This hotel is incredibly close to Kyoto Station (just a 5-minute walk, and very easy to find if you exit from the Central Gate), making it super convenient for getting around. There's a 7-Eleven conveniently located directly across the street, and plenty of great restaurants within a 10-minute walk. It's very clean and quiet, and laundry facilities are available. I stayed in a Kyoto Tower room, which had large windows (though they don't open) offering a great view of Kyoto Tower.

The breakfast was so nice even tempura was delicious as it was hot enough and very crispy. For the fruit it tasted so good and it costs ¥3000/person which is so affordable😆 When you just get in the hotel you will felt so comfortable since they had set up aromatherapy in the hotel lobby and it made me feel relaxed and it smells so nice for me❤️ I would love to get back to this hotel once I get back to Kyoto😍

The hotel is just one stop away from Kyoto JR Station; you step right out into it. There's also a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's very convenient for visiting attractions in Kyoto city. The whole place feels very new and modern. You're required to take off your shoes upon entering the hotel, and walking barefoot throughout the entire premises takes a bit of getting used to. They offer complimentary late-night noodles starting at 9:30 PM daily. In the mornings, there's unlimited Yakult, and in the evenings, free-flow ice pops. Both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs) are available. However, since Kyoto likely doesn't have volcanoes, the overall quality of the hot springs can't quite compare to similar hotels in areas like Hakone. P.S. This hotel belongs to the same management group as Mizunone, where I stayed in Hakone last year.

This is an absolutely wonderful hotel! The top floor features a lounge with stunning views, where you can catch the sunset and the entire Kyoto nightscape in the evening. The surrounding area is packed with dining and drinking options – you'll never have to worry about finding food. In fact, it's so incredibly convenient to eat out that the only challenge is deciding among so many delicious choices! There are also many charming little shops nearby, yet the area isn't noisy or chaotic, creating a truly pleasant and inviting atmosphere. Transportation is excellent, too. I particularly enjoyed the drinks and beer in the lounge; sipping one while watching the sunset in the evening was pure bliss. The hot springs were also excellent. It offers superb value for money, and I will definitely be back!

The hotel boasts a charming Japanese style, creating a very cozy and welcoming atmosphere. Even the old-fashioned keys for the room doors were a delightful touch. The hotel offers both private onsen baths and a large public bathhouse. I tried both and actually found the public bathhouse to be cleaner. While the private baths provided good privacy, the pools themselves were somewhat small. Being surrounded by plants, I noticed some small insects and hair floating on the water. You're meant to use a net provided nearby to scoop these out yourself. It was quite dimly lit, and I worried I wouldn't be able to clean it thoroughly, especially since the net itself had holes. Ultimately, this was a bit off-putting, so I ended up preferring the public bath. But that's just my personal take. The hotel's meals were plentiful, but the taste was just average. Overall, I still really appreciated the hotel's aesthetic and found my stay very comfortable.

Facilities: The facilities were excellent; my wife was so impressed with the bathroom design that she wants to replicate it at home. Cleanliness: Housekeeping service was superb. Ambiance: The hotel features its own garden, though it's not very large. Service: Very good. When my wife needed assistance during her period, they provided it promptly with just one phone call. And when we stained the sheets, they replaced them all immediately. Natural Hot Spring: Excellent! No photography is allowed inside. The facilities are separate for men and women, with modern soaking pools. Realistically, you'd only soak for about half an hour, and it's free! Personal care products are provided. For several days afterwards, we actually just went to the hot spring to shower because it was so convenient and well-equipped. Overall, because we extended our stay for another two nights, the additional room we booked wasn't as good as our initial one in terms of size and facilities (it was peak season, and better rooms were unavailable due to our poor initial planning).

Located right in the heart of the Shijo commercial district! The front desk staff on the first floor were genuinely handsome and incredibly patient! It's quite rare to see such handsome Japanese men! And then there's the hotel's rooftop bar! It's truly fantastic and has an incredible 'wow' factor. Imagine sitting there with a drink, soaking your feet, and gazing out at the Kyoto cityscape – you can even spot Kiyomizu Temple, Ninen-zaka, and overlook the Kamo River. It's absolutely wonderful. The hotel's onsen bath is also incredibly relaxing! I wholeheartedly recommend it – you absolutely won't be disappointed! However, the rooms are a bit on the small side.

Very satisfied with Wenzhu Village! Beautiful environment and great outdoor hot springs After taking a dip, you can get up and rest on a lounge chair outside before continuing. The room we stayed in this time was very spacious and there was enough space for the twins. Let him add an extra set of beds in the Japanese room My wife is pregnant and the baby is sleeping in a bed that is quite spacious so I can sleep next door. TV can connect to mobile YouTube and Netflix Great for showing videos to children The meal was eaten at the restaurant next door. The portion was very sufficient. Variety of meals and very good value for money It takes about 2 minutes to walk to the pedestrian street and you can take a boat. It takes about 5 minutes to get to Amanohashidate Rotating Bridge It shouldn’t take ten minutes to walk to the cable car. The location is very good Very recommended hotel

AAhmet ZekiDear Sir/Madam, I recently had the opportunity to stay at your hotel, and I would like to share my experience with you. First and foremost, I want to express my gratitude for the exceptional design and comfort your property offers. Kengo Kuma’s architectural brilliance, with its use of natural wood, thoughtful lighting, and integration of art pieces, creates a stunning and serene atmosphere. Additionally, the comfort of the rooms, the quality of the materials, the size of the beds, and the premium linens were truly impressive. In terms of design and comfort, your hotel sets a remarkable standard. However, I did encounter several service-related issues that I believe could be addressed to enhance the overall guest experience. I would like to share these points in the hope that they are helpful for future improvements: 1. Breakfast Lounge and Sushi Area: The proximity of these two areas creates a strong odor upon entering, which can be unpleasant. Improved ventilation could easily mitigate this issue. 2. Food and Beverage Service After Breakfast: The lack of food and beverage service after breakfast hours was inconvenient. At the very least, providing a space for guests to enjoy tea or coffee would be a welcome addition. 3. Room Service Availability: After a long journey, I was surprised to learn that room service was unavailable and that only rice balls could be provided. Expanding room service options would greatly improve the guest experience. 4. Flexibility with Breakfast Hours: Due to the time difference, I arrived slightly late for breakfast at 10:10 AM and was informed that nothing could be served. Even my request for tea did not receive a clear response. Greater flexibility in accommodating guests dealing with jet lag would be highly appreciated. 5. Lobby Services: The inability to offer anything to drink or even host a guest in the lobby felt restrictive. This could be improved to make the lobby a more welcoming space. 6. Spa Experience: I was unable to experience the renowned Banyan Tree spa as it was fully booked. Expanding spa reservation availability would help meet guest expectations for this signature offering. In summary, while the hotel excels in design and comfort, the service offerings seem to be constrained by rigid rules and limited hours, which can detract from the overall guest experience. I strongly believe that adopting a more flexible, guest-centered approach would significantly enhance satisfaction. If the above issues were addressed, I would certainly consider staying at your hotel again during my next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards, next visit to Kyoto. Once again, I want to thank you for the exceptional design and comfort provided during my stay and hope that these suggestions contribute to further elevating your standards. Best regards,

DDmitry NateWe stayed at this guest house in early March. We were delighted! The guest house is located near the bus stop, you can walk and enjoy the views of the village. There is also a transfer. The dinner was simply gorgeous, delicious miso, a large selection of vegetables and broths. Breakfast was also good, although not so varied. Very beautiful garden. The guest house itself is in a traditional style 😍 the owner gave us instructions and a tour, was very polite and friendly. The guest house has some rules, for example, keeping quiet, which creates an atmosphere of complete relaxation. The room itself is clean, the bed linen is fresh, there are instructions on how to lay out the futon. We were given yukatas and warm sweaters, towels and accessories for washing and brushing teeth. There are hair dryers too. There are two onsen, male and female, they alternate to visit each. When we were there, the onsen opened on schedule, but there is enough time to stay. The barrel with hot water is simply gorgeous, in the open air, around the forest. It is forbidden to take photos and videos on the onsen territory. Sorry for breaking the rules, but I wanted to capture this beauty at a time when no one was there. The only thing I missed was some kind of bench next to the onsen in the open air so that you could cool off and sit in the hot water again. But this is probably a purely Russian habit. We were very pleased with our stay in this guest house.

GGuest UserThe hotel is next to Sanzen-in Temple, and is a Japanese inn style. It was a bit cold to stay at night in December. The area is not large. I wanted to see the red leaves of Sanzen-in Temple, but they were almost fallen when I arrived on the 5th. If you want to experience it, just stay for one night. Overall, it is not as convenient and comfortable as a star hotel. Breakfast and dinner are not bad, but not amazing. Take it as a Japanese cultural experience.

GGuest UserHotel location is good, Takashiyama department store is just cross the street. It's a small hotel, and not easily found. On ground floor lobby, they will have a simple check of documents. Afterwards, a staff will bring us to 9th floor reception area for check in. We were served with a cup of tea and sweets while waiting. After the check in, another staff will escort us to have a tour around the hotel and our room. Room is spacious with private Onsen. Though room's city view is fair only, the main selling point is the open-air onsen. The private open-air onsen is great and very comfortable. The fridge in our room has many free drinks including wine and beer. Unexpectedly, we could see the sunrise from our room. The Japanese breakfast is delicate and good. Everything is good except the bed mattress is too soft for us. 9th floor reception floor has a nice view, two public hot springs are located on this floor. This floor serves with free coffee and drinks and ice cream bars. It’s surprising that besides the hotel front entrance, there is a secret side door, no need to pass through the lobby counter, like a private entrance with a sense of privilege.

GGuest UserGood location about 10 minutes walk to the train station and near to subway and some buses. The area is a little bleak but there are some restaurants around. Kyoto being so heavily touristy you get less for more, and that’s a bit the case here. Still, the artificial onsen was welcome and the breakfast had good variety. Nice staff in the restaurant.
