3-Star Hotels in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan

Decent hotel that is most advantageous for it's location - it is immediately next to the train station and bus station, providing great convenience for any trip in the area. It is near to many restaurants, cafes, a mall, and the Fuji World Heritage Center which is a very well thought-out museum. A few problems concern cleanliness and it's amenities. We found a few bugs across the hotel and the bathroom sometimes produced an odor (not of our own making, mind you). The amenities are mostly in good working order but are are limited in some annoying ways. Food quality and variety in the breakfast could be a little better - no coffee is available even though there is a coffee machine for instance. Laundry machines are only available when the baths are open for a few hours in the morning and evening. One other issue concerns the notion that although the hotel has stated on signs that they would be unable to access our room without the key, they were able to do so anyway when we requested to change the bedding with the bug in it. This left us a little perplexed. Otherwise, other aspects of the hotel were up to snuff. Friendly staff. Efficient service. Willing to store luggage. The welcome drink (pour your own alcoholic drink) was a nice touch.

About 10 minutes walk fro Shizuoka station. Staff were generally friendly, but were not very adept at speaking English, which could lead to difficulties checking in. Also be sure to book the room EXACTLY for how many guests will be staying, as they will not provide extra amenities for extra guests. Otherwise, pretty nice hotel with nice hot spring (large hot pool, cold pool, sauna and outdoor area with hot spring to cool off). Ample washing machines and dryers for dirty clothes as well. Mostly local Japanese tourists as well so the amenities are relatively clean and people are nice and civilized. Complimentary breakfast buffet and curry rice at night are plus points as well.

Awesome ! One of our best stay in this trip. There is an onsen to relax after a long day walking, free drinks & hot soup after 3pm at the restaurant. The front desk staffs speak Japanese, English & Mandarin, we were well-briefed on the hotel information and even received an invite to show us the hotel facilities. Highly recommend to stay here even if it is slightly further walk from Shizuoka station.

It is what you can expect from a Dormy Inn : lots of freebies, a comfortable room and a bathhouse area with the bonus point of having a good Mount Fuji view especially if you get the rooms facing the right side. The hotel's clearly geared for people who drive, there is two main carpark areas but it can get filled up quite quickly during peak holiday periods. The breakfast was sumptuous and excellent as expected from a Dormy Inn. There is a nice late night soba service and popsicles in the evening. Location wise, it is only a short drive away from the Gotemba Premium Outlets and some local sights. It is located next to Chichibunomiya Memorial Park with a former villa. The hotel is also pretty new.

It’s a nice budget hotel near Shin-Fuji Station, and overall, it was a pleasant experience for me. The hotel is very close to the trains, yet surprisingly quiet. It’s small but very clean, with everything necessary provided in the room. Though the room isn’t spacious, it is cozy, and I enjoyed a nice view of Mount Fuji from my window, even if the grids on the window made it tricky to capture good photos. The breakfast is simple but adequate to start your day, and I noticed the menu changes daily (I stayed for two nights and had different options each morning). The staff, while not fluent in English, were incredibly kind and helpful. They really made my stay more comfortable. The hotel provides a few shuttle buses to the nearby train station, which was very convenient. They also offer free shuttles to Fujikawaguchiko, but only on national holidays and weekends, so I didn’t get the chance to try that. If you’re heading to the Shin-Fuji Station, there’s a tourist center with English-speaking staff who are very helpful. You can even rent bicycles there to explore the area and enjoy stunning views of Mount Fuji. For the price, it’s a great option, especially if you’re on a budget and looking for a quiet, clean place to stay with some handy amenities.

This was my second stay at Yokikan, and it was just as good as the first. Even though it was a busy time, everything was smooth. The main outdoor bath is great — really nice view, and it wasn’t crowded at all. The building isn’t new, but it’s very comfortable and well taken care of. It has that special feel, which I like. Dinner was solid as well — good variety of fresh fish, everything looked and tasted great. Most of the staff don’t speak much English, but it wasn’t a problem. I was able to communicate just fine, and they were all friendly and helpful. One of those spots I’d definitely come back again.

This relaxation hotel is a 15min walk from Gotemba Station. You can see the view of Mt Fuji from their observation deck. The room is spacious, and has all the amenities. They also have a public bath perfect for the winter. They serve soba every night, and breakfast is also good. Overall, very nice stay!

Front desk were very helpful especially with late night exit and reentry for a Taisekji. The housekeeping was excellent and I felt well cared for. All the staff are super friendly and helpful. Definitely will stay there again.

This hotel completely refreshed my expectations for travel accommodation! ** From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I felt the warmth of home - the front desk lady smiled kindly, checked in in three minutes, and upgraded the high-rise view room! The room design is simple and stylish, with floor-to-ceiling windows facing the city skyline. When night falls, soaking in the bathtub and watching the bright lights is simply a movie-level enjoyment! The bedding is as soft as clouds, and I feel refreshed after a deep night's sleep.

Location is far from station, but close to the highway and has free parking. There's only one fast food restaurant near by (Yoshinoya) and no supermarket. Not much facilities apart from a very small onsen. No cream or lotion is provided at the onsen. No coffee or tea machine available at the lobby. The free breakfast is sufficient and way better than expected. It's a pity that none of the rooms face the Mt Fuji although it is sooo near. You can only view the mountain from the carpark or the backstairs. Apart from these, the beds were comfy and soft. We are also glad that for our Triple Room, the toilet is separated from the main bathroom.

You can stay for a day! The walk to the centre and train station is about 10 minutes, which can be a bit of a chore if you are carrying heavy luggage! Friendly front desk service! Since the price is low, there are no facilities! If you drive yourself, you need to take pictures of the nearby cooperative public parking lots!

I can see Mt Fuji from my room but the sound insulation is very bad can hear the train running clearly even with the windows closed . Location is great as it’s near to JR station and fish market Room is tiny though, squeeze for 2 Pax

The location is good. The station is just opposite. There are buses that go directly to Shizuoka Airport. It is also convenient for shopping and eating nearby. There is a convenience store downstairs and a microwave in the lobby. They can also help with luggage storage after check-out. I really recommend it

Very close to Shizuoka Station. Just two streets away, you can take Shizuoka Station to the airport, Nagoya, Kawaguchiko, Japan, etc. There are buses everywhere. The room is much bigger than the previous Japanese rooms. The cleaning staff cleaned it very cleanly. I happened to meet the cleaning uncle when I left the hotel. I bowed 90 degrees. I will stay here again next time

A great hotel with a large public bath near the station and breakfast. I don't eat breakfast and only drink coffee, but the breakfast is so delicious. Is this what Japanese home cooking tastes like? Miso soup is my style. The small croissants are so delicious. Eat three! Since I was traveling with my mother, I chose a hotel near the station or bus terminal. On my previous trip, I stayed at Kuretake Annex Inn (5-minute walk from Ekimae). Honestly, I like Annex better. This time, I made a reservation at Ekimae because there were no seats due to the end of the year, but it's great value for money because you can sleep, walk to Shizuoka Station (5 minutes), Shin-Shizuoka Station (10 minutes), and Senoba (10 minutes). Everyone was so kind and nice, but the large public bath was so small and crowded that I couldn't use it even once. It's such a shame. ㅠㅠ Soundproofing... Especially, I can hear the sound well beyond the door.. I wonder if the students came to play in groups (it seems that many sports students use it in groups) and they are loud and shouting in groups.. I booked a room with two beds and it was really nice. Aside from the old floor feeling and soundproofing, the hot water, heater, and air conditioner are really nice. There is also a Ministop convenience store 1 minute away and a Lawson 3 minutes across the street. If the breakfast place is open in the evening, it would be so nice to forget what I bought at the convenience store ㅜㅜ It's too small to eat in the room Still recommended😀

The hotel is close to Shizuoka Station, about 5 minutes walk. Although the hotel looks old, the rooms are large, the family room for four put four beds and still have a lot of space (L-shaped). Although the toilet does not have dry and wet separation, but combined with the size of the room, location, price, value for money is definitely high.

I stayed at the hotel with my wife as a stop between Nagoya and Atami. We chose the hotel due to its very close proximity to the train station. We found the hotel room very clean and recently renovated. The utilities, including lighting and water supply, were good. The breakfast was acceptable though we needed to queue for a while. The services offered were indeed good since we managed to retrieve some left fruits in the refrigerator through the help of hotel staff after we have checked out.

I really liked the system that was thorough in eliminating unnecessary services. The amenities were on the first floor and you could take as many as you needed. Since I was staying for multiple nights, I decided not to have the sheets changed or the room cleaned and they provided me with a bottle of tea. There is also coffee service at the front desk, and cold drinks and frozen drinks are available next to the large public bath. The morning buffet was also delicious. The only disappointing thing was that the women's large public bath was small, with only three washing areas and nine lockers. When it was crowded, some people gave up on bathing and just left. Other than that it was very comfortable.

It is close to the south exit of Hamamatsu Station and has excellent access. Check-in is done using an automated machine, which was a little tedious to enter information into, but I managed it without any problems. The room is of standard business hotel specifications. The breakfast menu had many elaborate and creative dishes, and I thought that the standard fare would have been fine, but the food was delicious.

I used it as a stopover point for the Seishun 18 Ticket. Personally, I was really grateful for the deodorant spray, which was really helpful.

There was a feeling of understaffing. It took a long time to check in. The location is conveniently close to the station. It took a while for the air conditioning to work.

I loved the cleanliness of the place; it's incredibly spacious for a capsule hotel, which really impressed me. The shower area is clean and stocked with shampoo, soap, and conditioner. I received bread and coffee for breakfast. The only downside was that I wasn't aware there was no parking, so I had difficulty getting there and had to park in nearby paid lots. The location is excellent; there are convenience stores, a market, and the hotel is situated within a building that houses restaurants and cafes.

Chosen a non-smoking twin room. The room was spacious enough to open two big laugaue cases. Room are quite and beds are comfort. Shopping Malls and supermarket nearby. There is a carpark in the Hotel. If you don't drive, about 10 minutes walk to JR station or 600 yen of taxi fee or take al bus. We liked the welcome drinks bar very much, 24 hours open and self-service. Imagine that drinking a glass of cold drink after a walk in a very hot day, satisfactory.

It was quiet and comfortable. I came by car, but it was a little far from the station and had good access. As expected, it was December 29th, the end of the year, so all the restaurants were fully booked. Next time I'll come when it's less crowded.

Amenity is placed next to the front desk and you can take it to your room as needed. I feel like that's the best thing to do in this day and age. Breakfast is delicious no matter what you eat. Personally, I recommend the freshly baked bread. I had a well-balanced breakfast. There's a convenience store right in front of it, and it's about a 5-minute walk from Hamamatsu Station, so it's great to have a hotel right next to the station if you want to eat or drink.

I loved the hotel, services and amenities was wonderful, food is great, rooms clean and nice with beautiful view on Mt Fuji! Onsens was also an amazing experience, just the location for local transfer is a little far away.

Business style room that is ok sized for the price u pay. Staff was helpful to move our items up to our room prior to check in. They offer an eco friendly room cleaning option, and if selected, you will receive tokens for a free can of beer. The hotel is surrounded by many restaurants and easily accessible by car. There is free onsen but I didn't manage to try

I had a great stay at this hotel. The service was excellent and I got breakfast and a complimentary drink per day included. My room had a view on Mount Fuji which I climbed up during my stay! It’s only a 5 minute walk away from Gotemba station where the busses to Fuji depart. I will stay here again if I come back.

Location: Near to Shinagawa Station which link to most of the place you will visit as a tourist. Cleanliness: the room is clean, not feeling any uncomfortable. Service: We reached the hotel around 8pm after visit Gotemba Premium Outlet, the reception staff is not english speaker but we still able to communicate via google translate & some body language. Facilities: we do not have time to try their facilities, but in room facilities is well maintained. check out process is simple and is friendly. View: I forgot which floor we stayed, but the view is awesome, before we checked out we can see the Mt. Fuji which is superb.

The hotel is located in Gotemba Kogen Building. Gotemba is considered a tourist attraction. After all, there is nothing to do in Gotemba except the outlet. However, there are two or three hot springs near this hotel. I went to Kirakubo and it was nice. There is a light show at night. You can also visit various small shops during the day. There are bakeries, coffee shops, cocoa shops, and light food shops. You can arrange to stay here for one or two days. It is also convenient to go to the outlet. It is quiet and comfortable. The price is still very cheap.

Parking is very convenient Opposite is Aeon Maxvalue, Daiso There will be a lot of cleansing products for girls when they check in. The double bed is small The large bathing area is divided into men's and women's time slots. For girls, it is before 9:30 pm, and for boys, it is after 10 pm. The bathhouse is very small and can only accommodate about 5 to 6 people.
