Thanks to the tour groups overbooking the west wing I was put into a twin suite room and discovered room service at the Dalai La. Having had weeks of Dahl and rice and noodles, it was great to binge on pizza and burgers. Internet was a bit intermittent on the 5th floor but the room is quieter than those facing the courtyard in the west wing.

In my personal opinion, this is one of the absolute best hotels in Kathmandu. I have stayed here a few different times and every single time. It has been absolutely incredible. The rooms are immaculate and the beds are the most comfortable beds. I’ve slept on in Nepal. The sheets and the blankets are so soft and comfortable. The shower and the bathroom is immaculately clean. The heated toilet seats are definitely a bonus. The service is beyond incredible. The Internet is really fast compared to most hotels in Nepal. And the restaurant is pretty solid. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Nepal.

This website said that breakfast was included, but in reality, that was not the case. It is located in the downtown area of Thamel, so it is very convenient for shopping and eating out. Also, it is less than 10 minutes walk to the long-distance bus stop to Chitwan or Pokhara, so it is recommended for those who plan to go there. However, even though you will probably stop by the room, it is very lively and noisy during the night. It may be difficult for those who prefer quietness. The room is clean and the staff is very friendly.

The mattress and pillows had very bad smell like they had not been replaced for a couple of years. The food in Zing cafe at the lobby was just so so. The plastic table covers generally full of food debris without frequent changing. During the 7-day stay, the service at front desk, restaurant and for our room however was overall up to the standard of a 5-star hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located about 6 kilometers from Kathmandu International Airport, a 15-minute taxi ride if traffic is not heavy. Every staff member was incredibly nice and friendly, treating guests with great hospitality. Their genuine smiles were truly touching and memorable. The hotel is clean, and the rooms are small but comfortable. The Nepali breakfast was delicious. The gym and swimming pool are spacious. Overall, I had a wonderful trip.

I have been on business trips in Nepal for two years and finally found a hotel that suits me. Hotels here are either too expensive or too dirty and messy. People can fall out of the small beds. The single beds here are 1.35 meters long, which is great. There is also a very beautiful garden here. It is so great to talk about business and drink tea. In the past, I felt very awkward to meet clients in the hotel and talk about things in the room. Now it is much better. The garden is beautiful and quiet, and it is very comfortable to talk about things. The owner of this hotel is also very good. The hot water is very powerful and the water pressure is very high. It is very comfortable to take a hot bath. The main reason is that the hot water in the hotel I stayed in before was too uncomfortable. The wifi of this hotel is also very good. I asked the owner and he said that the internet fee is more than 2,000 RMB per month.

The front desk service is very good and answers all questions. The room is clean and tidy, quiet at night, and within walking distance of the Art Museum. The hotel is located in the Thamel area, and the surrounding service facilities are complete. It's just that the Thamel area is crowded, the ground is uneven, and there is a lot of dust. Everything else is good. Recommended.

Wonderful stay! The hotel is perfectly located, making it easy to explore the area on foot.
The family who manages the place is absolutely lovely — warm, welcoming, and always helpful.
The rooms are comfortable and spotless, and the rooftop terrace is a great spot to relax or enjoy a meal at the end of the day.

滞在中ずーっと、気持ちよく過ごせました。
ナガルコットにはマウンテンビューのホテルは沢山ありますが、近くの山が見えるという意味のマウンテンビューです。
ですが、こちらのホテルは全室がヒマラヤ山脈に向いてるヒマラヤビューです。
この差は大きいです‼️
私が見た限り、完全に前に抜け感のあるヒマラヤビューは、ここのホテルと、両隣りくらいなものでした。
もちろん、他のホテルも、屋上に上がったりすればヒマラヤビューになるのでしょうが、部屋のベランダにあるイスに座り、コーヒーを飲みながらヒマラヤを眺められるというのは、他にはそうそうない環境だと思います😊

好みもあるとは思いますが、味付けも、辛すぎず、強すぎず、ちょうどいいと思いました。好みをちゃんと聞いて下さるので、キチンと伝えたら、尚好みに近づくと思います。
朝食は、満室でない限りコンチネンタルブレックファストです。
満室の時のみビュッフェスタイルになるそうです。
お湯のパワーは問題なし。
エアコン設置なので、寒くても暑くても問題なし。
冷蔵庫はありませんが、キッチンで預かってくれます。
以下、少し気になる点はありますが、そんなこと大したことじゃないと感じるくらい、他の要素が素晴らしかったです❣️

The staff were wonderful and the view was amazing.
I had a comfortable stay throughout.
There are many hotels in Nagarkot with mountain views, but this most ”mountain view” mean ”a view of the nearby mountains”.
However, this hotel has Himalayan views, with all rooms facing the Himalayas.
The difference is huge!
As far as I've seen around Nagarkot, only this hotel and the two on either side offer a completely open Himalayan view.
Of course, other hotels also offer Himalayan views if you go up to the rooftop, but being able to sit on a chair on your room's balcony and gaze out at the Himalayas while sipping coffee is a rare experience.
It was truly a wonderful stay!
The restaurant was also delicious.
I understand that tastes vary, but I thought the seasoning was just right—not too spicy or too strong. They really listened to our preferences, so if you let them know, they'll be able to tailor it to your taste.
Breakfast is continental unless the hotel is fully booked.
Only then does it switch to buffet style.
There are no problems with the hot water power.
There is air conditioning, so it doesn't matter if it's cold or hot.
There is no refrigerator, but they will store it in the kitchen.
The following are some minor concerns, but they were so great that these didn't seem like a big deal!
I'd like to express my sincere gratitude to the hospitable staff.

- The bed is soft, so if you're staying in a double room, you might notice your partner turning over in your sleep.

The breakfast was good and you had to pay for it separately. I will stay in this hotel again next time. The hot water is very helpful. Qiang Lei recommends this hotel
