"I checked out a few options near Hankou Metro Station before finally deciding on this one. It's a few hundred meters from the subway, but taking a taxi is also quite convenient. Located inside a residential building, I figured it would be quiet at night. Although a bit dated, I loved the separation of the dry and wet areas in the bathroom. The room layout was great, and it was reasonably clean. What ultimately sold me on this hotel was the bed—and indeed, it was exceptionally comfortable for a sound sleep. The breakfast far exceeded my expectations: clean, fresh, and delicious 😋 My husband and I went to the morning market for local breakfast (”guozao”), but we couldn't get used to Wuhan's heavy, fried, high-carb foods 😭 so we rushed back to the hotel for fruit, vegetable salad, and plain congee. For three days, the dishes were never repeated and were replenished promptly. This is by far the best hotel breakfast I've had at this price point—I hope they keep it up! The staff were all very welcoming, and since I love tea, having easy access to bottled water was a huge plus for me!"

Maybe our external environment is not very good, there is no elevator and you need to climb the 3rd floor, maybe our decoration is not the style you like, maybe because we are located in the most prosperous commercial street in Wuhan, the night market downstairs is open until the early morning, and our sound insulation is not very good! But what we can guarantee is that the guest rooms are clean and tidy, the sheets, quilts, bath towels, towels are changed for each guest, and the normal use of smart, projection and other guest room equipment! The most important thing is to make you feel at home! We provide free butler service, all kinds of items for you to use at home, and unlimited natural mineral water, ice water in summer, and warm water in winter. We serve every guest who stays in our hotel with our heart, and are determined to make every lovely guest leave the hotel happily. "Environment: The hotel's location is excellent, with a bus stop right downstairs and a night market just outside. Jianghan Road Pedestrian Street is only a few minutes' walk away. It's not particularly noisy at night, so you can sleep well.
Service: The front desk staff were incredibly warm and welcoming. They upgraded my room and even helped me with my luggage. One night, I washed my clothes and forgot to hang them to dry. I remembered at 3 AM and went to the laundry room, only to find that the front desk had already hung them up for me! Since I was staying for two nights, the cleaning staff also proactively asked if I needed housekeeping."

Due to its convenient location, plenty of tourist attractions are located around the hotel, including the Yellow Crane Tower, East Lake and the banks of the Yangtze River, all just 20 minutes away by car. Guests are also just a ten-minute drive away from the Wuchang Railway Station.This Wuhan hotel has been around for more than half a century, but was closed for renovations between 2006 and 2010.Diners can enjoy a meal at the health-focused Zheng Yuan Chinese Restaurant or try food at the Guobin Western Restaurant. The hotel also offers a Taiwanese restaurant and a Western-style bakery.Guests looking to stay active can work out in the hotel gym, challenge a friend to a game of tennis or table tennis as well as cool off in the indoor swimming pool.

"Location: The location is superb! It's about a 6-minute walk to the North Gate of the Hubei Provincial Museum and a 15-minute walk to the South Gate (main hall), which is very convenient. It's also super quick to get to from the Hubei Daily Station metro exit, just 3 minutes!
Surrounding area: There are two restaurants right downstairs from the hotel. While they aren't must-try spots, the food is decent, so you can grab a bite right after getting off the train before heading to the exhibition.
Ambiance and Service: The environment has a great design aesthetic. The lobby offers self-service hot water and a complimentary snack souvenir. Check-in at the front desk was fast and thoughtful!"

Everything exceeded my expectations. The room was beautiful, with a lovely tea area that made it feel so peaceful and special. It was spotless, had great lighting, and every detail felt well thought out.
One day I needed an extra tea cup to have tea with friends, and the staff happily brought one. I also loved that there was a larger shared tea space downstairs where we could sit together, it was such a thoughtful touch.
The balcony views were stunning, the restaurant was excellent, the food was delicious, and every interaction with the staff was warm and welcoming.
Honestly, I can’t think of a single thing that could have been better. 10/10. I would stay here again without hesitation."

However, upon arrival, I was informed that Chairman Mao's memorial hall was under renovation. kebingThis was my first time staying at the Howard Johnson Pearl Plaza, and I was absolutely stunned the moment I checked into my river-view room. It truly offered a spectacular river view! Looking out, I could see the lush greenery of Hankou Beach and the bustling skyline of Wuchang Beach. Barges and cruise ships flowed endlessly on the river, creating a picturesque scene of the majestic Yangtze, just like something out of a dream. As night fell, the high-rise buildings along the riverbank lit up in a dazzling display of colors, absolutely breathtaking! I turned off the lights in my room, sat in front of the huge floor-to-ceiling window, and gazed at the magnificent nightscape, feeling as if I was part of it all.
Next time I visit Wuhan, I will definitely choose this hotel again because of its excellent location, clean and tidy facilities, and good value for money.

Anonymous UserThe hotel environment is great, right next to Liangdao Street and Huanghelou subway station, making dining and getting around very convenient. Our stay was quiet and comfortable, with semi-enclosed windows offering views of the Yangtze River, Jianghan Road, and Xiaogui Mountain. The rooftop restaurant even has a view of the Yellow Crane Tower. The facilities are comprehensive, with a laundry room and gym available. The front desk also has some small items for short-term use that you can just grab. The service was excellent too; they delivered snacks and drinks every day, and upon arrival, we were given a free travel guide. The hotel also has a surveillance scanning service, which made it feel very secure. Towels, slippers, and other amenities were changed daily. We initially booked for two days, but found it so comfortable that we extended our stay for another two days.

The room was pretty good. I stayed with my family for a few days. The hotel is right on the street, so it's super easy to catch a taxi. Just cross the road and you're at Yanjiang Avenue. The weather was lovely these past few days, perfect for a walk and watching the sunset. If you need anything during your stay, you can just ask the hotel staff. All in all, it was a good stay.

Guest UserThe hotel's overall ambiance is great, especially the sunset in the evening. However, the service needs improvement. For example:
1. I booked and paid for the room through Trip.com, and the reservation was confirmed. But upon check-in, I was told they couldn't find my booking. It took half an hour to get the room key, which was very frustrating, especially since the elderly and children in my group had been on a 6-hour train ride and couldn't rest in the room. The guests had already shown proof of their successful reservation. The hotel could have easily given us the room key first so we could rest, and then slowly dealt with the issue with the third-party platform. Instead, they made us wait at the front desk, and even with the lobby manager present, the handling was very unprofessional.
2. The hotel breakfast costs 98 yuan per person, which isn't cheap, but the variety of dishes and facilities don't match the price. For example: out of 8 hot dishes, 4 were staple foods (two pots of rice + two pots of noodles), and the other four were mostly vegetarian, leaving very few choices. The cereal area was served from a large basin, and we had to scoop it out with a thick wooden spoon, often spilling it outside the basin. The beverage area only had 3 types of flavored drinks, no freshly squeezed juices, except for one freshly squeezed watermelon juice hidden in a corner and only offered to members (if they specifically requested it). The yogurt was also served from a basin, meant for fruit salad, with no individual yogurt cups. There were also no condiments (sugar, salt, etc.) on the tables, and so on.
3. The room cleaning was also not thorough. Hair was on the bathroom floor when we left, and it was still there when we returned in the evening. We left a tag indicating that the bed linen needed changing, but it was not changed.

Must-stay for families with kids! My child absolutely loved the water park. The in-room hot spring was also great. Even though it was a holiday and crowded, everything was well-organized. The bedding was soft, and staff member 0040 was incredibly helpful, even assisting us with our luggage and taking us to the underground parking. We'll definitely bring the elders next time. This resort is highly recommended for hot springs in winter!

Service: Maintains the consistent service standards of Ascott Somerset apartments.
Facilities: I was worried it might be old, but I was very pleasantly surprised after checking in. The washing machine, fridge, kitchen, and tableware were all fully equipped, making it feel just like home.
As a Platinum member, my room was upgraded, the air conditioning was turned on in advance, and little gifts were prepared. This made for a very pleasant stay. Thank you to the staff.

Our family of five (three kids) stayed at Sky Island for three days, and we were absolutely blown away. The staff was incredibly friendly and went out of their way to help us with everything.
The resort is huge — so many activities and things to do that we didn’t even have time to try everything they offered. We spent a lot of time in the hot springs, and it was such a great way to relax and recharge. The service there was top-notch, and it felt very private and peaceful.
We also had dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and it was amazing — the presentation, the taste, the service, everything was high quality.
Our two-story room was super cozy, spacious, clean, and had no weird smells (which we really appreciated).
We will definitely come back again — not just once — and we’ll bring our friends with us next time!

This hotel was a random find, chosen for its good value for money, and it turned out to be pretty decent. The room amenities and facilities were very complete and worked well. The toiletries were particularly good; that conditioner really made my hair soft. The chestnuts at the entrance were quite tasty, just a bit pricey, haha. 😂 The turnip dumplings next door also looked okay, and the vegetarian ones were only six yuan. I got to try all these snacks during my trip to Yichang; the 'liangxia' (cold shrimp jelly) drink was also quite good. They also recommended I check out Erma Road, so I popped over and had a quick look – there are quite a few shops there, which was nice.
