This is our third year celebrating Chinese New Year at the Sheraton Guan. Overall, it's pretty good; the room and dining services are excellent. Just a heads-up for anyone visiting in winter: avoid rooms facing south. They get incredibly hot. The hotel's central AC only blows hot air, and with the direct sunlight, the room becomes unbearable for sleeping. To make matters worse, the windows only open a tiny crack – it was truly a struggle!

The transportation is very convenient. If you don't want to drive, you can take the high-speed train. The hotel offers a free shuttle service from Taizicheng High-Speed Rail Station, which takes only 10 minutes to reach the hotel, super convenient! The hotel staff are very friendly, always smiling, and very welcoming. Bottled drinking water is provided in unlimited quantities, and the room is very clean. There's also a small balcony where adults can enjoy a drink and the scenery, which is very pleasant.

The views are fantastic! On the day of departure, the front desk even sent a text message with directions for driving there, which was incredibly thoughtful and considerate. It took about two hours to drive from Beijing to the hotel. We pre-registered our car and were able to park it in the parking lot. They even have fast-charging stations. We also pre-booked the public hot spring and enjoyed the Eye Stone hot spring. The breakfast quality was also excellent. I highly recommend coming here for the experience!

The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft, ensuring a very comfortable sleep. The front desk service was warm and attentive. The location is convenient, offering excellent value for money. My stay was perfect! The hygiene was impeccable, facilities were complete and in good working order, and the environment was quiet and peaceful. The service was thoughtful and I highly recommend it! The staff were gentle and accommodating. Fantastic value, definitely worth staying.

An older hotel, but the facilities are still complete and the room was pretty clean. You can't expect too much from an old hotel. It's best to take a Didi (ride-hailing service) from the station; don't just jump into a shared ride, you might get ripped off. It's just outside the city wall, and I personally think staying here is more comfortable than inside the wall. Among the performances, only the iron flower show is worth seeing, but you absolutely need to get there early to secure a good spot, otherwise, you won't be able to watch. The commercial streets are all pretty much the same!

Environment: The room's balcony faces the Thaiwoo ski slopes, and waking up to that view every day is incredibly therapeutic. The hotel is only a 2-3 minute walk from the ski rental hall, which is quite convenient for ski enthusiasts. However, it would be even better if there was an internal passage leading directly there. Cleanliness: This is a pet-friendly hotel, yet the cleanliness was still excellent. There were no strange odors, and everything was spotless, with the exception of slightly low water pressure in the shower. Service: The service was exceptional. The front desk staff were always accommodating and went above and beyond to help with any requests. When checking in, guests receive complimentary movie or hot spring tickets, and the front desk is happy to assist with reservations. Facilities: The hotel has a few on-site restaurants, which are perfect if the weather is too cold to venture out – they meet all basic needs. Personally, I think it would be even more convenient if the hotel had its own hot springs or more public facilities in the lobby.

During the past few days in Zhangjiakou, the most unforgettable thing is not the passion of the track, but the emotion brought by the front desk. My family sent a box of sports drinks before I left. I made sure to make sure it was delivered on the day of the game. The result was that I, a road ******, filled in the wrong district address. The courier was sorting from the south of the city to a novice post office in the north of the city. Just after the race ended at 4 p.m., the logistics information showed that ”the post office is already at the post office,” but we had to leave for the next city at 5 p.m, and looked at the postoffice address 10 kilometers away on the map, stamping our feet in a hurry. When she heard this, Ms. Park comforted me by saying, ”Don't worry, I'll find a way,” grabbing the keys to her electric car and running out. She returned 20 minutes later, sweating and panting, saying, ”The sorting officers had the wrong zoning area. I went halfway through the warehouse with them to find it!” She thought she could get it now, but she frowned again and said, ”The box is too big to fit in the electric car basket. I'm afraid it will be broken on the road. I'll run around and pack it in the trunk again!” Before I could react, she turned and rushed down the stairs again - the second time she saw her, she had a sweat scarf on her arm, With her hands tightly wrapped around the trunk, even her work shirt was soaked with sweat, but she smiled and said, ”I just borrowed a shock absorber from the post office, and none of the drinks damaged.” When she tore open the packaging, she also purposely put a note on the trunk: ”Remember to replenish electrolytes after the game!” At that moment, I suddenly felt that although the wind of Zhangjiakou was cool with the grassland, but the box of drinks and the smile of my little sister, the trophy of the race course was more heart-warming. When I met such a service in a strange city, I really wanted to share the warmth with everyone! She not only helped us to get the express, but also let me feel the ”heart for heart” service temperature. Next time I come to Zhangjiakou, I will definitely choose this hotel full of human touch.

Bad check in service at front counter lady. Seems more occupied with her task than guest service. I have to call and request for our sofa bed to be open. Given we book and indicated a family of 4, unlike other hotels whom immediately arrange all additional required items such as toothbrushs, slippers, towels, water, etc. Here I have to call to request for each items. The wifi doesn't work. I have to physically bring my laptop to the front desk for assistance.. and even that was not able to connect. Breakfast, average as the food are abit hard - hard noodles, hotdogs, breads.. Only cons is location near to ski and restaurants but so are a few hotels nearby. Free scheduled public bus shuttle to/fro train station, have to walk about 7 mins to the bus stop. As a Hyatt member, this is the worse Hyatt Place hotels I stayed. I believe surrounding hotels will have better guest services and competitive price too.

The location is good on the first line from the sea. The whole resort is divided into several hotels, and it was a surprise for us. This hotel building is right side if you facing the sea. We booked a room with a sea view, but its main part was a pool roof. The pool, which you can visit for free while staying in this hotel, is too small, shallow, and overcrowded by kids from the city. The room is small. The bedding was clean, and all amenities were OK. Breakfast in the other building is not too bad, but it is necessary to come early because dishes are not addressed. The price of the proposed room and service is too high.

The sea view experience is exactly what you’d hope for. Every room comes with a large viewing balcony , and the east-facing orientation means unobstructed sunrise views. Waking up, pulling back the curtains, and watching the sun paint the Bohai Sea pink while still in bed? Pure magic. At night, the sound of waves becomes a natural lullaby—total relaxation. The hotel’s little perks add up too. They offer free bicycle rentals, which let me cruise along the coastline and soak in the sea breeze . Pet owners will love that it’s pet-friendly, so you don’t have to leave your furry friend behind. There’s also free private parking , a big plus if you’re driving. The Chinese-style buffet breakfast (served 7:00-10:00 ) hits the spot, and kids under 1.2m eat free—great for families. The only minor downside is the decor, which feels a bit outdated , but it’s easily overlooked for the value. The rooms are clean, with essential amenities like cable TV, showers, slippers, and toiletries , so comfort isn’t compromised. For a 100+ yuan price point , Giranchy Sea View Hotel delivers far more than expected. If you’re after convenience, stunning sunrises, and a laid-back coastal vibe in Qinhuangdao, this is a no-brainer. I’d absolutely book again!
