The hotel environment was very comfortable, and most importantly, it was extremely easy to find.
It’s located right opposite Kyoto Station, which makes traveling around incredibly convenient. It also offers self check-in and self check-out, which was really convenient and efficient.
From Kyoto Station, you can easily reach Nara and Uji directly by train.
There are also bus stops right across the hotel that take you straight to popular attractions such as Kiyomizu-dera Temple, Ninenzaka, Sannenzaka, and Yasaka Shrine.
Another huge plus is the convenience—there’s a FamilyMart and a 7-Eleven just across the street, which was incredibly handy.
As for the room, it truly fits the saying “small but well-equipped.”
Everything we needed was provided. We traveled with one 24-inch and one 28-inch suitcase, and by moving the table and chairs slightly, we were able to open both suitcases comfortably.
The desk and chairs were especially appreciated, as they were very friendly for travelers who still need to work during the trip.

I had a great stay at Agora Kyoto Karasuma. The hotel has a calm, elegant atmosphere, and the rooms are thoughtfully designed with a minimalist Japanese style that feels both modern and cozy. The location is perfect, close to transportation, shops, and great local restaurants, which made getting around Kyoto very convenient.
The staff were kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything I needed. Their hospitality made the experience even better. Overall, it was a wonderful stay, and I would definitely choose Agora Kyoto Karasuma again on my next visit to Kyoto.

I stayed at Onyado Nono for 3 nights during my trip to Kyoto, and it was truly a 'sweet trap' – I didn't want to leave! Here are a few reasons why you absolutely must stay here:
1. **Breakfast Beyond Compare:** 🥢
Seriously, I have to rave about their Japanese buffet breakfast! It's a 'seafood donburi free-for-all' with incredibly fresh and abundant ingredients. Every morning, I ate until I was 'bursting at the seams,' fully recharged and ready to start my day. This breakfast alone is worth the price of the stay.
2. **Soul-Soothing Yonaki Ramen:** 🍜
The 'Yonaki Ramen' served after 9:30 PM is an open secret among guests. Although it's a complimentary (free) vegetarian ramen (soy-sauce based), the broth is incredibly fresh, and the noodles are perfectly springy and authentic! Having a bowl after a hot spring bath is the ultimate late-night comfort.
3. **Natural Hot Springs:** ♨️
After a long day of exploring Kyoto (like Kiyomizu-dera and Gion), being able to soak in a genuine natural hot spring at the hotel instantly melts away all the fatigue.
4. **Overall Experience:**
The location is convenient, not far from Kyoto Station. The hotel's 'hot spring + feast' combination is simply 'addicting' and incredibly comfortable. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto who wants to experience authentic Japanese service and is looking for great value for money!

I really like this hotel; it's a quiet oasis in a bustling area. The transportation is very convenient, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. There's a noodle shop right behind the hotel that always has a long line. To the left of the noodle shop, across the street, there's a drugstore where you can park your husband at the hotel and shop to your heart's content. You can find almost anything that's out of stock on Xiaohongshu there. The room was much larger than the ones I stayed in Osaka, and it even had a microwave and a washing machine, so you could have breakfast right in your room. However, I definitely don't recommend the hotel's breakfast; for over 100 RMB, you just get scrambled eggs, and the taste is questionable.

Great location, but a bit too lively. The facilities are brand new. The service was pretty standard – polite but not particularly warm or enthusiastic, which was a stark contrast to the Okura Hotel I stayed at later. Oh, and the second morning, the sun came out for breakfast! Eating outdoors with a warm sun on your face and a view of Higashiyama was absolutely fantastic! 👍👍👍

Extremely satisfied with our stay. The hotel is new, clean, comfortable, and offers great value for money. We originally booked for two nights but ended up staying an extra night. It's within walking distance to Kiyomizu-dera Temple and Sannenzaka/Ninenzaka, though a bit far from the main shopping areas. Otherwise, no complaints at all.

The rooms are decent. There's a communal bath, which is kind of like a hot spring, though the water is just regular tap water – it was clean and hygienic. On the second floor, there's a ping-pong table, an all-you-can-drink bar, and a small kids' play area. It feels like a friendly little community. The staff are all polite and attentive.
There's an aquarium very close by, and the hotel has a back entrance for direct access. We didn't realize this until we walked all the way around in the rain!
There's a surface parking lot if you drive, costing 2500 yen per day for unlimited use, but the small road leading in can be a bit tricky to find.

First off, the location is excellent, right across from Hankyu Arashiyama. We came from Kyoto, and there's a direct bus from our Kyoto hotel, so we took the bus. We checked in at 3 PM, dropped off our luggage, and then went to explore around Togetsukyo Bridge. We also had tickets for the Arashiyama Scenic Railway at 2:30 PM.
For dinner, we had two time slots, 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM; we chose 5:30 PM, and the dinner was fantastic. The hotel also offers a late-night snack. The private onsen baths were busy at night, so we opted for the public bath, which was empty since we went early. The next morning, we chose a private bath. This stay included two meals, and we had plenty of time, so it truly felt like a vacation. Oh, and there's a tea bar on the first floor; I love mocha or cocoa. After the evening bath, there are popsicles, and after the morning bath, there's lactic acid drink. It's wonderful!

Hotel ALa in Kyoto was a delightful surprise during my trip. The pictures made it look quite ordinary, but upon checking in, I found it to be understated yet elegant. The hotel is conveniently located near the station, and there's a 7-Eleven right across the street with a great selection of beers. The miniature dry landscape gardens (Karesansui) on each floor were a pleasure to look at, and the natural hot spring, 'Gokou no Yu', was incredibly relaxing and free for guests to use. My room even had a small window view that was absolutely stunning when I opened the curtains in the morning.
I highly recommend the sukiyaki at the hotel; the beef was tender and delicious, and the portion was generous. A lovely staff member even helped serve it, and the accompanying fruit was surprisingly good. I stayed for three nights, slept comfortably, and had a wonderful time. Many thanks to the entire hotel team; their hard work made my sightseeing experience even more enjoyable.

The hotel is just one stop away from Kyoto JR Station; you step right out into it. There's also a bus stop right outside the entrance. It's very convenient for visiting attractions in Kyoto city. The whole place feels very new and modern. You're required to take off your shoes upon entering the hotel, and walking barefoot throughout the entire premises takes a bit of getting used to. They offer complimentary late-night noodles starting at 9:30 PM daily. In the mornings, there's unlimited Yakult, and in the evenings, free-flow ice pops. Both indoor and outdoor onsen (hot springs) are available. However, since Kyoto likely doesn't have volcanoes, the overall quality of the hot springs can't quite compare to similar hotels in areas like Hakone. P.S. This hotel belongs to the same management group as Mizunone, where I stayed in Hakone last year.
