Romantic Hotels in Gansu, China

Excellent stay. I came specifically for the Stargazer's Pavilion and expected the rooms to be old, but they were actually well-equipped and very comfortable. Every staff member was smiling. The Chinese restaurant offered great value for money and warm service. When I left, I had plenty of time, so I planned to wait for the bus. A staff member drove me to the station and told me to call him if the bus didn't show up, and he would take me to the city. I'll definitely stay here again when I bring my kids to Dunhuang, and I'll recommend it to friends.

The newly opened hotel has a good environment and facilities. I needed to catch a train early in the morning, and the hotel is near the West Railway Station; you can see the station from the window, but you have to take a taxi, which should only cost 10 yuan and take about 5 minutes. I originally booked another hotel in the same building, Wanrun Smart Choice, but when I arrived, they said there were no rooms available and they might not be able to vacate by noon. I checked the platform and saw the price had doubled, clearly meaning I had to cancel my booking myself. The hotel I'm staying at now is in the same building, and the price is about the same as when I booked. They asked if there were rooms available and even gave me early check-in. The difference in service is immediately apparent. I switched immediately.

We stayed in this hotel as the base to see the Colourful Mountains. The hotel is old which is ok but it is not as clean as many guests have described. There was hair in the shower and the bathroom is patched up. Also, I would not recommend this hotel for nonsmokers as we are because there is smoking in the common areas. The entire hotel including the rooms smell of stale smoke which have seeped into the carpets and furnishings. You constantly feel choked up with fresh and stale cigarette smoke throughout the entire stay. That said, this viewpoint may be our problem because we are visitors from a country that has banned smoking in enclosed public spaces and it is what we are accustomed to. On another note, the service and hospitality was excellent and we thank the hotel team for this.

The hotel design is outstanding but it is not easy to spend your life in practical. The room number in both at key card and in front of the room is difficult to read. The rest room have no place to hang your towel and cloths. The light in the room is very dim. The very well hotel design did not match with the paper cups they provided for drinking any drinks in the room. Ceramic mug is not too expensive to provide for guest to use as other hotel. The kettle should be cleaned up or replacing with new one. It don’t think it is expensive or there is many method to clean up this stain in the internet. Staff is helpful but very few only one person at a time. The way to the breakfast room is very complicated with no any sign. What I like most is breakfast room. Very relax deign and various food option.

The room was unexpectedly large, very clean, there was a parking lot, the facilities were well-equipped, it was convenient to go out to eat, the front desk also helped to burn hot water, and the service was very warm.

Yellow River Yinran is a very nice quality hotel. It is very artistically designed (see photos). The reception staff were helpful, and in particular, the dining room staff were friendly in assisting a non-Chinese speaking guest with food allergies! The bed was comfortable, the room with a view onto the Yellow River. I would stay there again.

This stay was absolutely fantastic! From the moment I stepped through the door, the staff warmly greeted me. Check-in was efficient, and they even provided helpful tips for nearby attractions and restaurants. The room was spotless, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the amenities were comprehensive, including the large projection screen, which made for a truly relaxing stay. Breakfast was plentiful and included fresh fruit. The location is fantastic, a 5-minute walk from the subway station, making it incredibly convenient. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in the area!

This hotel just opened in May of this year. Its facilities and smart rooms are more modern than typical hotels. The rooms are spacious and bright, with new furniture (though there's a slight whiff of new furniture). The toilet is smart, the bedding is clean, dry, comfortable, and snug, and the washbasin is external, with separate wet and dry areas. Unfortunately, there's no place to hang clothes or towels in the shower. The parking lot is spacious and equipped with charging stations, making it particularly convenient for self-driving travelers. The hotel's worst feature is breakfast. Perhaps due to the high number of guests during the holidays, the staff are too few. Tables are littered with used dishes that haven't been cleaned promptly. Plates left dripping from the cupboards and even chipped bowls (what if you cut your lip?). Dishes aren't served promptly, and the self-service plates on the kitchen table are often empty. It took several minutes to get a bowl of noodles (eventually, I had to give up). For the first time, I've seen a hotel serve eggs—hard-boiled eggs (which some greedy guests couldn't leave with). No fried eggs. As I was about to leave, I saw tea eggs being served. There are many guests staying in the hotel, few waiters, food is not supplied in a timely manner, and the restaurant management is chaotic.

It’s a dreamlike feeling and the wilderness experience is great! When staying in the wilderness, the first thing is to look at the scenery. The scenery of the desert hills is not to mention. Although it is at the foot of the mountain, it is still refreshing. It’s also great to take photos in an open space. They gave us guidance on how to take pictures of the starry sky and provided a mobile phone holder. It was great. PS. If you come here, be sure to ask the housekeeper or the boss for a candlelight lantern (the store will provide it for free). The atmosphere for taking photos is great. Got it In terms of meals, we ordered a barbecue from the store and ate on the terrace of the room (four people can sit on it, and if more than four people eat on the sand below the terrace)
