It is an inn with a lot of nature. The double cherry blossoms seen from the veranda on the second floor are beautiful. The river and the sea are close and within walking distance, so I jogged every day during my stay.
The washing machine is 100 yen per time with detergent.
It is easy to stay for a long time because there is a veranda with a dried stick in front of the room.
It is a thick inn that can be remembered after about five years.
thank you for your help.
Mishima is a bit of an undiscovered gem, isn't it? 😆 I stayed for three nights and it was incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend it for those who enjoy slow-paced, independent travel. It's a charming town nestled at the foot of Mount Fuji, where melted snow flows into the picturesque Genbei River. Mishima makes an excellent base camp for exploring destinations like Izu Kogen, Mount Omuro, the Cactus Park, Hakone, Owakudani, the Hakone Pirate Ship, and even Lake Kawaguchiko for Mount Fuji views. What's more, accessing Atami Station by car/train from here is also very convenient.
Now, about the hotel itself. The rooftop onsen (hot spring bath) is definitely a major plus! It was incredibly clean and comfortable, and never crowded. Whether you go for a morning soak or an evening dip to unwind, the views are absolutely stunning 🌟 Breakfast was also fantastic, as you can see from the photos I've included! 😁 The service was superb, and I was pleasantly surprised to find a washing machine available – a combined washer-dryer for just 500 yen for 120 minutes! That was a huge bonus 🥳 If possible, try to book their largest room type. We couldn't get a corner room, so we ended up with a 27 sq m room, which wasn't huge. However, all the other aspects of our stay were so delightful and comfortable 😍
The guesthouse accommodation is the annex of the Hiromi SPA Hotel
It is located in front of Ebisu Island
It is on the same premises as the main building of Hiromi SPA Hotel but there is a separate entrance and use is limited to the annex
Use of the main building of Hiromi SPA Hotel is an additional charge
Use of the large bath is 1200 yen per person bathing tax 150 yen
Use of the BBQ area is 1500 yen per person for 25 hours
Use of the bar lounge is 1000 yen per person
This hotel is located in uphill. It is difficult to walk up to the hotel, better to plan your itinerary with free shuttle schedule. The free shuttle bus schedule stored in the hotel website but the file I couldn’t able to download. You can call the hotel for details. The hotel facilitates are good but every single spot are not walking distance. It is suggested to buy some snacks/food before going up to the hotel. If you play golf, they have a view of Mt Fuji.
The staff here are polite and willing to answer your questions.
The hotel is older, and the lighting, in particular, can be dim at night.
I recommend avoiding the large bathing room, as the onsen is rarely used, and there are plenty of toiletry areas and amenities.
The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options!
The only downside is that luggage storage is limited to two hours after check-out. I've never experienced such a time limit at other hotels in Shizuoka city. I don't think a hotel this expensive would limit luggage storage to just two hours.
A very worthwhile place to stay. I will go to Izu Peninsula next time. Thank you to all the staff of Atagawakan. They kept an eye on us even though we missed the pick-up time. They also arranged a staff member to pick us up to the hotel on a dark rainy night. There were also Chinese-speaking staff in the hotel. Then dinner was delivered to the room. That moment was so happy! ! The scenery in the hotel room is also very healing. The service is super good. It has become a place I will definitely stay when I go to Izu in the future. Thank you again! ! ! (Especially the driver who came to pick us up in the rain that day and the girl who added WeChat in charge of the pick-up station)
The sea view is beautiful. Although the hotel is a little old in decoration, the hygiene is very good. The bathroom is newly renovated and the facilities are very good. The only drawback is that the room lighting is a little dim and the door can be upgraded to a smart lock~
It was a wonderful place. Quite as I wanted. My room
was with lovely details and everything well prepared. Train station was 6 minutes walk and the beach just across the street also 2 minutes walk only. With approx 15 minutes walk you could be in the next bigger area with food shops restaurants and the nice river. I could book a private 50 minute outdoor onsen time and it was awesome. The stuff are absolutely friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable and had no wishes. I would come back.
Natural hot spring baths! Enjoy the fresh produce-free organic farm products, seafood

__WeChat366053****The small house is nestled in the mountains not far from Izu-Okawa Station. It's a classic Japanese-style room, with greenery visible from the window, inviting the mountain into the room, and the moonlit nights. The chirping of insects and the white noise of the water are soothing, and I headed upstairs with a warm bath, where I had the best sleep I've had in ages.
The staff was very attentive and gentle, helping with transportation, pouring drinks, and making breakfast. Sitting in the room with iced green tea, gazing out the window, my heart calmed.
After tire of the crowds at Asakusa's attractions, I came to Izu to see the mountains and the sea. I was so happy to stay here.
The room was clean, the decor was fresh, and the hot pool was warm. If you're not driving, you really need to plan your time well, as train schedules can be unpredictable, and getting to and from all the attractions requires advance planning. If you haven't already ordered food, it's also worth buying it beforehand, otherwise it'll be a bit inconvenient.
GGuest UserI suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can.
The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se.
The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa.
We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good.
The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.
GGuest UserThe hotel is located in the mountains near Shuzenji Temple. We originally booked this hotel expecting a beautiful view, but the waiter actually gave us a room facing the staff entrance. Not only did we not have a window view, but as soon as we opened the curtains, we could see the staff coming in and out and the garbage trucks, which really affected our mood. The hygiene in the hot spring dressing room was also worrying. The wall near the exhaust fan was obviously dusty and dirty. The hygiene of this hotel was not very good. 😑 There was hair left by someone on the bedside in the room. Sigh😑, I have to give a bad review.

GGuest UserWe had a really great experience at this hotel. There is a shuttle bus near the hotel that takes you to and from the JR Gotemba station and the Gotemba Premium Outlets.
The room is really big for a Japanese hotel, and you even have a jacuzzi/hot spring bath in your own room! As for breakfast, it is buffet style with a good selection. The food is also delicious!
The best part of all is still the service they provide. At the Fuji Outlet Hot Spring Hotel, they really go out of the way to serve their guests. We had 2 suitcases stored in the hotel when we checked out and went shopping at the outlets. We went back to the hotel to pick up our suitcases at around 19:20 and intended to take a taxi to the JR Gotemba station to catch a train back to Tokyo station. The front desk staff helped us call a taxi but no taxi would take the order because there was a bad traffic jam. It was on 3rd January 2025, a public holiday, and there were many cars heading for the outlets. Upon knowing our dilemma, I think it was the hotel owner, instructed a staff who just got off duty to drive us to the station. He even checked the train schedule for us! They refused to accept when we offered payment for the ride.
Overall, the service was superb and I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. They have front office staff who speaks either fluent English or Chinese.
We wish to thank the owner and his staff for such great service and will definitely stay in this hotel again if we were back in Gotemba.
GGuest UserHaving a hotel with a bathtub is an absolute game-changer! After walking thousands of steps and feeling utterly exhausted every day, a good soak in the tub was incredibly soothing. On top of that, they offer unlimited complimentary noodles every evening. For the price and quality in Japan, this place is truly unbeatable!
GGuest UserThe hotel boasts an excellent location, right behind Gotemba Premium Outlets. The facilities are also quite good. Private onsen baths need to be booked in advance, with options on both the first and third floors; the third-floor bath is 1000 JPY more expensive. I specifically booked a room with a view of Mount Fuji, but unfortunately, the sky wasn't cooperating, and it was consistently hidden behind a thick blanket of clouds. Guess I'll just have to come back again for another try!
YYumendelierenThis hotel boasts stunning views. The rooms are incredibly spacious, and you can soak in the hot spring bath while enjoying direct views of Mount Fuji. I'll definitely be staying longer on my next visit! A complimentary shuttle service to the hotel is a huge plus, and the overall environment is truly wonderful. The only minor drawback is that dining options aren't very convenient.

IidayinThe hotel room was spacious but quite dated. Its location wasn't very convenient; despite distances not being far, the uphill roads made walking quite tiring, especially since we had to pass through a somewhat secluded area that felt completely unsafe to walk through at night. Although the hotel offers a shuttle service, morning drop-offs required prior booking, and afternoon pick-ups were at fixed times, ending quite early at 5:30 PM. I personally felt that shops in this area generally close early, but for the hotel's shuttle service to stop even *before* the shops closed was extremely inconvenient. It really should run until at least 6:30 PM. Most guests staying at the hotel were Japanese, with very few foreign visitors. Furthermore, the hotel's cleanliness wasn't up to standard; on the day we checked in, there was sand on the tatami mats, which slightly detracted from the overall experience. Both the restroom and shower were incredibly tiny. This might be because of the on-site hot springs, perhaps they didn't expect guests to shower in their rooms. Additionally, while the hotel faces the sea, the sound of the waves was genuinely loud and disturbed our sleep. Lastly, I must express my dissatisfaction with the hotel's shuttle staff. They exhibited discriminatory behavior. On our last day, upon seeing that we were not Japanese, they refused to help us with our luggage. However, for the very next guests, who spoke Japanese, they readily assisted them.
