Romantic Hotels in Guizhou, China

This five-diamond hotel, listed on Ctrip's hotel ranking and one of the top hotels in Tongren, turned out to be incredibly disappointing! First, let's talk about the positives: the overall environment was indeed good. We stayed in the garden view building, and it offered great photo opportunities outside. The room facilities and equipment were fine, and there was plenty of hot water. However, there were just too many downsides! 1. When we booked, our first choice was a twin room. Since only the Suzhou-style garden twin room was available that day, we booked it. Upon arriving in Tongren, we took a taxi following the navigation, only to find a long flight of stairs at the hotel entrance with no bellhop in sight. It was hot, and we had two suitcases. I went up to call for help, and there was only one person at the front desk who said I had to wait. It was a peak season during a short holiday, so why weren't enough staff arranged? Did it seem like the occupancy rate was very low?! Okay, after struggling to carry our two suitcases up, suddenly there were two people at the front desk... Then the front desk staff started scanning our IDs. It turned out our Suzhou-style garden room was in a different area (Hilton Garden Inn)! Why wasn't this marked on the Ctrip homepage??? If it had been, I wouldn't have gone to the wrong place!! Upon arriving at the Hilton Garden Inn, they scanned our IDs again. Do we really need to scan them twice? 2. Consequently, the takeout we ordered in advance was delivered to the Fengqi front desk. They said they would send it to the Garden Inn. After waiting for over half an hour with no delivery, I called again to inquire. They said there was no one at the front desk, so I had to go down and get it myself. When I got there, I saw three people at the front desk. So, this is what 'no one at the front desk' means?? They then claimed the two other staff members had just returned. Yes, I must have such 'good' luck? 3. The booking included breakfast, Hanfu experience, and a boat tour discount, but none of this was mentioned during check-in. I had to ask about everything. Where was your service? 4. The handheld shower in the room was broken. Don't your engineering staff conduct regular room inspections? Is the MOD duty manager too idle? As a resort-style hotel with clear peak and off-peak seasons, are you just playing around by not conducting room inspections and repairs during the off-peak season? Does Hilton know that one of its mid-range hotels offers this kind of service? The first impression I got in Tongren was extremely bad! It ruined my entire mood for the trip! I am truly speechless!!!

Coming to this Dong village for Chinese New Year, I didn't even consider other places and chose this one without hesitation. It really didn't disappoint; it was absolutely stunning. Every evening there was a performance of the Dong Grand Song. Since we checked in on New Year's Eve, the hotel even arranged a New Year's Eve dinner and had handmade dumplings. For someone from the North, the dumplings might not be the absolute best, but being able to eat handmade dumplings in a southern village on New Year's Eve really showed the owner's thoughtful attention to detail.

Five stars, highly recommended! The cleanliness and quality of the Xisu Laichen Hotel were truly impressive. My trip to Guiyang was made even better by choosing Xisu Laichen Hotel; the experience was absolutely fantastic, earning it a full five-star review! As a traveler who values high-quality accommodation, this hotel's attention to detail completely exceeded my expectations. Every aspect, especially the decor, bed type, and hygiene, perfectly matched my preferences. The room decor is simple yet grand, free from unnecessary clutter. It features clean lines and soft color palettes, paired with high-quality furniture, making the overall space feel open and comfortable. Light-colored walls, natural wood flooring, and a few tasteful soft furnishings create an elegant yet cozy atmosphere. It's incredibly photogenic, and a wonderful place to relax both body and mind. The 1.5-meter king-size bed was absolutely wonderful. The mattress was perfectly balanced, not too soft or too hard, and the bedding was spotlessly white and incredibly fluffy. Lying down, I instantly shed all my travel fatigue. There was plenty of space to stretch out before sleeping, which led to excellent sleep quality, and I woke up feeling refreshed. Hygiene was impeccable, truly a 'benchmark of cleanliness.' The floor was spotless, and when I touched the tables, windowsills, and nightstands, there wasn't a speck of dust. Even easily overlooked corners like the back of the wardrobe and sofa crevices were perfectly clean. The bathroom's dry/wet separation design was practical, with no water stains on the sink or shower, and the toilet was clean and odorless. High-touch items like the remote control and doorknobs clearly showed signs of disinfection, making my stay feel incredibly safe and reassuring. Staff service was warm and attentive, and check-in/check-out was quick and efficient. The surrounding area also offers convenient transportation and dining options. With its simple yet grand decor, comfortable 1.5-meter bed, and exceptionally clean environment, the value for money is outstanding. I'll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Guiyang. I highly recommend it to everyone!

Staying at the Guofeng Hotel in Guiyang Huaguoyuan was an absolutely fantastic experience! The tatami king room had a wonderful traditional Chinese vibe, and the room itself was clean, tidy, and elegantly detailed. The location is super convenient, right near a shopping center, making it easy to shop and dine. The service was also very thoughtful; the front desk was responsive, and the environment was quiet and comfortable. It completely exceeded my expectations. It's perfect for both couples and solo travelers. I'll definitely choose this place again next time I'm in Guiyang!

The B&B has an excellent location with fantastic views from the room. The overall decor creates a very peaceful and serene atmosphere. The room was clean, just as I expected. The service was also very thoughtful; a driver specifically picked us up from the high-speed rail station, and upon arrival, someone helped carry our luggage upstairs to the room. I especially loved their complimentary coffee, black tea, and delicious, generous breakfast. It was a wonderful B&B experience, and if I ever get the chance to visit Dong Village again, I would definitely choose to stay here!

The hotel's environment and facilities are great. You can catch several performances directly from the viewing platform within the hotel. While the view might not be as good as the prime spots, the convenience of not having to rush around is a huge plus, especially for older guests. My elderly family member had a minor accident and got a little injured within the scenic area. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful, accompanying them to the hospital and assisting with the insurance claim. When they returned, the hotel even sent up some food to help them settle down. My elderly family member was absolutely thrilled! It's rare to find such exceptional hotel service. Thumbs up!

So far, this is the 3rd hotel we stayed in Tongren, i would definitely say, this is the best and so far for me and family. This JinJiang hotspring hotel really met international standard in terms of counter service (very polite and good attitude receptionist), and service at hotspring area deserves a thumbs up. The room is very spacious, nice interior and important - clean and neat. The water playground is definitely a good place for kids to have fun during summer holiday. I told the hotel desk that it was my actual birthday yesterday, guess what, they sent me a plate of grapes, so sweet of them. I would definitely come to this hotel next time when i am visiting my niece and nephew again.

The most delightful surprise during my stay in Guiyang was definitely this high-rise Sofitel hotel! The 55th-floor lobby offers an absolutely stunning view. My room on the 49th floor had panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows directly facing the Nanming River and the surrounding mountains. Waking up and drawing the curtains in the morning to see the sunrise painting the clouds a warm orange hue instantly brightened my mood. In the evening, watching the sunset, combined with the city nightscape and the illuminated Jiaxiu Tower, was simply breathtaking. The service was incredibly heartwarming. Janice from guest relations was all smiles throughout, proactively recommending local delicacies. And Lena at the front desk handled my check-in and check-out so quickly and efficiently. I felt completely at home the entire time, truly a fantastic and satisfying experience.

I found this hotel based on the ratings, and it ranked first. The cleanliness and environment were excellent, but I was surprised by the serious issues with the room amenities. First, the air conditioner from upstairs kept dripping onto the unit outside my room, causing a constant dripping sound that disturbed my sleep. I called security in the middle of the night, and they only resolved it after I asked them to cover it with a cloth. Second, there were three pieces of metal sheets exposed under the sink, posing a serious safety hazard. It's easy to scratch your legs while washing. I ended up scratching my arm while grabbing a towel (their towels were right under the sink). I informed security of the situation after they arrived, but no one contacted me until I checked out the next day. While the cleanliness was excellent, the service could be improved.

The hotel upgraded me to an executive suite for free. The facilities were complete and very clean, and the environment was tidy. It was very hot the day I arrived, and the staff brought over a fan, which I appreciated. The hotel also offers afternoon tea and light meals in the evening on the top floor. I'm very satisfied and will definitely stay at Kempinski again if I have the chance.
