Mitsui Garden Hotel Fukuoka Nakasu is a great choice for travelers looking for convenience and comfort. Its location is excellent, just a 2-minute walk from the subway, making it easy to explore the city. There are also plenty of restaurants and convenience stores nearby, adding to its appeal.
The hotel features self-check-in machines, which made the process quick and hassle-free. The room itself was clean, bright, and comfortable, providing a pleasant stay overall.
However, I did notice one downside—the bathtub was clogged with hair, which was quite unpleasant. Better maintenance in this area would improve the experience.
Despite this issue, the hotel’s prime location, efficiency, and cleanliness make it a solid option for visitors to Fukuoka. I would stay again, but hope for better bathroom upkeep next time!

It was definitely much better than how we expected. The cleanest hotel we stayed during this trip and the most cozy one with the in-room dim lights. You may get all the daily amenities, books, magazines, coffee & tea from the beautiful lobby. Even though the room isn't that spacious, but considered not too bad in Japan. Booking a connecting room for 3 is a good idea. Not noisy at all with its location very close to one of the electric tram stations, nearby to a market place too. Besides, easy to find food and tourist spots with walking distance. I've recommend this hotel to my friends too (:
A conveniently located hotel right next to the JR station. Rooms are clean, plenty of eateries & shopping within the vicinity. The beds are hard which will work for people who prefer harder beds. It’s also a short walk to the Kokura Castle. A great base for people planning to travel to the kitakhyshu region.

We had an enjoyable stay at this hotel, which is in a fantastic location. However, we encountered a significant inconvenience during check-out. Our flight was at 7 AM, so we checked out around 5 AM to catch a taxi to the airport. Unfortunately, both the elevator and the lift were turned off at that time. Since the hotel is located on the second floor of the building, we had to manually carry all our luggage down a long flight of stairs.
This was especially difficult as we were a group of five, including two elderly ladies. Thankfully, my husband was able to manage the luggage, but this situation could have been very challenging for others. We strongly recommend that the hotel ensure the elevator is operational for early-morning check-outs to better accommodate guests.
Nestled near scenic beaches and shrines. Staff were gracious, rooms modern with soothing coastal hues. Highlight: luxurious spa and indoor pool. Gourmet dining and sunset views elevated the stay. Perfect blend of relaxation and exploration—ideal for couples and wellness seekers. A rejuvenating gem!
Location is 30mins drive from fukuoka. 6000yen from Hakata station or Tenjin area. Excellent hotel. The hot spring closes at 11pm and opens in the morning. Hot tub for both men and women looks the same with stone work tub. Stayed for two nights. The breakfast is absolutely amazing and is different every morning delivered straight to room!!! Kudos for the friendly staff and great accommodations
The hotel facilities are less modern but well maintained and clean. It was close to the JR station with walking bridge connection. The receptionist for our check-in process made some mistakes when charging the city tax and did not explain the calculation to us at all. The problem was resolved later during check-out but it took a while to communicate with the staff in English.
I recently stayed at this hotel and had a fantastic experience. The location is unbeatable, just a stone's throw from JR Kokura Station, making it incredibly convenient for travel. The area surrounding the hotel is brimming with food options, including late-night eateries, which is perfect for a midnight snack.
In addition to the food, the hotel is situated near a bustling shopping district and a shopping centre, making it easy to indulge in some retail therapy. There's also another local train station close by, which adds to the convenience.
The room itself was very clean and satisfying, providing a comfortable environment for my stay. The only minor downside was that the toilet was a bit small, but it didn't detract significantly from the overall experience.
Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its prime location, cleanliness, and convenience. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit.

The room is of moderate size with much space to open three person’s luggage. The view at the reception level is marvellous, we can’t stop watching the changes from morning to night. The staffs speaks fluent English and are very friendly. Nice stay! Breakfast is very nice too!
Old style hotel room. It may only have the heating AC available, as we try the high/low button, all came with heat. However, the ocean view is gorgeous, we enjoyed it.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel is conveniently located 15 min away from Hakata Station. It has a nice onsen, and provides many refreshments for free at different times of the day eg ice cream, Yakult and ramen. The breakfast spread is good, and the food is delicious.
Ppei jiawe really enjoyed staying in this hotel, it was very spacious compared to many hotels in Japan. there was laundry service available and a small but adequately sized onsen to relax in.
overnight parking was also reasonable at 1500 and it allowed us multiple reentries. there were many delicious non-touristy restaurants near the hotel. i’d gladly stay here again if coming back to FKK.
PPatrickExcellent location, v good size for Japan hotel, clean and very good staff. You can also control each room temperature individually, not central. Very good price if booked few mths before. Will stay again
GGuest UserI highly recommend staying in Hotel Marinoa Resort with all the sea views and spacious rooms. The staff there will escort you to the room. You may see the sunrise on the balcony and enjoy breakfast there. The room is very clean and with modern design.
KKennyLConvenient and comfortable hotel. Location is excellent with access to 3 train stations within minutes of walking and plenty of malls and convenience stores. Highly recommended for those who are looking for somewhere to stay to explore Fukuoka city!
AAnonymous UserThe room we took was very big for Japan standards! Location is truly amazing! It is near all the shopping malls and the main Hakata Station. Food and restaurants can be found everywhere. There's the famous Ichira at Sun Plaza which is just next to the hotel. It's also within walking distance to several popular shrines and shopping malls. They have a laundry room on our floor. Not sure if available on every floor but we had it on our floor. They are very strict with what you throw away though. I think it's because they are usually the last stop for many travelers and alot of people throw away luggage, clothes etc and it makes it inconvenient for the hotel staff.
