Facilities: Though a bit dated, the facilities are very well-maintained. My only minor gripe was the bathroom toilet; it was incredibly small—quite possibly the smallest I've encountered in Japan—making it genuinely inconvenient to use.
Cleanliness: Excellent.
View: The hotel's top floor offers panoramic views of Hiroshima city.
Service: Excellent.
Location is great. Close to tram, train and bus stations. Walking distance to Hiroshima castle. Staffs are all friendly and check in checkout is quick. Breakfast has many varieties. Stay here for 3 nights. The automated laundry machine helps a lot.
Overall very satisfied with the hotel, will consider it if come again. Thanks a lot to all hotel staffs.
The Knot was a great place to stay in Central Hiroshima amongst all the tourist attractions. Good service, very clean and comfortable beds.
The only draw back was that we had the impression we were getting a free breakfast but it turned out it was a bit of a trick on the app
I recently stayed at the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima, a charming hotel that shows its age in the building and facilities. However, the friendly staff made a lasting impression with their exceptional hospitality.
Upon arrival, I was greeted with a complimentary welcome drink and snacks, a thoughtful touch that made me feel valued. Despite the vintage vibe, my stay was incredibly comfortable and enjoyable.
If you're looking for a place with character and excellent service, the Oriental Hotel Hiorshima is a great choice. Just be prepared for its charming quirks!
Amazing hotel and I cannot wait to go back.
The view is to die for.
I just wish I had checked in a lot earlier.
The convenience store downstairs sells alcoholic drinks, bento and other snacks at reasonable prices.
The shuttle bus is convenient but does not run that frequently so I recommend you to check it well in advance. I ended up paying around 3500 yen for taxi one way 🤣
Had a great stay in Hiroshima! It's a 5 minute walk from Hiroshima station, which is very convenient if you plan to use the JR pass to take the Shinkansen to other cities. The room was clean and tidy. Except that The TV was on itself at 6am at the first three nights of my stay. The staff was helpful and fixed it. The hotel has coin laundry machines.
This hotel proved to be an excellent choice, primarily due to its prime location and thoughtful amenities. The complimentary bottled water provided in the room was a welcome touch that added to our comfort during the stay. What particularly impressed me was their efficient Express Checkout system. This convenient feature allows guests to simply leave their room cards and depart without the usual front desk procedures – a time-saving solution that I believe should become an industry standard. In our increasingly fast-paced world, such streamlined processes make a significant difference in the overall guest experience. This modern approach to hotel operations clearly demonstrates the property's commitment to guest convenience and satisfaction.
The place is exactly like in the photos. The room was very clean but cramp (usual jap room), need to shift furniture around to open 2 luggages. However, the toilet and shower is very spacious, wet and dry area is separated. Have both bathtub and shower area. Toilet and shower is also very clean, one of the best (for japan hotels) during my trip. Warm water comes quickly and the water pressure in the shower is strong. Hotel is easy to find, and walking distance from the shinkansen (exit beside the shinkansen, away from the direction of the bus interchange). There is 7-11 and lawson right at the hotel entrance. During check in, staff speaks good english and assisted us promptly. Very friendly and approachable. We were able to add breakfast for one day. Breakfast had good variety and the taste is not bad. Mini ramen and cheesecake is delicious. We were able to get additional pillows from the counter. The queen bed is huge and comfortable. Free wifi is very strong. Will stay again
By chance, I was able to use the hotel shortly after it opened.
Perhaps the automatic check-in machine was out of order, so check-in was by a staff member and there was a line.
They also cater to international guests, so it took a while, but there were welcome drinks and plenty of amenities, so it was a comfortable stay.
An excellent stay here at Kyukamura Ohkunoshima! The staff, hotel and island were incredible. I hired the bicycles they have about 4 times to go cruising around the island in the evening and morning. The restaurant also had a buffet for dinner and breakfast which was delicious as well.
I’d 100% stay here again! Hoping to bring my family here next year for a family holiday. Can’t wait to do that

DdbmubsThe overall experience was ok. The path to hotel is a pebbled slope and stoned entrance, it’s gave me sort of a nostalgic feel, but it’s not luggage friendly. But I must say the hotel needs to do something on the ventilation/air circulation in the building. The room I stayed was near to the dining hall so the BBQ & food smell travelled & lingered along my room floor corridor throughout my stay. The onsen is located at the same section as the dining hall, the smell affected there as well.

GGuest UserLocated very close to the main train station. Breakfast spread was very good and staff were extremely helpful and polite. Heating and air-conditioning options were both available during winter.
AandreaI honestly surprised when I got to the hotel and saw the room, amenities, and service they provided. This is one of the best capsule hotels I've ever been to in Japan, and I've stayed in a looootttt of accommodations. the cost to benefit ratio is just unmatched in a pleasant way. I'll stay here again if I visit Hiroshima again. one thing I kinda hate is that the upper bunk stair is too steep. But other than that, all's great! Room offered great privacy, huge TV, clean bathroom, tasty free breakfast. Thank you, Trust Hotel.
