Pet Friendly Hotels in Oita Prefecture, Japan

The location is very convenient - close to the station and the bus terminal. The staff is friendly and polite. The room was clean (it was very small, but it was enough for me, because I was alone), the view from the window was pleasing) Cleaning was done once a day (with replacement of yukata, towels, toiletries and trash removal). Three onsen - on the 1st, 3rd floors and on the roof. I visited two - on the roof (it is VERY hot, but it was still great! Photo No. 2) and on the 3rd floor (it is also essentially in the open air, not as hot and also great, photos No. 3 and 4). Reservation of the time to visit the onsen was upon check-in (plus from a certain time all onsens worked as public, with free access). P.s. The local cats are adorable! 😊

Price wise with three big onsen in Yufuin area. Really big room of this stay and fair food. Got three bottle of water from owner after we comes out from onsen. Interesting, and a little bit sad that only foreigners in the lobby dinner space include the staffs.

I had a great stay. The owners are super lovely and will go out of their way to help you. I highly recommend the breakfast and dinners, they were great for big days of hiking and convenient as there aren't too many food options up in the mountains. The train carriages have a large sleeping area and a connected large room to store your things or just to hang out. Yes the pillows are like a bag of rice but it's part of the experience! Great place to stay and great value.

The hotel is beautiful, the room has a hot spring, in addition you can book another hot spring for family use. It is recommended to stay two days to enjoy the hotel itself. Breakfast included, was service, lots of food, the whole table, staff super nice. It is a bit troublesome to get in and out of the hotel, to call a taxi, around 1000yen, several people share is ok. if you wanna bike there, it is almost impossible because there are some hills in between the hotel and the town. The only drawback is that the hotel has no shuttle service and is a little expensive. But the environment is beautiful, clean, good service.

Lovely authentic Japanese house in beautiful country side. The owner is a nice man who speaks good English and takes good care of the house. In addition to the shared bathroom, kitchen and living room, that there are 3 rooms with futon beds, separated by a thin paper wall. Each room can host 2 to 3 guests. If rooms are full, you can hear everything as if there was no separation. I could literally hear people whispering. The owner offered me to use a scooter for free during my 2 days stay, which is awesome. There are some nice hikes to do in the area. The hike along the river to the Inukai JR station 15km away was amazing (there are closer JR stations). You'll love this place if you are looking for an authentic experience in a quiet rural setting.

The accommodation is clean and the facilities are five-star, making it very suitable for families with children. However, younger children may need some extra care. The only drawback is that transportation is slightly inconvenient; driving is recommended. There is a kitchen with complete cooking utensils. Providing bicycles for guests to go down the mountain to shop would be even better.

The rooms are spacious and bright, and the staff are all very friendly and approachable. The hot springs are also excellent, with both indoor and outdoor options. The hotel's location is super convenient for shopping, making it a quiet oasis in a bustling area. Although breakfast is simple, it's absolutely delicious. It's definitely a hotel I'd recommend! 👍👍👍

The hotel is located near the center of Yufuin, making it very convenient for both JR and car travel. I drove, and there was parking right outside the hotel. The staff provided directions and explained the hotel facilities upon check-in. The room had an old-school Japanese feel upon entering. There were two outdoor patios for drying clothes or letting the children play. After checking in, we booked a time slot for a private bath. It was perfectly located right next to our room. However, the water was too warm, and neither my friend nor I enjoyed it. We then switched to the public baths, which were very satisfying. 👍🏻

I was surprised to find this hotel online. The service was excellent and attentive, the environment was pleasant, and each room had its own private room for dinner and breakfast, both of which were exquisitely prepared. Enclosed by nature, the rooms have both indoor and outdoor hot springs. In winter, you can enjoy the onsen in your room, which is covered for rain protection. In summer, you can enjoy the warmth and comfort of the sun. Each room offers ample privacy. The service was excellent. A car was available to pick you up in front of JR Yufuin Station, and the return trip would also be to the station.
