Penang Bridge, which is convenient for travelers. Overall, the stay was disappointing in terms of room condition, comfort, and service quality. I hope the hotel can improve its maintenance standards and staff training to provide a better experience for future guests."

"Corum View hotel is very convenient. Walkable to sunshine and lots of eatery. Opposite giant. Our room was without a window so the air was a little stale. The toiler flush was not fantastic. The bed is a little too soft for me. Other than that service was great, location was grear"

"This hotel is just over 6 kilometers from Penang Airport, making it very convenient for early morning flights. It takes about half an hour to get to George Town city center by taxi, and taxis in Malaysia aren't expensive, so getting around is quite easy. There are plenty of food options nearby, mainly Indian and Southeast Asian cuisine. If you're looking for Chinese restaurants, they're about a 10-minute walk away. Breakfast was decent. Overall, I'd recommend it."

"I recently stayed at Eureka Hotel Penang, and overall, the experience was below expectations. Service: The service was average—nothing particularly outstanding or memorable. Facilities: The parking system was quite inconvenient and costly, especially for multiple entries and overnight stays. In addition, the environment was rather noisy, which made it difficult to rest comfortably. Cleanliness: This was the most disappointing aspect of the stay. The overall cleanliness was poor, and the toilet in particular was not properly cleaned(Urine Stain), which significantly affected the experience. Overall: There is room for improvement, particularly in cleanliness and facility management."

"Great hospitality and service throughout my stay in Penang Amari Spice Hotel. Upon arrival, the reception team kindly upgraded me to a Premier King room without any request, which was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious, clean, well-maintained, and had a pleasant scent—everything was excellent. I would like to express my utmost appreciation to the midnight team on 21/03/2026. During our stay, my friend suddenly fell seriously ill during midnight . We attempted to call emergency services (999), but unfortunately were unable to get through to the nearby general hospital immediately. The situation was critical, and waiting another 10–20 minutes could have put my friend’s life at risk. Thankfully, the Penang Amari hotel team acted swiftly and professionally. They followed up with us, and the female manager along with the guy management team arrived promptly to assess the situation. They provided immediate support and helped arrange transportation to the nearest hospital, ensuring we arrived within 10 minutes. Thanks to their quick response and care, my friend’s life was saved. And even after check out they still texting us to concern on the guest safety. We are deeply grateful for their kindness, efficiency, and dedication during such a critical moment. "The hotel's location near the airport with a complimentary airport shuttle service was a huge plus. We had an early flight at 7 AM the next day, and they checked us out at 4:50 AM and took us to the airport, saving us from the risk of being overcharged by a taxi. The hotel also has an on-site restaurant with reasonable prices; the coconut and stone pot chicken rice were quite good. There's a pool that's perfect for kids. The hotel also has a small courtyard with a mural wall that's great for photos. However, the room facilities are a bit dated. The large room I booked had a stained sofa. I'm not sure if it was perfume or an air freshener, but the scent in the room was a bit overwhelming and needs improvement."

One of the biggest highlights was the huge room we stayed in—it was incredibly spacious, making it perfect for the family, and remarkably clean from top to bottom. The food at the on-site restaurant was delicious; we particularly loved the Ikan siakap tiga rasa, which is a must-try for anyone visiting. After our meal, we spent a relaxing afternoon by the swimming pool, which was clean and well-maintained, providing a great escape from the Penang heat. The location is also unbeatable for sightseeing. It is located very near to the Aquarium Tunku Abdul Rahman (Fisheries Department Research Institute), which made our morning outing so convenient. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stay with excellent local flavors and easy access to nearby attractions!”"
