2-Star Hotels in Gunma Prefecture, Japan

A very local hotel popular among the local business travellers. I was there to explore Gunma mountains and this is one of the best western style hotel I can find that is close to train station. I do have to say the hotel is very old but everything still good for me. The single room is small but it has everything I need. Their 8 floor dining area for breakfast was so awesome as you have a wide view of the town and mountains around it. Breakfast is acceptable and I don’t have any complaints about it. What I like a lot is that they also provide free curry rice every weekdays excerpt weekend and public holiday. Although the curry rice is very simple without any meat, but it was so comforting to eat it. There’s also an onsen that you can use it, and a common room with comics, massage chairs and old school computer to use.

I use it every time because the cospa is good. It's a pity that there are only men in the public bath, but the unit bath in the room has been renovated, so it's easier to spend than before. Saizeriya, Komeda cherry blossoms and Matsuya are nearby, and they walk a little, but there are other colors 々.

The parking lot and Wi-Fi are also well attached, and this price is exactly a break. Takasaki has no image of a tourist destination, but it was good to find a place to play nearby. And there is no kayseki dinner. In the room you’ll have matcha tea and beautiful tableware, traditional clothes. For breakfast you should choose time 7:30 or 8:30 and it’s so big (2 photo), but for me was very salty. There is two onsen - outside and inside on different floors.

I went to the SEN private baths at Kusatsu Onsen this time♪ There are three types of baths: Hinoki (Japanese cypress) bath Rock bath Ceramic bath Each bath has its own unique atmosphere, and I highly recommend them! When I went, there was snow, which made the baths feel even more magical!

5/2 I stayed in room 201, which was about 10 tatami mats and had 4 bunk beds. It was 4,200 yen per person + 200 yen for heating + 200 yen for sheets = 4,600 yen. Due to the influence of the coronavirus, there was no bath but only a shower. (It's a hot spring, so if you can't take a bath, you should let them know in advance.) The heating in the lobby was turned off even though I had set aside the heating fee, and when I went into the room and turned on the heating, it wouldn't turn on, probably because it was broken. The cafeteria was occupied by students in the group and I was unable to use it. Therefore, even though I came to the hot springs, I couldn't use the hot springs, and I kept saving money for heating, and even though it was snowing outside, there was no heating, and I couldn't eat freely. It was a crappy hotel that was a rip-off.

We had to set up the bed ourselves. Room was dusty and was freezing cold even tho there was heater from the air con on winter’s night. There’s instructions to learn how to kill the stink bugs. The hotel facilities are good but the overall experience wasn’t good.
