4-Star Hotels in Lao Cai Province, Vietnam

Loved the stay here. On my visit, I think it was almost a full house booked by a local Vietnamese tour group. It might be, or might not be, because of that, but I was bumped up to a suite, for which I was really appreciative. The suite was super spacious, more space than I, a solo traveler, could need. The hotel was also classy and luxurious. I actually fell asleep in the bathtub and overslept. I took the night train to Sa Pa, so upon arrival it was obviously too early to check in. Hotel staff was very helpful to offer luggage storage while I went to the roof top to have my breakfast and prepare myself to visit Fansipan. Location was super central, only 5 minutes walk to Sa Pa square (where across the street you could catch the mountain tram from Sun Plaza to the cable car station for Fansipan). At the rooftop, and in my room, there were also great views available of the valley and mountain ranges. I think upgrading me to a suite was a great marketing move, because I was grateful and decided to have dinner in the hotel’s restaurant, as well as use their spa facility for a full body massage. Prices were pretty fair for in-house facilities, which I appreciated. Breakfast was a buffet — it wasn’t too memorable in my opinion, but the variety was huge, and the Vietnamese tourists seemed to love it. Staff were also friendly, helpful and great. All in all, I recommend this, and I would love to stay here again.

The room we booked was a premium room with a Mountain View and balcony, it was a bit more expensive but the views and overall quality of the room was definitely worth it. Clean rooms and good quality facilities in the room. Unfortunately we felt it was slightly let down by some of the staff and would have expected more from a 4 star, especially after paying a higher amount. It felt as though staff were generally disinterested and often hesitant to help with questions. We had a long wait after checking out and got told we couldn’t order any drinks when sitting in the lobby despite their being drinks menus out on the tables. Additionally we had an issue with our toilet which was unusable and, despite being told ‘one moment’ after contacting reception and then having the phone put down, were left waiting over an hour. We had to go downstairs and remind them of the room number and felt were generally met with a hesitance to help. We also asked twice about booking a taxi in advance to Lao Cai station to arrive for a scheduled train. They couldn’t give us a definitive price, like most would, and it also seemed like an inconvenience that we had asked to book one in advance. Eventually we were told one would be booked for us but, when we arrived to wait, the staff again seemed to not be aware of the booking. It was all a little awkward. One member of the staff was lovely and helpful, but unfortunately we feel was let down by her colleagues. Overall a perfect hotel for location, comfort and views but staff dampened the experience.

This hotel was well located n room had a balcony with views of lake which was 2 minute walk. Beds very comfortable, shower lovely, mini fridge, great buffet breakfast, huge choice of foods. Staff pleasant and helpful. Only stayed one night unfortunately.

Overall very good. The hotel service staff is very professional. The location is convenient. The surrounding markets, supermarkets and restaurants are very convenient. It is very close to the customs. It takes 20,000 to 30,000 VND to get there by taxi. It takes more than ten minutes to walk.

Amazing stay at Sapa Town! The location is walking distance to the shops in town but not too near so much so that we can still enjoy the peace and tranquility of the place. Aliana hotel is the place to stay for when you visit Sapa Town not only their beds are comfortable, the room space and service is great! Kudos to Loang and the team at Aliana who speaks great English and provided excellent hospitality and service!

The hotel is located right in the heart of the town and just few minutes away from the church. There are many good restaurants and cafes nearby. The room is very clean and it has great view of the town as well as terrace rice paddies. On a clear day you can even see the highest peak of Vietnam - Fansipan. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend this place for those who plan to visit Sapa

Wow! What can I say? First off, the owners - Chang and David. They are the best! They treated us like family. The rooms are excellent! We booked 2 rooms. One was right beside the pool with a train view from inside the room. The other room is at the 3rd floor, overlooking the train and other building of Sapa. The hotel has 2 service elevators, a children's pool, billiard hall, food was nice. Coffee was superb! David offered to drive us around town. We went to the Alpine Coaster and Cat-Cat village with him as our driver. Even offered to buy us coffee. Chang went over the top as far as serving us. She arrange our Fansipan experience, called the bus operator to arrange a pick-up right from the hotel on our way back to Hanoi. They even left us with a thank you gift. Would I come back? Definitely yes. Will I recommend it to family, friends and others? A BIG YES!

Stayed here for a short trip but it was fantastic. This is a great getaway if you’re looking for a nice and quiet place to relax. The scenery is beautiful, full of the locals gardens and mountains. It’s about 10 minutes or less from the main attraction areas but we didn’t mind. The main attractions tend to get crowded and loud so coming back to a quiet place at night was great. We taxied there and back thanks to the very helpful receptionist who would call the taxis for us. They have motorbike for rental too. Our room was great and comfy. We loved all the embroidery items and pictures displayed throughout the place. The people here are very nice and caring. Breakfast was delicious and many options to choose from. Pho for breakfast was A++. We also ate at the restaurant for Lunch/Dinner and the food was delicious. Wait time was a bit longer but you can tell everything was cooked fresh, so no complaints there. We ate here every day because the food was delicious and authentic. All the managers and workers were so nice and the atmosphere was great. Going to try the heated pool tomorrow. We had a pleasant stay overall. Next time we’ll stay longer for sure.

We had a couple of issues with language barrier but not a hard problem to solve, just come to reception to check everything. Amazing stay, would highly recommend!!!

The room was luxurious, the views spectacular, the pool was probably the best I have ever seen and the staff super friendly. 10 out of 10 would highly recommend to anyone staying at Sapa. The hotel organised a guided trek which was one of the highlights of our trip. It was also nice to stay ten minutes out of Sapa, which is very busy, as it was much more relaxed and close to many small villages but also easy to take a taxi to Sapa.

This hotel lives up to its online reputation. We arrived at the hotel at 5 in the morning. The front desk staff on duty was sleeping in the lobby. When we came through the front door, he woke up, quickly put away all his pillows and blankets, and in no time was ready to welcome us. The room was beautiful. I never used this word before when giving reviews, but that's the word that I think can best describe the room: beautiful. It was well-designed and well-appointed. They didn't use much expensive materials but the room felt luxurious nonetheless. The bed was heavenly. It's the best bed we had during our trip to Vietnam. But the crown jewel of the hotel is the staff. Never have I seen people who were so eager to help. They engaged guests in conversations. They offer suggestions. When we checked out, my wife left her tote bag at the hotel and didn't realize it until we were at the bus station. We called the hotel to ask if they could send the bag to Hanoi. But beyond our expectations, the front desk staff drove to the bus station to deliver the bag himself. I'd give the hotel 7 stars. Too bad there are only 5 available.

I searched for many hotels to stay in Sapa. I decided on this one because of the mountain view, indoor pool, and good breakfast, and the reviews. The price was also a little cheaper when I made the reservation. It's about a 5-minute walk from Hanoi Church. The city is small, so you can walk to Sapa Lake and the market. The first night's breakfast wasn't a buffet because there were only a few people staying, but they brought us the dishes on the list. I was also satisfied. They kept our luggage even before check-in. This is a very good hotel.

i and my customers had been to stay day use here for 3 hours, the women of receptionist and a waitress at Cat Cat bar work at morning shift ( 25/01 ) were very friendly and pretty they’re warmly welcome us. + More specially Ms Thu was nice, helpful us and brought us to the car i not stay here for long time but i very appreciate about the staffs, just a little sad i don’t know the hotel don’t have bellman or they didn’t take care for our luggages, despite miss Thu she was try to help us but she is a women, the luggages big so i have bring by myself.

Located in the city of Laokai, it was in a place that was not lost. After arriving at the bus terminal in Laokai by bus from Hanoi, I understood that I would tell you the name of our hotel when I took a minibus. It was a clean hotel and there was no dissatisfaction with the water around the shower. Beautiful hotel and very friendly, helpful staff. I was there for a local conference, and the accomodations were superb. Very spacious and clean rooms, nice facilities, extensive breakfast buffet. I only wish I had been able to stay longer to relax and enjoy all that the hotel has to offer.
