"Really enjoyed my stay at this hotel! ⭐️ The staff were excellent and very helpful throughout our stay. Even though they didn’t really speak English, they still made a great effort to assist us whenever we needed help. Really appreciate their patience and hospitality! 🙌🏻 For Muslim travellers, halal food is available around the area, but most halal restaurants are not within walking distance. You’ll need to take a DiDi to get to them, so it’s something to keep in mind when choosing this hotel. Other than that, the view from the hotel is beautiful and definitely one of the highlights of the stay. Overall, a pleasant experience and I would recommend this hotel! 👍🏻"

"Beautiful courtyard and excellent service! ⭐️ The hotel has a stunning courtyard exterior, and the interior was also very pretty. It has a more rustic, traditional feel, so don’t expect super modern facilities - but we actually enjoyed the charm of it. In terms of cleanliness, it could be improved slightly. There was some mould in the bathroom, likely due to the moisture, and we noticed a little dust underneath the sofa. However, the bed itself was clean, which was the most important thing for us. The bed was also slightly firmer than what we’re used to, but this is really just a personal preference and didn’t take away from the overall experience. The location is about a 20-minute walk to the market square, but it honestly didn’t feel that long as there are plenty of shops, sights and eateries along the way. We actually really liked the quieter location, and there were still plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, so it was quite convenient. The service was excellent. Everyone was super friendly and helpful, both when communicating with us on WeChat and in person. We stayed for 3 nights and were given a complimentary car ride from the train station, which was very much appreciated. Free drinking water was also provided. When we checked out, the staff even helped bring our luggage to the nearest exit from the ancient town, which was a huge help as the streets are cobbled and there are some uphill sections towards the exit. Overall, you really get what you pay for. It was an affordable stay with excellent service, and we were happy with our experience. While the hotel is more rustic and the cleanliness could be improved in some areas, the friendly service, beautiful courtyard and overall value made up for it. We didn’t mind the slightly less convenient location either, especially since the area was quieter and still had plenty of shops and eateries nearby. 😊"

"THE BEST HOTEL WE'VE EVER STAYED AT 😩❤️❤️ Our plan was to stay one night in Shangri-La and we made THE BEST decision booking this hotel. They provided pick up and drop off service from the railway station and the car was very comfortable for us 4 people. The butler waited for us right outside the station and greeted us with a smile. He helped us with the bags and drove us to the hotel. The hotel was only a few minutes away from the station and when we arrived, the staff gave us each the ******* scarf as a welcome gift. They explained everything in english and added us to a wechat group with all the staffs so we can ask anything in the group through wechat right away. The room was BIG. Was luxurious and very high tech. and DONT GET ME STARTED ON THE VIEWS 😭😭😭 The view from the room was IMMACULATE. I COULD WATCH IT EVERYDAY. Everything was clean, new and COMFY. They have everything prepared and everything was complete. The hotel provided complimentary afternoon tea for each night and you could order any drinks you like from the rooftop cafe. The drinks were amazing and they even provided some fruits. The view from the rooftop cafe was also amazing. We had an amazing time in the cafe. There were a lot of animals roaming around the ranch of the hotel and we got to touch feed and take pictures with all of them!!! It was THE MOST MEMORABLE part of the stay! There were rabbits goats lambs alpacas yak cows pigs. All of them were roaming around freely and we could take pictures and play with them! There were also another cafe and the other side of the ranch with very good views. The ranch is filled with multiple photo spots. They prepared a few huts with cute props for us to take pictures. At night, they prepared a tea making event for us to enjoy but we didnt have any time since we went to the ancient town that night. The Didis are surprisingly easy to be found even at 11pm. When we came back to the hotel they handed us each a cup of warm yak milk for a good night sleep. We slept so comfortably and the next day, we had our delicious breakfast and they were so considerate offering us a halal version of the breakfast!! And we also had our complimentary photoshoot with the ******* cultural outfits. It was very good and we got 5 pictures for free!! We requested for a late checkout but they couldn't do it since there are other people checking in the next day. However, they instead offered another complimentary afternoon tea session!!! After checking out, we leave our bags in the hotel lobby and they handed us each a goody bag filled with snacks!!! We played a little bit more with the animals and enjoyed our last few hours in the rooftop cafe for the last time! We were so sad leaving the hotel but surely we will come again!!!"

"We had a very pleasant stay. Driving here was easy, and parking was very convenient. The courtyard is full of flowers and plants, complete with cute cats. Sitting on the terrace in the evening to catch the breeze was so therapeutic. The room was spotlessly clean. The owner is extremely easygoing and recommended local hidden gems for us, helping us avoid quite a few tourist traps. It's not far from the South Gate of the Old Town—just a nice, leisurely stroll away. It offers a tranquil escape in the middle of the city, and we felt completely relaxed during our stay."

"Lovely hotel!!!! So convenient and easy to get around. The hotel is clean, the service is great, and everything about our stay was wonderful! The only thing I wouldn’t recommend is booking tours through the hotel, as they’re not really worth the price. We found much better options on Trip.com. Other than that, everything was great! Highly recommend! ✨"
