Excellent location, 5-10min walk from the train station. Near to both Coop and Migros. Room was cosy and clean but mattress/bed will need upgrading. It's too soft and will sink in when sleep on.
Check in counter is in another hotel a few steps away. Will be great if guests can be informed prior.
There's a small lift in the hotel, good for those with heavy luggages!
In addition to the location is really difficult to reach, everything else is 100 points
The service is very good, very kind, the room is very neat and clean and dry and wet separation
It takes more than 10 minutes to walk to the nearest restaurants and supermarkets, and there will be a large slope from the station. It is not recommended for people with large suitcases.
This hostel is far away from the station. This is compensated by its great view of the Matterhorn. It is a trade-off worth taking. Nice and comfortable room, good breakfast.
The experience is good, the room is clean and new. There is a coffee machine, which is free of charge for the people living. Hot water also provided 24/7. The location is a bit far comparing with the other hotel, and it is close to the river, it is a bit noise in the summer time as the heavy flow of the river. But I will still recommend it to my friend if they want a budget choice in Zermatt.
I used to stay at a domestic youth hostel for more than 400 nights as a hostel, but the hotel I stayed at this time was an accommodation for Swiss youth hostel association members.
In principle, it is self-service, but I did not feel particularly dissatisfied, and it was evaluated as wonderful among the facilities I have stayed so far as the above evaluation.
This time, I didn't use the swimming pool, wellness, sauna, etc. for convenience, but I was able to spend a fun 2 days.

GGuest user123Initially I was a bit apprehensive about this hotel based on reviews but it was a good stay!! Great value for Zermatt! Walking distance about 10 mins from Zermatt station, on shopping street. Toilets and stairway up a bit small but ok for us. Luckily we were located on first floor so didn’t have to climb up too many stairs with our luggage. There’s a pizzeria below. Things to note: didn’t see a bin ( only a small one in toilet) so maybe bring your own plastic bag for a bin as well as room slippers.
Place was clean! However there’s some loud music that played even in the wee hours of the night like 3am, so if you are a light sleeper, you might need to put on some ear plugs to muffle the noise out. Nonetheless, A huge thank you for the stay. Convenient, Breakfast was awesome, simple spread but very heartwarming and the coffee was the most delicious I’ve had. It was the Easter weekend so there’s pretty Easter eggs for breakfast too! The lady owner was lovely and check in and check out was very easy and seamless. We stayed for a night and would recommend this place.

TthomastheophilusThe room is small and cozy for two people but if there are three people then there is hardly any space to move around after unfolding the sofa bed. So, it’s okay if you plan to stay for 2 nights.
It was interesting that they offered free beverage coupons if you don’t avail housekeeping services.
The receptionist in the evening was very cheerful and jolly for a good conversation to hear about local news.
Pplanet earthHotel manager service is very good. Breakfast is also very good, the service location that does not provide lunch or dinner is also convenient, there is an underground parking garage.
