The location is a bit far away from downtown, but taking a grab is no problem nor expensive. The infinity pool and sea view is just stunning. We really enjoyed our stay in this hotel. If I could point one negative thing I'd say the facilities are quite old and the customer service is not good nor bad, just average. At the end of the day I think it's a good choice in langkawi

It was an amazing stay, really loved their facilities. The room was pretty huge and came with a bathtub. Our room also had a partial sea view, which was stunning. The breakfast spread could be slightly better, but whatever they provide is scrumptious. It is also near the jetty point and is located in a center. Highly recommended.

I stayed at this hotel in Langkawi during my trip with my husband, and the place was truly stunning. From the moment we arrived, everything felt so peaceful and beautiful. I stayed there only for a night including with breakfast. The room was very nice, the bed was extremely comfortable, and I honestly regretted that we only stayed for one night. Waking up to such a breathtaking view was an experience on its own—the scenery around the hotel was absolutely amazing. One of my favourite parts of the resort was the beautiful swimming pool located right in the middle. It added so much charm to the place and made the whole environment feel even more relaxing and luxurious. Sitting by the pool and taking in the surroundings felt like a dream. I would say this was my favourite stay on my whole vacation there. That said, the journey to the resort was a bit challenging. The road leading up was quite confusing and honestly a little scary, as the resort is located at the top of a hill. Driving up from the bottom felt intense, and the pathway could definitely be improved. But once we reached the resort and stepped inside, it felt like entering heaven. The atmosphere, the view, and the comfort completely made up for the drive. Despite the challenging road, the experience was totally worth it. I truly fell in love with the place, and next time I visit Langkawi, I’ll definitely make sure to stay there longer.

For a three-night stay that cost 8,000, I didn't feel it exceeded my expectations. The front desk staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, during breakfast, the staff were mostly expressionless, and the variety of food wasn't great. The resort is quite large, so it takes some time to walk to your room, which can be challenging, especially when it's hot. It's supposed to be a family-friendly hotel, but they didn't provide children's toothbrushes, toothpaste, shower gel, shampoo, or bathrobes. It really pales in comparison to hotels back home. There are two pool areas, one of which has a simple slide. The hotel has direct access to Cenang Beach, perfect for watching the sunset and playing in the sand. When we returned to our room on the second day, we found the cleaning was subpar; there were two stains inside the duvet, and hair wasn't cleaned off the sheets when the duvet was pulled back. The duvet cover and sheets looked quite old and somewhat yellowish. The towels and bath towels in the bathroom also looked dingy, suggesting they'd been reused many times. There are USB charging ports, two on one bedside table, but other devices require an adapter. Mosquito repellent mats were not replenished after the initial two upon arrival. Tissues were not provided initially; I had to call the front desk to get them. Our room's balcony opened directly to a pool in one of the two areas, which was convenient. However, it was quite a distance from the breakfast area, unfortunately. The air conditioning in the room was also a bit loud.

Absolutely loved our stay at The Bayou Hotel and Langkawi island. Less than 20mins transfer from the airport, 5 mins walk to the beach and a clean pool are amongst some of the great amenities. It’s a small/medium sized hotel with a personalized service. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere and ambience are very nice. Breakfast was good and the seating was open air with plenty of room for all guests. Rooms were clean and good sized. Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants a clean, comfortable and personalized stay in Langkawi.

Bayview is the excellent hotel in the heart of Kuah town. It’s obviously quite old but very-well kept and well-equipped. I haven’t had any disappointments during our 5 nights stay. We had a family suite. It’s well-furnished, so spacious and light! There’s a great view on the Maha tower and the sea! We didn’t have any meals in the hotel, so can’t say anything about the food and the restaurant. There’s proper cleaning every day. The staff is so helpful and friendly. So, the stay was great!

Swimming pool was amazing. The beach area was pretty quiet. It was useful to have a cafe. Sandwiches and fruit are ok. There are several local restaurants near by. Rooms were a bit outdated but it was clean and fine for us, especially some of the local hotels are old and dirty so this hotel seems great compare to others. The hotel food is ok. We had the western menu. It was fine.

I booked a 2-night stay with my Mrs in one of the villas connected to the shared pool, and our experience started off on a great note. We were picked up from the airport in a very comfortable Toyota Alphard arranged by the resort. Our driver and resort staff, Khai, was incredibly friendly—he patiently answered all my questions and gave us fantastic food recommendations since it was my first time in LGK. Upon arrival, we were welcomed by Daniel at the lobby. He served us beautifully presented lemon peach teas as a welcome drink and brought us through the entire check-in process. While waiting for our villa to be ready, we had lunch at the resort’s only restaurant. Unfortunately, this was the only part of the stay that fell short—the pizza crust was undercooked, a bit greasy, and tasted store-bought, which was quite disappointing. Thankfully, things picked up again after that. Khai later escorted us to our villa, and we were relieved that our balcony didn’t directly face the restaurant. However, I do feel the pool and villa balconies could be designed to offer more privacy so diners aren’t looking out over the area. Overall, the stay was truly pleasant. I loved that the resort is away from the busy beach, giving us a peaceful and quiet environment. All the staff were warm and friendly. A few standout perks include: 1. Complimentary rides to and from the property (subject to booking and availability) 2. Free minibar, replenished daily—including coffee capsules 3. Complimentary Netflix and YouTube accounts on the TV (which both my wife and I really love) 4. A pretty decent in-room breakfast experience. (they definitely do breakfast better than lunch, in my opinion) I also indulged in a 90-minute massage, which started with herbal tea, grapes, and a carrot stick during a herbal foot bath, followed by a foot massage and a one-hour full-body aromatherapy massage. My masseuse, Yaya, was incredibly patient and attentive, constantly checking on the pressure and even gifting me a small goodie bag at the end. All in all, I wouldn’t mind returning—and I’m even considering trying one of their larger 3-room villas next time. I highly recommend this resort for big families, couples, or anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

Beautiful beach, friendly staffs. Peace and cozy. We had a wonderful stay at Tanjung Rhu Beach Resort, Langkawi. The staff were extremely friendly and warm — they greeted us every time we crossed paths, which made us feel truly welcomed. Breakfast was enjoyable with a good mix of Western and local options. The kueh teow soup was especially nice, and the champagne was a fun and pleasant touch! We also had dinner at the resort restaurant — the pizza and drinks were delicious. Dining by the beach while watching the sunset, with the cool sea breeze and peaceful atmosphere, was incredibly cozy. The view is simply priceless — something money can’t measure. The location is excellent. At the corner of the resort’s private beach, you can easily find mangrove tour providers. During high tide, boats can even come directly to the beach to pick you up. It’s also just a 5-minute walk to the jetty, where there are more mangrove tour companies. The jetty is also a beautiful spot to catch the sunrise in the morning. The resort offers daily activities as well, which were fun and relaxing. Nature lovers will especially appreciate this place — we spotted a family of dusky leaf monkeys, hornbills, squirrels, and many other birds. It truly feels like a protected natural haven. A perfect retreat for those seeking peace, nature, and a relaxing beachfront experience.

A word of advice!! If you need absolute quiet to sleep, do NOT choose this place!! If you have high standards for clear ocean water, do NOT choose this place, because the water is murky! If you're a seafood aficionado, do NOT choose this place, because it's incredibly expensive! Brand-name hotels in Langkawi are quite polarized, and ALOFT is considered upper-mid-range. Its location is at the end of the main road, backed by mountains and facing the sea. However, because it's separated from the sea by the main road, and it's a resort town with plenty of nightlife for night owls, when you want to get a good night's sleep, the nightmare for sensitive sleepers begins. The roar of various motor vehicles only starts to die down around 3 AM. A few hours later, the animals in the mountains wake up, and a cacophony of morning chirping begins, OMG~~ The hotel facilities are excellent, and the staff are wonderful, all deserving full marks, except for the night front desk guy who must be a cool person because he never smiles~ The à la carte options at the buffet restaurant are very good, but the buffet itself needs improvement. For 98 MYR, it's almost entirely local Malaysian dishes – lots of chicken and staple foods~ I especially want to thank the young man and woman who helped with check-in. Their service attitude and flexibility were first-class! I sent an email before arriving, requesting some special arrangements because we had seniors and children, and they fulfilled all our requests. Truly excellent! Unfortunately, I forgot to ask for their names. Christina, the young lady at the breakfast restaurant, who I believe is Malaysian, has an incredibly good attitude, is very friendly, and has a beautiful smile. More importantly, she can handle guests' needs flexibly and proficiently. Thumbs up!
