Although this trip was planned for Jianglu, choosing Anantara for our layover in Guiyang was definitely the right decision. The environment is lovely, and the hotel has a distinct Thai feel. The buffet offered great value for money, and the breakfast was so extensive we ate until we were stuffed every time. Even with the holiday crowds, the service kept up well. I think when evaluating something, you also have to consider its price. For a hotel in a provincial capital during the May Day holiday, this performance at this price is absolutely worth a second visit.

AAnonymous UserAmbience: The room window overlooks a beautiful rice paddy field. The location is quiet at the end of the village, making it convenient for visiting Tang'an. Cleanliness: Clean, no odors. Service: Excellent. The included shuttle service is extremely convenient. Before your arrival, the customer service will provide recommendations for local food and attractions, as well as some travel tips. The breakfast is good, and the coffee is delicious. The first load of minibar items is free. It's a perfect place to relax and unwind; it's very relaxing.

HHuiziyanDecided to visit Guizhou for the Chinese New Year, so I booked this B&B early. The price was great, and all the accommodations on our Guizhou trip were fantastic. This particular B&B has an excellent location; it's just twenty or thirty steps down from the scenic viewpoint in the area. There's also a popular photo spot for travel photography right next to the house. We didn't have to get up too early the next morning, and since no one else was there, we spent half the day taking pictures. We only realized just before leaving that the guesthouse has its own viewpoint with amazing scenery. Our room was clean and tidy, and the view from the window was stunning. The owner was incredibly hospitable, helping us with our luggage, offering tangerines to our child, and even suggesting routes for us. When we came back late after taking photos one evening, I called the owner to ask for an extra pillow. He had just fallen asleep and was woken up, but he wasn't impatient at all. Many say that Qianjiang Miao Village is too commercialized, but exploring it at night, or early in the morning before the crowds arrive, and taking photos in Miao ethnic clothing is still quite enjoyable. The pictures below show the view from the guesthouse at night and in the morning.

GGuest UserTwo days ago, I went on a business trip to Kaili with my colleagues. We decided to stay in Qianhu Miao Village for one night, so the hotel was booked casually. But it really exceeded our expectations. My colleagues and I were very satisfied. Excellent service attitude: To be honest, service attitude is the soul of a homestay. It is really healing to be well respected and served when you are away from home. We started by booking the hotel. Brother Liu sent the address and told us the route to the hotel in detail. When we arrived at the place, there would be a special person to pick us up. From the door to the homestay, the brother would also explain to us constantly and wait patiently for us to take pictures. In the evening, the brother took us to the rooftop, where there were free rice wine and peach wine to taste (rice wine and peach wine were really delicious). The view of the rooftop was even more beautiful. The brother and sister had a very good attitude throughout the whole process, very careful, and a great sense of proportion. I was ”great, thank you, thank you ☺️” throughout the whole process. Hotel facilities: Objectively speaking, we booked a basic room type, so the house area was a little cramped, and the house facilities were not too new. But!!! Looking out from the facilities in the room, the scenery is really amazing! Open the window, the bright moon in the mountains, the breeze, thousands of bright lights ~ at that moment, I really felt that this trip was worth it. Wall! Crack! Recommend!

GGuest UserThis hotel is reportedly the best standard in the Fanjing Mountain scenic area. It's very close to the Fanjingshan East Gate. The river facing the hotel rooms is incredibly clear. At night, with the windows open, falling asleep to the sound of the river brought back memories of childhood nights in the countryside. The bridge over the river is a fantastic spot for photos; it's very picturesque, featuring traditional ethnic themes and artistic elements, combined with classic Chinese covered bridge architecture. From the room, looking out, the river, bridge, and ancient willow trees perfectly form a beautiful painting.

FFranticbugZhijin Resort is a peaceful retreat surrounded by beautiful mountain scenery. The rooms are clean, spacious, and designed for comfort, with many offering stunning views of the natural landscape. The resort has a calm, welcoming atmosphere, making it perfect for relaxation after a day of exploring. Staff are friendly and attentive, always ready to help. The dining options include both local and international dishes, which adds to the convenience of staying on-site. While it’s located a little outside the city center, the serene environment and fresh air make it well worth the stay.

GGuest UserThis hotel is a bit far from the Huangguoshu Waterfall scenic area, but you can enjoy views of Baling River Bridge from your room. The pool is quite photogenic, and the hotel offers a rich array of activities. In the afternoon, there's a rice noodle roll making experience, followed by goodnight desserts, a tea ceremony around a stove, and even a singer performing. Overall, the experience was great. As for minor drawbacks, there were a few issues. For instance, the sink faucet in the room was designed too high, the shower's overhead spray had very low water pressure, the light on the vanity mirror was faulty, and the bedside lamp plug was loose. These small details could definitely be improved. However, the staff were warm and proactive. Also, the parking lot is about a 200-meter downhill walk from the hotel. Only luggage carts are available for bags. If you're traveling with elderly guests who need to walk, I'd suggest providing a shuttle service that can transport people!

GGuest UserMy stay at Sofitel Guiyang was absolutely perfect, 10/10! First off, the hotel's location is excellent, making getting around super easy. All the amenities nearby are great for both sightseeing and business. What's more, before we even checked in, Janice from Guest Relations added us on WeChat and sent us a handy guide to all the local facilities. Every single staff member was polite and genuinely friendly. Cat also provided outstanding service. We felt so comfortable and at ease during our stay. I truly recommend it to anyone visiting Guiyang.

GGuest UserCame to Wanfenglin with my family and chose this incredibly beautiful guesthouse. We picked a second-floor room with a balcony, and the views from the bed were stunning. The bedding was excellent, ensuring a very restful sleep. The warm lighting in the room was a thoughtful touch, not harsh on the eyes. The room was clean and odor-free, and outside the window, there were endless green mountains. Opening the window, I felt like I could breathe so much easier. In the afternoon, we went to their backyard area to enjoy the scenery and swim – every photo turned out amazing. During the day, we chatted in the room and admired the mountain views, and in the evening, we enjoyed the breeze on the balcony while talking with family. The front desk staff were also very friendly and helped us plan our travel routes perfectly. This will definitely be our first choice when we visit Wanfenglin again!

GGuest UserA Dong Village Stay Impressed by Details and Care - Yunman Shanju Choosing Yunman Shanju for my stay in Zhaoxing Dong Village truly exceeded my expectations! I heard the new Yunnan B&B owner team took over in May and it had only been open for a little over 20 days. I was prepared to give it a try, but the result has truly moved me to write this review, the first time I've ever been so attentive and so touching! The service was truly exceptional: After booking on Ctrip, I added the owner on WeChat and sent him my itinerary. The owner called to confirm my arrival time as soon as I arrived. The high-speed train chartered car was already waiting. The B&B is also very close to the village entrance, so I didn't have to walk far with my suitcases. The owner and his family immediately helped with my luggage, instantly relieving my travel fatigue. We were even given a free room upgrade upon check-in! This pleasant surprise truly made me like him. Most importantly, the owner was genuinely willing to chat and engage with guests, going beyond the usual politeness. You could sense that he genuinely listened to their feedback and suggestions, a truly comforting gesture. The attention to detail in the food and accommodations is evident: Breakfast is warm and authentic: Mornings on the fifth-floor terrace, offering the best views of the entire village, beneath the eaves of the unique drum tower, watch the entire Dong village awaken in the morning light. Enjoying handmade noodles brought in from Yunnan by the owner, paired with sweet and juicy corn and free-range eggs grown in the local Dong village, the satisfying and refreshing feeling is enough to motivate me to finish my meal even after a long night. Afternoon tea: Their homemade bayberry soup, with its sweet and sour taste, is a welcome relief on a hot summer afternoon, far superior to street vendors! ”Living water” is the soul of the homestay: The most surprising thing is that the homestay is located next to an ancient well used by local residents for generations! The homestay uses the clear, sweet well water for tea, drinking, and even cooking. I used it to brew the Yunnan Pu'er tea the owner shared with me. It was incredibly flavorful, with a distinct aftertaste that even plain water had a natural sweetness. This experience of deeply connecting with local life was so unique and precious that I, someone who never drinks raw Pu'er, drank it for two days straight! A comfortable and stylish stay: Excellent soundproofing and good sleep: The rooms are well-insulated, ensuring a quiet, quality night's sleep even in the Dong village. Quality details are meticulously considered: My room had floor-to-ceiling windows and a small balcony, offering a wide view of the Drum Tower in the distance, perfect for daydreaming and relaxing. Even the toiletries, such as shower gel and shampoo, are the owner's own brand, not cheap, generic goods, making them incredibly reliable. The B&B's public areas are a treasure: The rooms and public areas are uniquely designed and decorated, both stylish and full of local cultural charm. The public area on the first floor, spanning over 200 square meters, offers a quiet space for reading, daydreaming, or making a cup of tea. When the owner is free, he'll sit down and personally brew tea with sweet well water. His Yunnan Pu'er, in particular, has a sweet, refreshing aftertaste that I still savor. An unexpected staycation: Guizhou's summers are hot. I had originally planned to explore extensively, but, aside from a visit to the Tang'an Rice Terraces, I ended up staying mostly at the B&B! Amazingly, I didn't feel bored at all. I admired the scenery from the terrace, sat in the stylishly designed first floor, brewed tea with sweet well water, read, and chatted. The guests who frequented the B&B were mostly Cantonese, which made it feel so welcoming, haha! This B&B itself offers a rich, comfortable, and stylish space that invites you to slow down. What impressed me about Yunman Shanju wasn't its luxury, but the genuine care and warmth, as well as its sincere respect and integration into local culture. It gave me a taste of what a B&B should be. Since I booked two rooms, my friend felt the same way! I'm speaking for her... Since there are two posts, I'll share more photos too.

RRanranaRanR.This guesthouse is located right next to the observation deck, offering fantastic views of the entire Xijiang Qianhu Miao Village. It's super close to both the observation deck and Wind-Rain Bridge No. 5, just over a hundred meters away. The room was very clean and had a big balcony with a great view and a hanging chair – it was so relaxing to just lie there and enjoy the scenery. There's also a bathtub in the room, which was perfect for a hot soak after a day of exploring! The photo spots in the lobby on the first floor were also lovely, with options like 'going on the roof to uncover tiles' (a traditional saying/activity, implying a high vantage point) and a scenic bed for photos, plus professional photography services. The staff were also very enthusiastic and helped with our luggage the whole time!
