We got a free room upgrade with an ocean view, and the water was incredibly blue in the afternoon. We could also catch the sunrise from our room, which was very clean. We ended up extending our stay for another day! The only downside was that all cars on the island have to park in a designated lot, and then a shuttle takes you to your building, which was a minor inconvenience.

We had a wonderful experience at Central Coast Sea View Hotel. The sea view room was absolutely beautiful, offering a peaceful and refreshing atmosphere, especially during sunrise and sunset. The room was very clean, well maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. A special thank you to the hotel for the lovely gift—it was a thoughtful gesture and truly appreciated. Overall, a memorable stay and highly recommended for couples looking for comfort, great service, and an amazing sea view.

the stay was pretty good overall, but the first room we checked in was moldy in some places, also some towels was slightly dirty, but they changed it the moment i pointed that out, the staff was really friendly and suggested other rooms to check in, they also let us check out a little later, since our flight was pretty late too, the breakfast wasn't bad, but the variety of food wasn't that big and mostly really oily

Facilities: Dated, from 2018. Cleanliness: I stayed in the Ocean View Ambassador room, and the cleaning has been very satisfactory so far. Environment: It's a family-friendly place, so with lots of people, some noise is to be expected. Service: The front desk was initially standard, everything was prepared for two people. After hearing we were staying three nights and that it was my birthday tomorrow, they arranged for Patrick, our Trip.com butler. He provided a range of itinerary services, saying to just let him know if I had any requests and he would meet them. Atlantis was a bit lively. The executive level was very satisfying; afternoon tea was better than the evening. Replenishing food was much faster than at other hotels I've stayed at. Patrick really made guests feel at home with a few things. 🥹 Next time, I hope my member benefits upgrade me to a higher floor ocean view suite! It would be great to experience a few different suites, yay!

I specifically chose this Hilton hotel because I was going to Wenchang to watch a rocket launch. The value for money was pretty good. If you're going to watch a rocket, make sure you know whether it's a commercial or national launch. Longlou Town and Dongjiao Town will have traffic control, and you'll need a reservation to enter. Commercial launches are in Longlou Town, which is very difficult to book. Although the hotel is a bit further away in Dongjiao, you can still get a distant view of the rocket launching. After booking, a butler called and added me on WeChat, recommending local food, attractions, and hotel facilities, and even arranging pre-booked photo shoots. Butler Lulu knew I was traveling with a child and recommended a family room. The decor was truly special, and there were astronaut suits to try on for photos. There are also many nearby attractions, including the hotel's mini-train, squirrel feeding, and various other fun activities. Although it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the beach, it doesn't diminish my fondness for this hotel. The photo shoot was particularly great. We could select photos immediately after, and the results were beautiful and efficient. Adding an extra photo was only 20, which is good value for money and left us with wonderful memories of our trip.

Overall experience: five stars! The room was spotless and airy, and all the toiletries and facilities were complete and worked perfectly. Even the hidden corners were thoroughly cleaned. The staff were friendly, helpful, and patient. The environment was also beautiful, making for a comfortable and peaceful stay. Highly recommend!

This hotel is located on Ocean Flower Island, which makes exploring the island quite convenient. The surrounding environment is lovely, and the hotel itself is massive, with many guests. This can make it feel a bit chaotic, and the front desk management could definitely be improved. Breakfast was decent but not very varied. The biggest issue with this hotel, however, is the room size. It's so small that two people can barely move around, and there's only one tiny stool with no other seating. You basically have to get on the bed as soon as you enter the room. There's no space to put clothes or luggage, which really impacted our stay. We originally planned to stay for two nights but ended up checking out after just one.

This is Wyndham's first hotel in Wenchang, and despite being 10 years old, it's incredibly well-maintained, like a gracefully aged grande dame. The lobby is grand and impressive, exuding an old-money elegance. The hotel offers exquisite afternoon tea, and the balcony is very spacious. Our butler, a handsome young man of Indian-Pakistani descent, was incredibly nice, always available, and incredibly responsive to all our requests. He truly delivered on the emotional value!

We had a pleasant stay at the InterContinental Haikou. The rooms were modern, clean, and comfortable, and the staff were helpful and welcoming. Overall everything was good, but the hotel’s park area definitely needs improvement, it feels a bit outdated compared to the rest of the property. The breakfast could also be better, both in variety and quality. Still, it’s a solid hotel with great potential if these areas are upgraded.

We stayed in a panoramic room, and the space was both clean and generously sized. You definitely pay for the view, and in this case it’s worth it—the scenery from the room is truly marvellous. Most essentials were provided, and the hotel grounds include several conveniences such as on‑site restaurants, a Starbucks, and a small tuck shop. There were, however, a few areas where the experience could be improved. The swimming facilities were disappointing. Although two pools were technically operational, neither felt inviting or photo‑worthy. One had been converted into a sand pit, and temporary barriers were set up everywhere to block day visitors, which created an eye sore. Construction further took away from the atmosphere. Breakfast offered a decent selection and was sufficient overall, though friends who had visited before mentioned that the spread used to be better. After a few days, you’ll likely find yourself eating more or less the same items. Communication could also be smoother. Having at least one staff member who speaks English—or an alternative text‑based communication option—would make the stay easier for international guests. The Sky Lounge, however, was comfortable and a pleasant place to relax. Dining inside the hotel isn’t particularly affordable, but not too bad for a hotel, and I would have appreciated a stronger seafood selection. Many guests seemed to opt for food delivery instead. Small in‑room additions like earbuds, toothpicks, and a notepad would also elevate the experience. Overall, Phoenix Hotel Sanya offers beautiful views and convenient on‑site amenities, but there’s room for improvement in facilities, dining, and guest communication.
