Review of Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika) I had a wonderful stay at Luang Prabang Village Hotel (Villa Wanika). The staff were extremely helpful and made my visit comfortable and enjoyable. I stayed in Room C3 downstairs, which was quiet, cool, and spacious. The room had everything I needed—a comfortable bed, fridge, coat hangers, and a nice shower with good-quality toiletries. The breakfast was modest but satisfying, with croissants, fresh fruit, tea, and coffee—a simple but pleasant way to start the day. The location was perfect—close to the Mekong River, Night Market, and Mount Phousi. It was also conveniently situated for watching the morning alms-giving procession, a beautiful cultural experience. Overall, I highly recommend this hotel for its great service, comfortable rooms, and excellent location. A lovely place to stay in Luang Prabang!

Based on google map, the lane to this hotel is wrong. So i had to walk a bit after my taxi dropped me off at the wrong location. The staff at reception, Wan and Lo (sorry for wrong spelling) are absolutely wonderful. Pleasant and polite especially the male staff. Room was spacious, clean, comfortable and bathroom huge with beautiful floor tiles. The only negative experience i had was at breakfast, when i asked a female staff which food had meat - i only take Halal or vegetarian food - and was told the spring rolls were vegetarian. When i bit into it, there was meat inside!! That was extremely upsetting for me!! Suggestion- place labels at the serving dish to indicate vegetarian dishes or otherwise. There are many Europeans who are vegetarians too so it will be useful to have such labels. Rooms should have a chair in it for those who want to do work at the tv counter.

I had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The rooms are spacious, clean, and very comfortable, providing a perfect retreat after a long day. The location is really good. The facilities are impressive and well-maintained, making everything convenient and enjoyable. Breakfast was delicious with a good variety, and the staff were genuinely friendly and attentive, making me feel very welcome. Additionally, the laundry service was efficient and reliable. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant stay. I will definitely be returning!

Overall a nice little guest house. You are greeted at the reception. You can also rent a scooter from them inexpensively. Here you can also buy tickets for a boat cruise on the Mekong River from the reception. And also buy tickets to go to the caves and see something. It is also possible to buy tickets to see the elephants. You can also book train tickets from them, as well as bus tickets. And other services - they will do everything for you. It is located next to a delicious restaurant: ”Khaiphaen”. Ask at reception where it is. They will tell you everything about Luang Probang.

Hopefully can get a Refund as the booking didnt go thru and i cancel and book directly with hotel- so far, amenities, room size and cleanliness is top notch - tq

Really great concept for a short stay. The bathrooms are quite rustic but everything was comfortable and functional. Kind welcome and very well located

Very new hotel, very clean and comfortable, the bath water is large, and the breakfast is rich. Out of the room is the swimming pool, the children have a super fun! The hotel owner is a pair of Vietnamese brothers and sisters, they are very capable and friendly. The hotel was well managed. I originally planned to stay for 2 nights and change to a star hotel. The result was too satisfied and stayed for 3 more nights. I stayed for 5 nights. The surrounding area is also very convenient. It is a 3-minute walk from the massage shop cafe supermarket fruit stall chartered car point. There is a cash machine opposite the intersection. recommend!

A very nice location for walking anywhere in the old city with lots of shops and restaurants very near. The room is very large with a ceiling fan and strong ac. The small refrigerator was also nice. Didn’t try the ancient tv but the WiFi was good. As some others have mentioned the outside noise like animals and people sounds come into the room but it didn’t disturb my sleep. The staff were friendly and helpful and the breakfast views are amazing. The food was a small buffet that changed one of the main dishes every day so you won’t get too bored. A very nice choice and a great value. I would definitely stay again next time.
