1 night 2 day, to go to Sakata fireworks festival I used 3 rooms for 6 families. I was saved by changing the check-in time zone for this convenience. I didn't tell you that there was an elderly person, so it was a room that went up the steep stairs, so I learned that if I told you at the time of booking from the next time, I might be given a little preferential treatment. Although it is a very old building, the exterior has been renovated and the inside has been cleaned cleanly. The corridor was shiny even if I walked barefoot. I didn't use it because brown water came out of the water supply in the bathroom in the room. I think it is better to bring earplugs when sleeping because I can hear the voice and snoring of the next guest. There is no toilet in the room. There was one bath for men and women, and it was a bath with a slightly larger bathtub and 3 showers for women. About 4 people entered at the same time. It was available until 12 o'clock at night. I could use it around 6 o'clock in the morning. Breakfast was a dish that made the nutritionally balanced body happy, mainly vegetables, and it was very delicious. I was really happy with such a meal because eating out is the main thing during the trip. After all, the rice is delicious! It was Tsuya hime that day. It was a fluttering stay, but the host was very kind and kind. thank you for your help.

We arrived in a few minutes from Yamagata Station. It is cheap though access is outstanding. It is convenient. The deadline for breakfast is 880 yen until 8 o'clock the night before. Breakfast is from 7:00 to 8:00 in the morning, the same 3 floor as the receptionist. The front desk is kind. After the stay, I received an email through the reservation site. I felt the business effort.

I visited with my children on weekdays in June. On that day, we were able to use it very freely because we were the only customers. The impression is that the building is carefully and beautifully used. The restroom was not in the room and was shared, but it was clean and there was no particular stress. (Because there were no other customers) The landlady was kind and talked to the children many times, so it was comfortable even with children. I was able to eat well from the morning, and he told me, ”There are many twin cherries this year 🍒.” I saw twin cherries for the first time, but they were delicious 😋 I arrived at the Shinkansen late at night and was scheduled to leave at 9 o'clock in the morning, so the location was convenient and helpful.

Spacious for me. Although a bit old it good conditions. Only issue is thar the aircon it either on or off and it pretty warm so for late autumn and winter it is alright. Breakfast is either Japanese or western and the lounge is cosy. The carpark is a multi storey carpark west of the hotel so to drive past the building and anticlockwise. Good deal when I book it for 1 night. There a family mart right below.

I stayed here on a tour of the Shonai region. It was a cheap tour, so I didn't have high expectations, but I was surprised by this inn. The approach from the gate at the entrance is decorated with the ”Pine Festival Pull Rope” of Mt. Haguro. The interior of the spacious lobby is also wonderful, and there is a welcome drink counter. There is a shop in front of the front desk, but it is not a typical souvenir shop, but a select shop that also sells traditional crafts from around Yamagata. At the back of the first floor, there is a storehouse-like store where you can drink local sake. The guest room, which can be reached by elevator, is quite spacious with tatami flooring and two large beds. Behind that is a wooden floor with a sofa. The floor is heated, so it is comfortable to lie down. The large window overlooks the Sea of Japan. The meal was a kaiseki meal as part of the tour, but the delicious food made with locally produced ingredients, which showed the chef's good taste, was served in abundance. Breakfast was the same as the other guests in another large hall, but it was an elaborate set meal like a Shokado bento. It was delicious food that looked good on social media. The hot spring was also wonderful, and the large communal bath had a large tub, a cypress bath, and an open-air bath. The next morning, when I went to the beach, I could see Mt. Chokai to the north. The hotel staff were also very considerate, and at dinner time they prepared ice for the remaining bottles of shochu so that we could drink it in our room. It felt like I had stayed at a good inn for the first time in a while.

The proprietor is the loveliest lady you'll ever meet, and the location is walkable from the Tsuruoka station. There's just a stale scent in the corridors even though the windows are open for ventilation

The minor problem is that the door lock is very difficult to be unlocked. There is instruction to turn counter clockwise but it looks like sometimes work sometimes don’t work. Otherwise excellent.
Murayama Nishiguchi Hotel

It's right in front of the station. There are supermarkets, convenience stores, Mac, Daiso, rental cars, etc. within walking distance, making it convenient for business and sightseeing. The building is new and clean. This time I had a twin room, but the room was normal and didn't feel oppressive. However, there is no closet and it is difficult to store clothes for two people in the 15cm gap at the entrance. I wonder what I would do if I had a winter coat. The wall is empty but there are no hooks, I wish I had one. The bathhouse is on the 1st floor, but there is only one elevator, so I share the ride with business people and people who are checking in after taking a bath.

The hotel is located near one of the gondalas boats and if you want to start or finish one of your days at another elevator, they will give you the elevator. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They organize ticket discounts for us and the recommended restaurants. We are hoping to come back.
