Location: The hotel is less than a 10-minute walk from Kobe Sannomiya Station, and you can take an airport shuttle to Kansai or Itami Airport. Don Quijote is right across from the hotel. Kobe isn't very big, so you can take an evening stroll to Meriken Park to see the sea or go shopping at Daimaru.
Amenities: The front desk has a water dispenser, and you can also get bottled water and facial masks from the staff. There are self-check-in and check-out machines, which saves time. The room itself isn't very large; it felt a bit cramped for three people.
I stayed here during the October holiday, and the price was quite high at over 1,000 yen per night. The location is on Sannomiya's busiest street, right next to Don Quijote, which makes dining and shopping very convenient. The room size was standard; I could open my 26-inch suitcase without a problem. They added an extra bed to our twin room as requested. The decor felt a bit old, rather dark and dingy. Overall, it met my expectations, but the price would be more reasonable if it were around 700-800 yen.
Coming from Sannomiya Station, there's a scheduled shuttle bus every 20 minutes, which is super convenient. The hotel is located in Kobe Port, and the sea view is absolutely stunning, especially at night. All sea view rooms have balconies, making you feel like you're on a cruise vacation. The breakfast is incredibly rich, with panoramic views, and the juices are freshly squeezed, even the mixed fruit juice is great. You definitely have to cook the ramen yourself to get the best flavor!
The room is clean, parking is very convenient, the toilet is large, and the facilities are very new. However, the wifi is almost unavailable. The movie viewing is good. The hotel is only suitable for self-driving people. There is little public transportation nearby.

Our stay in this hotel was great! I wish we stayed here longer than one evening.
Our traditional Japanese room was very spacious and had two separate toilet rooms attached as well as a bathroom. The view from our room was amazing! And sitting area before the huge windows even had a massage chair and a vanity. The shoji doors showed some signs of wear but everything were very clean.
Our kaiseki dinner was spectacular and incredibly tasty. But I wish there were some instructions for foreigners how to enjoy it properly. Our server didn't speak English and we didn't speak Japanese so there was a minor misunderstanding but everything was resolved 😅
I'm definitely a fan of such kind of a meal now!
We visited all the hot springs that are available in this hotel and it's sister hotel across the river. I liked the silver indoor spring in our hotel and gold outdoor spring in sister-hotel the most. Hot springs are closed after 24:00. And open from 6:00 to 9:00 nest morning. Unfortunately they are closed from 9:00 to 12:00(check out time) which make it impossible to enjoy them in the morning for those who prefer to sleep in((
Would definitely reccommend the stay for relaxing and luxurious experience.

It was absolutely awesome.
We really needed this kind of rest after two busy weeks in Japan. We were so happy to relax body and soul. The room was luxurious and spacious; we chose a traditional one. This was our first hot spring experience, so it's hard to compare, but we loved it. All the hot spring rooms are strictly private, which is why we chose this ryokan. We have very large tattoos, and there are no problems with that. The kaiseki dinner is a real ritual and a show that lasts two hours of clear pleasure, everything was incredibly delicious, beautiful, and nutritious. Breakfast was also excellent. I recommend arriving in Arima village in the morning, rather than staying in Kobe or Osaka, to have time to explore it. It's small but charming, with that perfect anime vibe.

This is a quaint traditional hot spring hotel. Because it is not very large, it only has 2 indoor hot springs (but you can use the outdoor hot spring in the main building), and the indoor hot spring is relatively small. As for the food, the portions are not too big and the ingredients are not very high-end, but the taste is good. As for the service attitude, except for the female waiter I met when checking out in the morning, the others were good (the chefs were also very friendly).

This is quite a traditional onsen hotel, featuring both 'Gold' and 'Silver' springs. Our one-night stay for five people, including two meals, cost a total of 5000 RMB, and we were quite happy with the value. Upon arriving at Arima Station by bus, you can call the hotel for a pick-up service. Check-in is at 3 PM, leaving plenty of time to explore the small town afterwards, but be aware that most shops close by 5 PM. The Kaiseki dinner wasn't particularly impressive, but it was definitely filling.

I have to express my sincere gratitude to Ms Hatsumi from the hotel. Thanks to her help, I had a wonderful trip to Rokkōsan. She is definitely a polite, professional, and of course pretty lady. Her communication skills are good especially that she speaks fluent English which would be of great help for someone like me who don't speak any japanese. Although the original local tour was full of bookings , she helped me reserve a taxi and solve my ease of communicating with local taxi drivers.
The view and environment is splendid with a great hotel service teams. I would highly recommend to someone who wants to experience a unique accommodation experience. Though the drawbacks , as you might know already , is 1) no private bathroom 2) not sound-proof building materials , but it is understandable given that the hotel is with ancient history
