Unable to secure a twin room at the Four Seasons, and with our elderly family members specifically requiring separate beds, we instead booked Fraser Suites' largest three-bedroom apartment.
We were assigned to the 21st floor (out of 25, a minor disappointment as it wasn't one of the top two floors). The apartment featured an L-shaped layout, which felt a bit unusual. The master bedroom had a king bed, while the other two bedrooms had a queen bed and two single beds, respectively. Without floor-to-ceiling windows, the visual impression of space felt a little constricted.
The layout of the living and dining areas wasn't ideal and could benefit from an upgrade or rearrangement. The open-plan kitchen was tastefully designed, and both a washing machine and dryer were conveniently located next to the fridge. However, the range hood's ventilation wasn't very effective.
The use of Villeroy & Boch and Hansgrohe for bathroom fixtures suggests a relatively high investment in the property's hardware.
We had requested mouthwash and a variety of pillows during booking, and thankfully, these requests were eventually met, partly due to the booking platform's coordination.
The beds were exceptionally comfortable, offering a perfect balance of softness and support – a truly unexpected highlight.
The swimming pool was the most satisfying feature. The water temperature was a bit on the cool side, and while its length was acceptable, it was rather narrow. The depth, ranging from 0.9m to 1.5m, was fine, though I did graze my toe on the pool floor in the shallowest section. The changing rooms were excellent, complete with hot and cold plunge pools and both wet and dry saunas. Plus, they had Dyson hairdryers, which were far superior to the ones in the apartment.
**Points for improvement:**
1. The toothpaste provided was Meijianjing, which seemed out of place for a hotel of this caliber.
2. After checking in, we discovered there was only one hairdryer for three bedrooms. Furthermore, it was one of those models that require you to continuously hold down the handle to operate – a type I'd never encountered before. After calling room service, they simply provided another identical, awkward hairdryer. Why not the Dyson ones found in the gym changing rooms?
3. The toilet paper was incredibly thin and rather rough. For a property of this standard, one would expect at least Kleenex-quality tissue.
4. The living room television was too small and had poor picture quality; it definitely needs an upgrade.
5. There weren't enough waste bins, and their placement was inconvenient.
6. Out of the three bathrooms, only the master bathroom featured a non-standalone bathtub, which was awkwardly placed inside the shower cubicle, making it very inconvenient to use. What's more, there was a small, completely empty room right next to it with no facilities at all.
7. The wardrobe hangers were not suitable for delicate clothing, as there were no padded or silk hangers provided.
Overall, while it offers excellent value for money, it doesn't quite qualify as a luxury hotel apartment, falling more into the category of an entry-level five-star property like a Shangri-La or Hilton.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and overall had a pleasant experience. The highlight was definitely the fantastic sea view from the room – waking up to that every morning was a real treat. The room itself was clean and comfortable, and I appreciated the upkeep during my stay.
Just below the hotel, there’s a convenient BBQ restaurant and a seafood restaurant, both of which were enjoyable. There are also plenty of other dining options within walking distance, which made meal times easy and enjoyable.
However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The breakfast spread was exactly the same every day, which got a bit repetitive over a four-day stay. A little variety would have made mornings more enjoyable. Also, the laundry facilities were located in a separate block, which was a bit inconvenient. It would be much better if they were in the same building as the rooms.
Overall, a good stay with a stunning view and clean accommodations, but there’s room for improvement in amenities and breakfast variety.

An absolutely perfect stay. The InterContinental Dalian boasts luxurious, elegant, and grand facilities. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and inviting, offering breathtaking views of the East Port shipyard and the ocean. Its prime downtown location provides incredibly convenient access to subway and bus lines, and taxi rides around the city are also very affordable. It's just a short walk to the historic century-old buildings around Zhongshan Square. Check-in was a breeze, and the service was attentive and incredibly warm.
A special thank you to DANA at the front desk for her excellent service. I also appreciate the doormen who always helped me with my bags from the taxi. Finally, kudos to the F&B department for the thoughtful gesture of delivering red date and pear soup to my room in the evening, which was a perfect way to relax and unwind after a long day of exploring. Dalian truly is a fantastic city!

The hotel upgraded my room to an incredibly spacious sea-view suite. It offered excellent views of the Oriental Water City and the sea nearby, and was also very close to the square. However, there was a delay during check-in, possibly due to a high volume of group bookings and the hotel being near full capacity. What's more, I was woken up by an itch two consecutive nights, leading me to suspect dust mites on the bathrobes and bedding. (The inner lining material of the bathrobes appears prone to accumulating dirt/dust). The hotel's seafood buffet was good, though.

Bringing my parents to Dalian this time, we decisively chose Yifang Castle, often called the 'Neuschwanstein of the East'. From check-in to check-out, every single detail exuded luxury, completely surpassing our expectations. The hotel's exterior beautifully replicates the elegance of a European castle. My parents couldn't stop taking pictures as soon as we arrived, remarking that it felt like stepping into a movie scene. During check-in, our dedicated butler provided seamless guidance. They not only proactively helped with our luggage but also inquired about my parents' daily routine beforehand, specifically arranging a quiet, high-floor room with a stunning sea view. My parents repeatedly expressed how comfortable and pleased they were with the stay.

The hotel boasts a fantastic location. Right outside, you'll find a scenic viewing platform, conveniently situated between Gates 3 and 4. For just 20 RMB, you can enjoy unlimited rides on the shuttle bus all day, which conveniently connects all gates from 1 to 7. Gates 3 and 7 offer water activities, while Gate 6 features a charming beach dotted with pink tents. If you're looking for dining options, Gates 1 and 2 have a wider selection. In the evenings, Gate 3 also hosts vibrant stage performances. The hotel rooms are generously sized. Photos 1, 7, and 10-13 below were all taken from the hotel balcony, showcasing the stunning views. In the evenings, you can clearly hear the lively buzz from the Gate 3 performances, and at 9:30 PM, you're treated to the spectacular fireworks display from Discoveryland. It's also a perfect spot to catch the sunrise in the morning.

Sorry, but the hotel doesn't worth the price. The location is not good at all,(no markets or cafes around, hard to find taxi, and you need to for Didi taxi like forever) the amenities are starting to be outdated (the faucet in the bathroom leaked badly, the iron cord was not from a 4-star hotel, the breakfast is unreasonably pricy). Oh, the wifi is not working normally as well

The room was quite large, the bed was very comfortable, and the facilities were all very new. The city view room faced the commercial street, which was quite nice and perfect for a stroll. It's only 800 meters from the Donggang Music Fountain.
The front desk saw I was traveling with two children and even offered complimentary breakfast. That was very thoughtful! 👍👍👍
You can even add extra blankets. The service was excellent, and even the cleaning lady was so welcoming, greeting us as soon as we met. Next time I'm in Dalian, I'll definitely stay here again. The kids were so reluctant to leave, haha😃

LLiangguniangOur first stop in Dalian was Jinshitan. The hotel's back entrance directly faces Gate 4 of the scenic area, leading right to a pebble beach. It's also very close to rocky areas perfect for tide-pooling. Our little one had a blast, catching crabs and hermit crabs. The room's facilities and amenities were quite satisfactory, and the service was excellent. Since our child has a habit of napping, the front desk was very accommodating and arranged a late check-out for us. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely visit again.

VVerusha GovenderBayshore hotel was an amazing stay we stayed in the family suite and it met our expectations. Everything was clean and spacious, the breakfast was okay, they did t have much of a western spread but it was up to standards just the food was always cold. The location was great it was really close to Xinghai park and xinghai square. The only issue we had was the elevator I know the concept of the twin elevator was innovative but during peak time you would wait a good 5 to 10 min for the elevator. However the stay was great and I would definitely consider staying at bayshore hotel again.

NNaipingdougeinidafan1Recommended by a friend, it's average, but the price is very affordable for this location.
Facilities: The room is decorated very well, but many small details are not well considered. For example, the washbasin in the room is really too small. Although there is a small movable table next to it, it is really inconvenient to pull it back and forth. The arrangement of the sockets is really unreasonable. Most people now have two mobile phones, so it is really inconvenient to run up and down. Although I don't use a kettle, this room doesn't have a very suitable place to plug in the kettle. Of course, it may be that the partition made later can't be changed. You can really consider adding a floor towel in the room, because if the water comes out, the terrazzo floor is still a bit slippery, and the sound insulation is really bad. It's only for this room, and other rooms are not referenceable.
Hygiene: The room hygiene is still OK
Environment: Because the geographical location is a first-line sea view, the objective factor is strong wind, and occasionally there will be small flies and flies that are not easy to avoid, but there is nothing else.
Service: To be honest, it's very real. Because we didn't go to the travel photography sent by ourselves, we don't know what it looks like, so we don't comment on it. As long as reasonable demands are made, they can basically be met. Sometimes they cannot be met in time. Maybe I went there during off-peak hours and there may not be enough staff. This is completely understandable.
Finally, I want to ask, do you always let Sister Fei do the business? Looking at Sister Fei's face, it seems that she has a hard life...

EE0108****A very memorable weekend trip. I booked a sea view garden room on Ctrip, and the front desk upgraded it to a sea view garden suite for free. It was a 180-degree unbeatable sea view. The afternoon tea snacks and fruits were of high quality. All the drinks in the small refrigerator were free, and the breakfast was also rich. After checking out, the hotel also gave us a gift. I have been to many places in China, and the Kowloon Bay Full Sea View Hotel left me with a very good impression. I hope to have the opportunity to come again in the future. The hotel has an excellent geographical location, with one mountain and two seas, and is very close to the first mountain in southern Liaoning-Dahei Mountain. Across the road from the hotel is Tongniuling, which is surrounded by mountains and the sea, and the scenery is pleasant. In the colorful autumn, between the mountains and the sea, encountering this hotel is the most beautiful encounter!

GGuest UserStaying in your hotel is the most pleasant surprise this year! When I opened the window in the morning, I could see the sparkling sea, and the sound of the tide accompanied by the aroma of coffee awakened me to my lazy holiday. The exclusive courtyard space is exquisitely designed, which not only maintains privacy but also perfectly integrates with the sea view. The butler team provides meticulous service. It is close to the bustling city but has the whole sea to itself. This accommodation experience in Xinghai Bay is worthy of being included in the annual travel highlights!

NNiaomingzhijianThe environment is very good. The hotel is clean and tidy. The lady at the front desk is very nice and provides attentive service. The children I brought with me were also provided with children's slippers, toothbrushes and shower gel. It was very good. The service attitude and sound insulation were excellent. The American-style rooms are very high-end, the bathrooms are all brand-name, and the price/performance ratio is first-class. The hotel facilities are complete. I will come again. I am very satisfied!
