The hotel location is very good; I can even walk back to the hotel from Regent Street. However, this hotel has no air conditioning, which I was aware of before checking in. I thought the British weather would be acceptable with the window open, so it wasn't a problem. But the biggest issue is that when I opened the window, the pub downstairs was very noisy. Closing the window made it stuffy and hot. In the end, I called the staff, but they couldn't do anything about the pub located at the hotel. (P.S. I stayed on the second floor and had requested a quiet room in advance.)

The location is not easy to get to and no signs was available. The room was clean but outdated deco. The bedside USB sockets does not work, we have to charge our phones at the desk. The handwashing liquid, shampoo and conditioner were fixed too high and inconvenient location. The shower water pressure was too low. The breakfast was the worse experience I ever had in a Hotel. Very limited types of food available and ran out so quickly as soon as many guests but little food. Only one staff on duty for topping up food and one staff to clean tables. There were not enough tables and seats available. It was complete and utter chaos. A guest accidentally spilled a cup of porridge into another customer but there were no napkins to clean it up. I never seen such chaos. I would not recommend this hotel and never go again.

Comfortable, safe, and well-located – a great stay in Croydon We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Croydon during a recent trip to London, and it turned out to be a really solid choice. The location is quite convenient, a 10-minute walk from Croydon station and the area itself felt lively, with lots of food options and shops around. We were two female travellers and felt quite safe exploring the neighbourhood. The hotel itself was well-maintained. Our room was comfortable and quiet, with everything we needed for a short stay. The included breakfast was a nice bonus, there were several good options to choose from, and the staff in the dining area were particularly friendly and attentive, especially during the busy morning rush. Overall, it was a well-rounded experience: clean rooms, a decent breakfast, kind staff, and a location that made getting around pretty easy. Would definitely consider staying here again.

The hotel's location is excellent. Many parts of central London are just a ten-minute journey away, making it ideal for evening walks. The breakfast spread was also exceptionally generous. A bus stop is conveniently located just a minute's walk to the right after exiting the hotel, and Waterloo Underground and train station is only a five-minute walk further. This makes the overall transportation incredibly convenient.

On 15 September, I came to check in for our second room since we had booked two rooms: one family room and one twin bedroom. The family room was ready earlier, so we checked in around 11–12pm. At that time, the staff informed us that the second room would only be available for check-in at 3pm to avoid early check-in charges. We decided to check in later at night around 10–11pm for the other room. During the check-in process, I requested an extra blanket for the family room (Room 459), as it was just me and my brother staying there, and we couldn’t share a single blanket. The staff asked how many people were in the room and insisted that they couldn’t provide an extra blanket without checking with the supervisor. Even after checking, they still refused and mentioned that the family room should already come with an extra quilt on the sofa bed. I explained that there was no extra blanket or quilt in Room 459. The staff confirmed that there should be one, but when we returned to the room, there was none. I was very frustrated at this point. Later, when we went up to our twin room (Room 412), we discovered that this room actually had the extra blanket and quilt — even though this was the twin room, not the family room. This left us very confused. How could the staff not know which room types are equipped with extra blankets? It felt unprofessional and gave us the impression that they weren’t familiar with the room assignments.

2 stops from Stratford which is a major interchange. It's a better Interchange to the Elizabeth linel to the airport compared to others on the Central line. It's a basic hotel with just a clean bed. If that's your expectation, you are fine. No mini fridge, no bathroom amenities like toothbrush and shaver and no complimentary drinking water after the first check in. I asked and was told only 2 bottles regardless of length of stay. However, you can get hot water and tea in the reception area. Reception staff was great though.

Great location as usual. Is just 10 min walk from the new Elizabeth line which go directly to Heathrow Airport. Reception is great. Just that there is a small steps from main entrance to the reception where you need to pick up your own luggage. Other than that, there is lift access to your own floor. Room is slightly small with some mild mold odour. However, bed and pillow is good. I would come back again but maybe ask for another room next time.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, just a short distance from Hyde Park. There's a supermarket conveniently located right next door, making grocery shopping a breeze. The rooms are well-equipped with a kitchen and a full set of kitchenware, perfect for preparing your own meals. A significant bonus is the washing machine with a drying function, which was incredibly useful. Highly recommended!

Great budget choice convenient to airport, also buses to Kingston etc. Neat and clean with helpful courteous staff, it’s better than many more expensive outfits serving Heathrow. Tesco minimart nearby for any extra needs. Also a nice cafe bar area. Recommended!

Generally clean in the room and bathroom, but the kettle looked uncleaned, needed multiple washing and boiling of water. Corridor outside rooms have bits and pieces of litters throughout our 5-night stay. Super convenient location, 2 mins walk across the road from the well connected Paddington station. And it was quiet throughout the day and night even though he room was facing the road and the station. Long queue and slow manned check in process at 3pm+. Self check-in machines were supposedly functional, but kept showing error messages after keying in details. Only basic amenities, no toothbrushes set (commonly unavailable items in London hotels?), no mini fridge, no locked safe. The free wifi in the room is tragically slow, even basic browsing of webs were lagging at times. Need to pay extra for higher speed internet. Should provide min speed of 5-10mbps for free.

DD TKKWe have booked for 5 nights, but when we checked in very late on day one, we were given a sub par room which was much smaller than what we have booked, and it's also very old. We made the complain to the front desk, and they didn't have any room to change for us. They only promised to give us a better room for the next 4 nights. Since I have prepaid already, they should not give our room to someone else even if they are full. The hotel is very clean and the location is excellent.

GGuest UserBerjaya Eden is very near to Queensway and Bayswater station. You'll need to carry your luggage up some stairs, but it's manageable. Alternatively drag your luggage for about 20 minutes to/from Paddington station. Hotel is in a student and touristy area near to Kensington and Hyde Parks. You can walk to Portobello street (Notting Hill movie) and even Holland Park. Rooms are serviced by an old elevator which can accommodate 2 persons with luggage. Checking in was easy and you have to pay a refundable £50 deposit. The manager helped us with our heavy luggage when he saw us approaching the hotel entrance. Our original room was located quite a distance from the lift. He gave us a room near the lift without our asking. We didn't get to thank him as he had some matter to attend to. Room was clean with comfortable bed. A tower type fan provided as there's no aircon. Won't be adequate during the summer months. Shower area was good enough for us but larger guests will find it crammed. Hot water was instantaneous and easily controlled. Buffet breakfast starts from 8am and it's Malaysian and Continental. The restaurant is called Med (Mat) Salleh and run by two Malaysian ladies from Ipoh. The Malaysian breakfast was good especially the fried chicken wings. You get all the 3 parts of the wing instead of just the drumlet served elsewhere. Yummy! Restaurant is popular with Malaysian tourists and government/business persons. Malaysian Royalty have even visited Med Salleh restaurant. There are many restaurants, cafes, pubs and supermarkets near the hotel. You won't go hungry except your wallet will be lighter if your currency is much lower than the British Pound. Checking out was just as easy and the deposit refunded to your credit card on the same day. You can also leave your luggage if you still have time before catching the train to Heathrow or elsewhere. You can catch the train to Heathrow from Paddington via Elizabeth Line or the TFL Line. Elizabeth Line cost more but is more comfortable, less stops and with enough space for your luggage.

GGuest UserI am satisfied with the location and the modern environment of the hotel itself (not the unreasonable tiny space of a standard double room - a pot 8sqm double room), but this is the worst hotel experience my family and I have ever had. My mother is an old lady who is almost 70 years old. She fell down at the hotel entrance on the day we checked in. We noticed that the ground at the hotel entrance was designed with a ramp to facilitate access for disabled people who need to use wheelchairs, but there was a small gap and height difference between the entrance and the ramp, which caused my mother to fall very badly. We booked the pot 8sqm double room for 4 nights in this hotel, the space was really incredibly small. The only thing I could thought of was to ask the hotel whether they could upgrade us to a slightly larger room to accommodate an injured elderly person, and the hotel catered our needs. The Front Office and Operations Manager Rax explained that due to the design of the hotel, the small rooms are on the floors above the ground, whilst the large rooms are in the basement of the hotel, so the only room we can move to is located in the basement of the hote, and we could only be able to move on the second day of our stayl. Although this statement is not very reasonable, the situation in the basement is acceptable. The second unpleasant and terrifying experience was that I was taking a shower in the bathroom in the room while my mother was having coffee in the hotel lobby at night, and there was no one else in the room except me. While I was showering, the lights in the bathroom suddenly went out completely, while the water was still running normally. This was definitely the most horrible hotel experience ever. I was so flustered, trying so hard to find the water faucet in the dark and turn it off. Once I opened the glass door of the shower room, the lights came back on. I hurriedly finished my shower and went to the hotel front desk, I saw Rax and reported this issue to him. From his reaction to me when he knew about this, I didn't feel that he had any empathy or sympathy for the terrible thing I had gone through. He explained that the hotel had a new motion sensor that would cause the lights in the room to turn off if there was no movement in the room. He even argued with me that it wasn't a big deal that the light went out during the shower. I suggested that he could explain this new feature of their hotel to guests when they check in, so that if guests encounter a similar situation, at least they will feel less panicked. He told me that even if he knew it in advance, he would not feel better. I was really amazed by the responses as a Front Office and Operations Manager. On the third day of our stay, when I was putting on makeup in the room and getting ready to go out, the alarm suddenly sounded. When we were trying to calm down from the unpleasant experiences we had encountered in just two days, suddenly these things that made us irritable and uneasy happened again, which really drive us crazy. I then met the Front Office Supervisor Asher at the lobby, he tried to understand our experiences patiently, and gave apologies on behalf of the hotel. He offered us free breakfast on the forth day morning which we did not ask for. Asher also talked to me sincerely, and that he would talk to the General Manager of the hotel about our case, and let the GM to have a talk with us too. I think this is the kind of attitude and crisis handling method a hotel employee should have. Finally I want to say that although my family and I have been a member of the Marriott group for many years, we will no longer stay in any of their hotels and any type of accommodation.

BBehekEverything was very good. Breakfast offers a lot of coice - except warm breakfast is only on Weekends. On the Trip site the check in time is incorrect (ov voucher it says after 12, but it is after 14) - despite us coming too early, they gave us the room and made coffee for free. The hotel is locked over night and the staff is really friendly. We were in the hotel trought the hottest days in history but they prepared a ventilator - because they don't have AC (normally).

Great
GGuest UserThis is a good hotel if you're looking for a more economical stay with a good breakfast. We had a great check in experience where we had arrived early and had a short wait for an early check in. The staff were very good here helping us find a table each morning for breakfast, made an ice pack for my wife's sore foot and they have a fridge to store food items behind the front desk. The location was pretty good and it was a short walk to popular attractions like Tate Modern, Shakespeare's Globe Theatre, and Burough Market. There were a few restaurants nearby and we enjoyed grabbing quick bites at many of the nearby shops including Tesco, Sainsbury's and Amazon Fresh. There are lots of hotels in the area as well. The hotel is located about a 7 minute walk from Blackfriars station which offers Thameslink Service to Gatwick Airport and connects easily to the Elizabeth Line to go to Heathrow. It is within a 15 minute walk to Waterloo and Southwark stations and there are busses that go through the area too so it makes the city very accessible. It is worth checking out the train schedule because some trains go every 20-30 minutes instead of the frequency north of the Thames. The room was nicely appointed with a comfy bed, four pillows, a small work space, a small wardrobe, tea station, large television, and some shelving to store our things. We were transiting through London and had brought three large suitcases with us and there was plenty of space for those. The hotel is located in a quieter area and the air conditioning is very strong so we enjoyed each night's sleep. There were signs posted that they were undergoing some maintenance work during our stay in August 2025 so it was very noisy after 9:30 am in the hotel. This is a temporary issue. We felt that the housekeeping could improve because we were provided with dirty hand towels a couple of times and they did not vacuum the floor at the entrance of the room. The wifi was good and if you've set up an IHG account before you can quickly and easily log in but we found that we had to reconnect each night. The bathroom was pretty good with a nice new and clean shower. The shower was very good each night with an adjustable head, eco setting, good temperature control and tight seals to keep the water in. They have unique shampoo and body wash that are kale and parsley scented. There isn't much room to hang wet towels in the bathroom but they do have hooks in the bedroom that we used. The breakfast was good and we were happy it was included in our stay. They had all the fixings for an English breakfast with particularly good sausages and rashes of bacon. They also had yoghurt, fruit, cheese and some cereal for a lighter breakfast. The coffee machine was good for made to order options and there was a good selection of tea. You can make yourself a go bag as well and they will let you take food too. If you have dietary restrictions you can let the front desk know when you check in and they will accommodate. We had a good stay here and it fit our itinerary. Picking a hotel in London can be tricky but the price, location, and room were right for us.

GGuest UserFirst the room was so small my suitcase wasn’t even able to fit in, when I came back to the reception they told me, they are sorry, but they are overbooked and I should look for another hotel at least for one night. (I was really shocked about that) then they said, I could leave my suitcase downstairs and head upstairs without it (how should I change?) after an hour ish, they said they can refund me a bit for a new hotel, but clearly not everything & after another while I got a slightly bigger hotelroom, finally. So I’m thankful that I didn’t need to find another hotel but it was such a shocking experience. The room itself was okay, everything needed inside, the lobby smelled weird, but I haven’t been there for that long so I don’t mind.

GGuest UserGood location. Unfortunately as it’s underground so very smelly on the way go to the rooms. Quiet and no windows but good price which is suitable for me as I only need a place to sleep at night and I booked in last minute The only thing I wasn’t happy with this booking was because of the reception staff. I booked and paid for 4 people with 2 beds in a room. When I arrived he only asked how many people I said 2 as my friends cannot make it . He didn’t say anything else but changed my booking to 1 bed in a room which isn’t fair as I paid for bigger room so even only myself came I still deserve the original room, or if he wanna save the place for new booking he should confirm with me if I allow him to do so. And he wasn’t nice to me as other 2 receptionists I met the next day. I kept the smaller room and didn’t ask to change because I arrived around 10pm & felt exhausted and took like 15mins to come back the reception cuz there is only one lift. But when I do check out I already mentioned - not to claim back anything but would like to improve things if in future I have chance to come back here as I normally booked in last minute and choose a place depending on prices + location I booked with Zedwell in London couple times but normally I stayed in Piccadilly Circus and always happy as clean nice room, good location closed to china town, multiple lifts don’t have to wait long, check in check out system very easy to use but receptionists always happy to help which is a big thanks
