We had a day to kill before our late night flight home, so booked a room and used the hotel facilities. The rooftop pool and jacuzzis are excellent. Decent range of food and drinks you can order up there. Also had a choice of many restaurants on site for our dinner. The room itself was lovely and met our needs in terms of having somewhere to freshen up before the airport. Note that the room has a window but it’s completely frosted, so you get natural light but no visibility. It didn’t bother us but might be an issue if you were staying longer. I don’t like that there’s a huge window between the bedroom and bathroom, esp when staying with a friend.

Good service and nice room. Only problem is pillow is too soft, Aircond is not cool enough even when set at low temperature with high speed and breakfast buffet is a bit sad coz there is no rotation of variety but same food everyday for the 6 nights am there but I must say food is delicious.

I stayed at Cinnamon City Life Hotel and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, the food was delicious, and the view was amazing. Everything about the stay was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting the city.

First of all, the breakfast was very good. There were all kinds of local food that I have never seen before. Secondly, the male checkin receptionist wearing glasses was very friendly! He tried to introduce many local spots and helped handle the noise issue caused by the people next to my room. However, the female receptionist was not really helpful and quite stubborn. That male staff said I could enjoy an extended checkout due to my midnight flight during checkin, but the female receptionist said no to me later. After I explained what that male staff promised to me, she only gave me a two-hour extended checkout. The point is what all the staff say to guests should be consistent.

I recently stayed at The Kingsbury Colombo from April 2 to April 8, 2025, and I must say — every moment of my 7-day, 6-night stay was nothing short of exceptional. As a local living overseas, I was truly impressed by the world-class hospitality I experienced here. Their warm attitude and impeccable service went far beyond my expectations, making me feel welcomed and valued throughout my stay. Special thanks also to the housekeeping staff, who maintained my room perfectly. They were polite, efficient, and ensured that everything was clean and comfortable every day. One unforgettable highlight was the in-room dining experience. I ordered the black pork curry with pol roti — and it was simply divine! Without exaggeration, it was one of the best meals I’ve ever had, full of authentic Sri Lankan flavor and prepared to perfection. Overall, The Kingsbury Colombo exceeded all my expectations. The hotel is super clean, secure, and the staff make a genuine effort to create an exceptional experience for every guest. Whether you’re a local or a foreign traveler, I highly recommend staying here at least once — you’ll truly understand the meaning of top-tier hospitality. Looking forward to spending my next vacation with them again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Heritence and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from start to finish. The welcome we received upon arrival was unparalleled compared to any other hotel I've stayed at. The staff greeted us warmly and went out of their way to ensure we felt at home immediately. The service at the pool bar was outstanding. The bartenders were attentive, friendly, and made excellent cocktails. The pool itself was pristine and provided a relaxing atmosphere with plenty of comfortable seating and beautiful surroundings. To our delight, we were offered a complimentary room upgrade, which made our stay even more enjoyable. The upgraded room was spacious, impeccably clean, and offered stunning views. Throughout our stay, we encountered staff who were not only polite but also highly professional. They were always ready to assist with any request and did so with a smile, making us feel truly valued as guests. The location of the hotel is another highlight. It's conveniently close to the airport, making our arrival and departure hassle-free. Additionally, it's situated near a beautiful beach, allowing us to enjoy the sun and sea within minutes of leaving our room. Overall, our experience at Heritance was nothing short of perfect. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable and luxurious stay. We will certainly be returning in the future!

I thoroughly enjoyed the stay with all the good facilities. Very central in Colombo and had access to all the good malls and restaurants easily.

Nice hotel, rooms are clean and spacious. Service on the resort is great. Resort has 3 swimming pools and beachfront. However, the beach was not clean, was a lot of garbage on the beach. Maybe due to a season, we couldn’t swim in the ocean. Overall our stay was pleasant. The main restaurant had strong understanding of dietary restrictions and was able to provide us gluten free meals, including gluten free bread.

This is more a resort then a normal hotel. with good facilities . Even though it is more then 20 years old it is still o'kay and is currently being updated and renovated. Back when it first opened ,it was probably the best resort in all of Sri Lanka!! Quiet location ,a bit out of town ,but easy to get a Tuk Tuk to get around. it is about 2 hours by bus from Colombo ,or probably quicker by train ........ but not as much fun! Staff where freindly and helpful if needed.

I had a pleasant stay at Cinnamon Bay Beruwala. The positive aspects include excellent service, starting from the warm welcome with a towel and juice at check-in, continuing throughout our stay until check-out. All the staff were friendly, kids activity center is a plus and the surroundings were very spacious and pleasant. The rooms were good, and I would definitely recommend their service, giving it a double thumbs up. On the downside, the reading light was broken, there were no bathroom slippers or robes, and the shampoo, lotion, and conditioner bottles were made of ceramic. If these ceramic bottles break, they could cause injury. I suggest that the hotel switch to safer materials for these items. Overall, I would rate our stay 3.8 out of 5. We really enjoyed our time there. If you're looking for excellent service in Beruwala, don't hesitate to book this hotel.
