The hotel room was spacious, with two beds and a clean bathroom. However, despite booking a non-smoking room, there was a strong smell of cigarettes. A small homestay located in the heart of the old town. There are enough shops and restaurants nearby. It's about a 10 minute walk to both the north gate and the south gate. Keep in mind if you have heavy luggage you would need to drag it around the cobblestone streets because no vehicle can reach the place. The service of the owner alone makes me rate this place 5/5 stars already. It didn't matter how many questions I asked, everytime he helped me out. If you are a solo traveller or don't speak any word of Mandarin then this is a great place to stay, the owner will make sure you don't get lost. While the service was perfect and couldn't be any better there are some negative things worth mentioning. First of all, the soundproofing is really bad. The room's door is full of holes and gaps so you can hear everything that is happening outside. Moreover, you better make sure you don't have any upstairs neighbours because you can hear everything what they do as well: moving around on the wooden floor, flushing the toilet, opening the tap, taking a shower. Second, talking about showers, the shower in the room takes quite some time to heat up (similar to most hotels in China) but the more annoying part is that its impossible to get the right temperature for the shower: its either way too hot or cold. Lastly, the curtains were full of disgusting stains and didn't block out all the light so I recommend just getting them replaced. All in all, this place has some positives and some negatives. Decide for yourself if you want to stay here. In my opinion, despite the negatives, I would definitely stay here again and recommend you to do the same.

The interior deco of the hotel is unique, and the breakfast area is at level 6 with a mountain view. Though it's next to a small lane where the vehicle passed through, the noise is minimal and does not affect my resting. The room is spacious and clean. Staff is attentive, helpful, and kind. On the day of my checkout, I received a souvenir from the reception. Am thankful for the thoughtfulness. Highly recommend this hotel.

Finding this cozy hotel can be tricky.. as it involve winding stairs going down to the ancient city 😂 the room is spacious as well as the bathroom, equipped with AC to control the heat during cold nights. Hosts are helpful and attentive to our needs. We love the plants and flowers at the hotel patio, which became our location for photographs ✌🏾 very walkable to the ancient city, safe, and easy to find taxi if you head out towards the main road from the hotel.

This is my first time in Lijiang. Mr. Andy contact me days before we arriving from Kuala Lumpur to arrange for pick up at train station. But due to my WeChat aps error, we go to the hotel by DiDi and he picked us from the entrance and helped us with the bags as the old city not accessible direct by car. While we were checking in he made us tea, which was really nice. The hotel is very beautiful, just in the center of Lijiang Old Town. You can go out and stroll. The room and environment is beautiful, comfortable and clean and also all the essential are there. The whole staff of the hotel were really nice and always there for me for all the service that I need especially Mr. Andy. He taking care of us. He helped me reserving a trip to the snow mountain & Tiger Leaping Gorger. Mr. Andy led us to the meeting point in the morning. Very good of him. Mr. Andy arrange driver to send us to the train station on our last day in Lijiang. I highly recommended staying at this hotel and will never regret the experience. Very good stay, close to the South gate of Dali Ancient City which has many restaurants. The hotel owners are very helpful, their services are the best. They helped to arrange for the carpooling to Shaxi, answer all questions that I have, recommend very good mushroom hotpot restaurant and contact the e-bike owner for issues of the e-bike that I had rented.

The workers were amazing and the location is great, I give a 2 out of 5 for ammenities because the room is really really dark, even in broad daylight. They were also undergoing renovations outside. I felt it was too expensive for what it actually is. Apart from that, everything great ☺️ very close to the ancient city, which is a great plus.

The experience is full. In the sea view room, you can see the beautiful scenery outside the window. The Haidong side is very quiet and there are no people. It is very convenient to eat nearby, and there is a car rental agency not far away. The room has a heated toilet, wet and dry bathrooms, and free delivery to the station if booked for two nights. The boss and his wife are very nice. It’s rare to find a B&B that you like very much.

Breakfast was hot and filling and had some small variety from day to day. Bed and shower were comfortable. Room was spacious and even had a little living room area. My only (minor) complaints would be that “Mountain View” advertised was no view at all, but I enjoyed the Mountain View from the shared rooftop and the marvelous fish pond in the center of the inn.
