"Myself and wife, looking for some relief from the heat and humidity had an overnight stay in Baguio. Both seniors by Philippine standards, though still working in UK. We booked a suite and requested view over countryside or city, king sized double required. For less than £60 including breakfasts it was a done deal. We were allocated room 501, up 1 level ( bear in mind there are rooms above and below the reception level), normal for Baguio given the topology of the area. Room views are spectacular, no noise from adjoining lift at all, 2 quarter windows opened and had gnat Mesh covers ( we left these ajar to hear the local sounds that were hardly audible). Efficient Air con in room (though no remote control), good sized, wall mounted TV ( a UK news channel would have been appreciated), room mini bar doesn't exist ( not the stated required P2000 deposit at book on as booking was prepaid online) 2x std sized bottles of water, kettle, hairdryer, small fridge, 2x tea coffee sugar and creamer, 2x cups and saucers, a Bible ( missed from other 2 hotels stayed at this vacation) Breakfast was a good selection buffet that sated our appetites until the evening. Staff attentive but not overbearing. I'm I think me and the wife have found our escape location for future trips to the PI's that we do at least bi-annually"

"Stayed for 2 nights and had a very pleasant experience. The hotel is very clean , just enough space, and amenities with friendly courteous staff. Sumptuous Free breakfast was a plus. Hot water with good pressure for shower . The only con we can think of was the stiff sheets cover . The bedsheet we lay on was soft but the sheet cover was stiff . Though very clean and neat , It made us felt colder when we’re under it. I brought a flat sheet from home so my husband and I placed it under the stiff sheets cover during the night. But overall, we loved our stay. We don’t mind staying again especially if they can have their bedsheets cover softer."

Where to Stay in Baguio

Baguio moves at its own calm and cozy rhythm, cool in the morning and peaceful at night. Early in the day, you’ll see people walking through Burnham Park wearing jackets, vendors selling taho and strawberry jam, and the smell of coffee filling the air. Around the market, locals arrange vegetables, flowers, and woven crafts while taxis and jeeps move slowly along Session Road. Up in the hills, hotels and cabins welcome travelers who come to enjoy the mountain air. By afternoon, the fog starts to roll in, and families relax at Camp John Hay or sip hot chocolate in cafés. When night falls, the city lights glow softly, the air turns cold, and you can hear laughter from small restaurants serving bulalo and grilled corn. Life in Baguio feels simple, refreshing, and full of warmth.

You can also fly to Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Manila and travel up to Baguio by bus or private car, which takes around 4 to 6 hours depending on traffic.

From the airport, travelers can book a private transfer, take a bus, or ride a van directly to Baguio. Many hotels can help arrange airport pick-up services if you prefer a smoother trip. For public transport, several bus companies like Victory Liner and Genesis JoyBus operate regular trips to Baguio from both Clark and Metro Manila terminals.

Once you arrive, getting around Baguio is simple. Taxis are available everywhere and always use the meter. Jeepneys are good for short rides to local spots, while GrabCar works in the city for added convenience. If your hotel is near Session Road or Burnham Park, most attractions are within walking distance. For places farther out like Mines View Park, Camp John Hay, or The Mansion, taxis are the easiest option.

Tips for Booking Baguio Hotels

Book Early for Peak Seasons

Hotels in Baguio fill up quickly during long weekends, holidays, and school breaks. If you plan to visit during Christmas, Holy Week, or the Panagbenga Flower Festival (February), it’s best to book your room early. Popular areas like Session Road, Camp John Hay, and Mines View are usually the first to sell out.

Check for Local Events

Events in Baguio, such as university graduations, conventions, and the Flower Festival, can affect hotel prices and availability. Booking early helps you get better deals and ensures you can stay close to your preferred area. For example, The Manor at Camp John Hay and Microtel by Wyndham Baguio often get fully booked weeks before major events.

Take Advantage of Booking Deals

Websites like Trip.com often offer discounts, coupons, and limited-time deals. Members can also enjoy extra perks like free breakfast or late check-out. Booking online early helps you find great rates at places like Le Monet Hotel or Casa Vallejo, leaving more room in your budget for café hopping or local food trips.

Choose Your Location Wisely

You don’t need to stay in the most expensive hotel to enjoy Baguio. Choose the area that fits your travel style and budget:

  • Session Road & Burnham Park – Best for first-time visitors who want to be near shops, cafés, and attractions. Try Microtel by Wyndham Baguio or Casa Vallejo.
  • Camp John Hay – Perfect for travelers who want a quiet, nature-filled stay. Consider The Manor or Le Monet Hotel.

AAnonymous UserWe stayed Nov at the 3rd floor back view and it was so hot specially in the morning time were the sun is facing the window. You cannot stand to stay in the room and bear the hot tempreture inside the room. And in the evening since you need to open the window to let cold wind circulate in the room but the downside you can hear the loud voice of other guest chatting until late hours. Even if they have reminders in the room about the silent time is from 10pm. I called the receptionist to complain but still they havent dont anything about it. I guess the hotel managment should consider installing aircondition since we all aware about the climate change. Its not that cold anymore in baguio considering its already November.

MMelanieDAGreat accommodation and great food. Not satisfied with Front Office service. Key card was not working upon checkin, that was supposed to be ready and working bfore the guests arrived right? And we haven’t tried the pool bcause it was raining that day and on the next day they didn’t allowed us to use it as they put chlorine to clean it and that took more than 3hrs so no chance of using it as it was checkout time already😕

112MariaThis is our second stay at the log cabin, with the first one being a delightful experience in Q4 of 2017. This time, we booked the Pine Suite, which impressed us with its amenities and a terrace overlooking the Botanical Garden. While the log cabin itself seemed a bit older, I appreciate the exclusive parking at the front lobby. The free breakfast buffet was a bit of a letdown, so we opted out after the first try. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would likely return, but might skip the breakfast buffet again unless there are improvements.

GGuest UserThis hotel has some good points: 1. Great buffet bfast with a variety of food selections. I like their dried fish, omelette, langgonisa, coffee, breads, fruits. But noticed they did not serve bananas. Staff looks attentive to the needs of guests. 2. Have greats restos and shops nearby. Also near the CJH Conference area. 3. Has ample parking and nice garden plus heated pool. However this hotel also needs improvement on the following areas: 1. Front desk looks like they are not coordinated. Made separate booking for three nights via Agoda and Trip.com and informed the hotel about this arrangement. However, after our first night, front desk asked us if we are extending our stay. Worst, they deactivated our key cards so we have to go down again to have them activated again which caused some inconvenience. 2. Toilet has a foul odor so called housekeeping who took some time to attend to us. They told us what to do to avoid the foul smell but some unpleasant smell still remained so reported this to the team leader who sent their engineering to check. The hotel staff told us they will return but never did. So problem was not solved. 3. Requested for late checkout since our trip back to Manila was still at 2pm. However, front desk cannot commit and said will require approval. We followed up and got no positive feedback. Called team leader and made complaints about issues 1-3 and had our request accepted. 4. Very difficult to book a taxi or grab and the guards said because of too many guests or tourists. But it’s a pity that such an expensive hotel also has no shuttles service. We booked this hotel because it’s near the conference area but disappointed because we felt we didn’t get the value and services we were expecting. Anyway, thanks to the great staff.

GGuest UserWould have rated 5 stars for all categories but few honest opinions: 1. Wifi connection needs improvement. Average speed is 10mbps. Network is not very stable. Network gets disconnected every now and then. 2. Shower needs to be on 10mins prior the water gets warm (only gets to lukewarm). Would have been a plus if water gets heated without wasting water and if water gets warmer than lukewarm. Overall, pleasant stay. Really good value for money. Bed is really comfortable and staff is pleasing. Location is really where it is best, 5min walk to Burnham Park which is the center of everything. :)

KKSD31We recently stayed at this hotel, and overall, it was a good experience. The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained, with friendly and helpful staff who made our stay pleasant. The room was also clean and comfortable, especially the bathroom it was spotless, with no signs of prior use or any foul smells. However, the lack of an exhaust fan meant that any odors stayed trapped inside. Additionally, the room had no windows that could be opened for fresh air circulation. While there was an air conditioner, it still felt like the air wasn’t circulating well. Breakfast was just okay nothing special. The selection was quite limited, so you’re left with only what’s available. Compared to Elizabeth Hotel, which is more affordable and offers a more appetizing breakfast buffet with a wider variety, this was a bit of a letdown. As for amenities, the hotel offers a jacuzzi and a heated pool, which is great in theory. However, their location in the middle of a restaurant makes it awkward to use since you’ll likely have an audience while swimming. We also tried the Japanese restaurant on the mezzanine level. The food was good and affordable, but the sashimi was cut too thick about an inch which made it difficult to eat. Despite these minor inconveniences, I highly recommend this hotel for its exceptional cleanliness. If cleanliness is a top priority for you, this hotel is a great choice!

AAnonymous UserThere are a few points would like to bring up 1. The ceiling fan in the room is functional, However, the wind is totally not strong enough, so turning it on means not turning it on. 2. No YouTube/Netflix function on TV. Staying other hotels in Baguio which the said functions are available as well. But here no. 3. The hangers in wardrobe are so inconvenient, It can only be hung in the closet and cannot be taken away. Sometime want to hang clothes at the balcony but have no way. 4. Suggest to have USB socket ports at the bed side would be more convenient 5. Seems no individual button could control the light of baloncy. Seems the light is connected to some of the lights in room. 6. Front desk are friendly but can be more professional. Approached to the reception but no one acknowledged. We have to tell them ”check in” proactively 7. Prior arrival, sent the message to hotel for the room inquire, the first they replied, but afterwards, no replied from hotel anymore. 8. Breakfast not much selection. And many staffs at the counter 9. Shower water pressure not strong enough and hot water not hot enough. And no water refill after make up room service. Even so, base on the hotel location and the mountain view, will consider staying again in the future. Hope the management will review the comments and hopefully will see some improvements by then. Thank you!
