There was heavy rain and road blockage, what a shame, we did not get to stay and enjoy the facilities there. The hotel personnels were very nice to assist us on cancellation. We will definitely stay there if we have a chance to go to Yufuin!
The room is sooo tiny. I'm a petite woman but I still feel it's too small for one person. If you don't smoke don't forget book the smoking free room type. I didn't notice that when I booked online and I'm glad they changed for me though. Japanese breakfast and free breakfast is the plus. And the location is awesome. It takes 5mins to walk to Ohori park. All is said and done, if you have limited budget to find a good hotel with good amenities, you can book this one.
The hotel is in a good location, a seven-minute walk from Tenjin Underground City. The accommodation environment is also very quiet. The facilities in the house are complete, including washing machine, refrigerator and kettle. The only drawback is that the area is too small. It is a bit crowded for a family of three, but it is not bad for two people. The bed is 1.5 meters. Go through Yang Guofu's alley and you will reach Tenjin Station.
A traditional ryokan in a good location close to many restaurants. It is an older establishment but was still very comfortable. The owner is very friendly and helpful and made our stay enjoyable. She made a beautiful breakfast for us which included smoked eel which is traditional for the area. We would stay again if we visited Yanagawa again.
This is a very unique homestay. There is a large tatami room. It feels like 20 people can live. There is a tatami public room, a public kitchen, fine and clean, induction cooker, oven, microwave, refrigerator, various tableware, awesome, the 3rd floor is handmade. The staff are very friendly. The display of books and picture books is also sold. What needs to be improved is: the room I booked has two single beds, the bed is too narrow, neither side is against the wall, I am always afraid of falling off at night, the bathroom space on the 2nd floor is small, the bathroom on the 1st floor is very good, and the bathroom is oversized. If you have the opportunity to go to Mensi Port again, you will still choose this homestay. There is also the need to be patient in finding a homestay, the signboard is too small.
Very very good hotel! ! !
The hotel is a bed and breakfast style hotel with front desk staff to provide assistance every afternoon and evening. Luggage storage is available before check-in and after check-out. We went to an all-night KTV the day after check-out and did not book a room. The service staff was willing to help store our luggage until the next day. It really helped us a lot. Thank you very much! 💛
The room is very clean and well-equipped. There are cooking stoves, washing machines, and daily supplies. The hotel provides makeup removal and skin care sets and laundry detergent. Towels and bathrobes can be replaced every day. The best thing is that the bed is very soft and comfortable. Sleeping on the bed feels like being wrapped in a mattress, allowing the body to rest well. Unfortunately, I forgot to ask the service staff the brand of the mattress. I really hope to buy it back home.
The front desk staff and cleaning staff are very friendly. The hotel is in a good location, close to the fish market and shopping street. There are also very cheap business supermarkets and 24-hour supermarkets and convenience stores nearby. There are many restaurants and convenient transportation.
The overall feeling is really great. I will definitely stay here again next time I come to Fukuoka. Thank you for your hospitality😊

I came to Fukuoka to see the cherry blossoms and chose this hotel. The experience during the stay was very good. When I came at night, the front desk was a kind-looking elder who explained the check-in rules to me in English. During the day, there were basically younger front desk staff, all of whom were very polite.
The room was opened with a key. I was used to using the room card, so it felt quite retro at first glance. The room was OK, not much different from the hotels I stayed in Japan in the past. At this price, it was very cost-effective. When I came, the weather was still a little cold. The heater could be turned on in the morning, and there was also a humidifier. You need to get toothbrushes, toothpaste, combs, razors, etc. at the front desk. There are towels in the room, one large and one small, which will be changed every day, enough for one person. If you want to add towels, you need to pay again, unlike in China where you can ask for them at will.
Every time you go out, you need to hand the key to the front desk staff, and when you come back, you will be given the key again if you state your room number. There is someone at the front desk 24 hours a day, so you don’t have to worry about not being able to enter the room (laugh)
Breakfast is a buffet, there are not many dishes to choose from, but it will be a little different every day. In the mornings I was there, the main cooked food was fried pork chops (first day), tempura (second day), fried fish (different types of fish every day, and boneless), scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, etc. Others included fruits, salads, bread, udon noodles, a kind of tofu that felt like tofu pudding, etc. Drinks were various coffee drinks made by a coffee machine, including latte, espresso, hot chocolate, cappuccino, etc., as well as milk and juice. If you want a rich breakfast with many choices, it may not be suitable, but for me who just wants to deal with a few bites and mainly wants to go out and play quickly, it is still okay.
It was a pleasant stay. Warmest welcome by the Front Manager whom I can’t remember how to spell his name. He was very slim and extremely polite. Soft spoken. Very Professional gentleman. Impeccable service. He actually cares about my medical condition.
Bless his kindness.
Breakfast was clean and delicious The room is a little small, so it's uncomfortable to move. It's great for sleeping. Parking is a little walk away. The good thing is free.
OOng Sio TeenIs my first time booked capsule accommodation, good experience only light sleeper need to think twice while stay very much is self service, it was clean, hygiene, well amities provided, you just need pull your luggage & stay in!
First Accommodation location is at a extremely hood location, surrounding few convenient shops (Lawson, 7-11 etc… ) is only less than 3 min walk from Hakata station, super convenient! One more add point, surrounding 2-10min to a few online recommended restaurants!

GGuest UserBreakfast is ordinary, just a simple mini salty pie and a drink. It can even be said that there is no need to exist; there is no need to purchase additional items. There are some conveniences and some inconveniences in getting to the public bathroom on the first floor, but the location and environment are really impeccable.
XXieyinghuaThis hotel is really based on an old house, so it has the flavor of Japan in the last century, especially the bathhouse, which is exactly like what it looks like in the cartoon. I think it is worth experiencing it if you go to Fukuoka!
In addition, the situation of the boss is as other people have commented. They are an old gentleman and an old lady. They should have been doctors in the past. However, since I can speak simple Japanese, we are interchangeable, but I think they can. The one who speaks English used to be a doctor after all.
And the old gentleman is actually a bit nagging. He likes to take me to each device to see how to use it. He feels like the kind of old father we usually have at home. He is full of intimacy, so it is very pleasant to talk to him.
However, it seems that his memory is not very good. Sometimes when he comes in and out, he will forget that you are a tenant and will ask you which room.
Overall, it is an interesting and unique hotel.

GGuest UserBeautiful ryokan. Authentic, relaxed and well-kept. Beautiful garden, located directly on a canal. A stone's throw from a quiet and beautiful shrine and the jetty for the traditional boats. The landlady speaks a little English and is very helpful. We had a large room on the top floor with a view of the canal. Everything is new, large and comfortable. For one or two nights a perfect place for a traditional Japanese overnight stay including Japanese breakfast. Great value for money. A great place off the beaten track. We would come again. Jjollyhau>Usually im quite picky about the restroom, but i have to say its really tidy here cause they clean the hostel everyday💯
>bed space doesn’t feel stuffy or musty at all! The sound proof is better than i thought, comparing with other hostel i have lived. You wont hear squeaky sound when others getting off from the upper bunk (impressed)
> was worrying if its too far away from the station, but the bus station to hakata is actually 3 minutes walk only, and they come very often. convenient!
Conclusion: comfy and nothing to complain!
