I saw some negative reviews online and was a bit worried, but my actual stay was a pleasant surprise! The room was generally very clean and had everything I needed. Getting a private bathroom for this price is fantastic, as I'm getting older and hostels just don't cut it anymore. I accidentally booked a smoking room, but there was no smell of smoke, and the room even had an air purifier. All the equipment worked well. They provided a full set of toiletries, including shower gel and disposable slippers. The front desk service was also good, though not absolutely perfect (for example, the cups were dirty). Still, I was genuinely impressed – excellent value for money!

The first time I stayed in a pet-themed hotel, I was worried about hygiene issues such as hair at first, but I stayed for two days and the hygiene was very clean. I didn’t see the worrying things. The room was separated from wet and dry. This was very happy. The room was one bedroom and one living room. The space is oversized. The bedding is also very comfortable to sleep barrier-free, all aspects are very clean and tidy, the surrounding facilities are also very complete, subway, bus, very close

The customer service is quite patient. It is close to the scenic area of Arashiyama and takes about 15 minutes to walk. It is clean, tidy and comfortable. However, unlike other hotels, this hotel requires check-out before 10 o'clock, so please pay attention. Overall it is a comfortable hotel

Stayed for eight nights in a duplex suite. I'm including some indoor photos of this room type for those interested, as other users have already shared plenty of pictures of the hotel's public areas.
Despite being called a 'duplex,' it's actually a single-story room, but it is genuinely spacious. The ceiling height in the old building is impressively high, which didn't feel uncomfortable at all. Both the interior and exterior of the hotel are well-designed. The only quirk with the suite is a door in the bedroom that opens directly into the hallway, leading right to the gym. The bed by the window, in the twin room, faces a wardrobe with a mirror. Underneath the other bed, there's some kind of square opening, like an escape hatch or something... Anyway, I didn't sleep well the first night because of it, but I adapted later, haha. I was probably just too tired to overthink it!
I was initially worried about noise, but aside from the occasional sports car outside, the building itself is incredibly quiet. Once you enter the individual hallway in the old building, it's silent. The gym was right next to me, but it caused no disturbance whatsoever. Guests generally seem quite considerate, with no excessive noise.
The facilities are decent. There are two bathrooms, and housekeeping is prompt, provided you hang out the 'please clean' sign, haha. The laundry service is a bit slow; it takes until the next day for items to be returned.
Dining is also good. We didn't opt for breakfast but paid for it once – I recommend the Japanese option. We also tried the Italian restaurant in the hotel, which was acceptable. The coffee downstairs became my daily hydration; it's convenient, and the lobby always has a lively, youthful atmosphere from morning till night.
The service is pretty good too; English proficiency is excellent. I initially considered staying at some traditional luxury hotels for a few days, but I really love the Karasuma area. I'll likely return to Ace next time. The suite price is also more acceptable compared to places like the Ritz, especially since we usually stay for longer periods and prefer not to switch hotels mid-trip.
The hotel faces the beach, the weather is good, you can see the sunset in the room, while taking a bath and watching the sunset, very positive!
Dinner and breakfast are rich in content. Suuxi roast is provided for dinner. Every time the staff is used up, they will also change to a new pot.
However, wheelchair people are more inconvenient. The ground reception has to walk the stairs to the first floor to have a lift. The staff will also be very enthusiastic to help carry the luggage to the first floor. You need to pay attention to this when booking.
This hotel is on the mountain, and it is a single house for one person, so the indoor space is very large, so the outdoor temperature is also low, and there may be bugs in the house. (The hotel carefully prepared insecticide)
Indoor facilities include a kettle, air conditioning, refrigerator, TV (free channels for children), stereo. There is also a cupboard on the wall? There are several sets of tea sets inside. There is no washing machine, there is a beverage machine not far from the door, surrounded by deserted people, no supermarket convenience store.
Ctrip seems to show no wifi, but I actually found that there is.
Note: The traffic is very inconvenient. Out of the hotel is the mountain road (motorized lane), no one walks, no street lights at night, passengers do not rent a car to walk, it is recommended to stick to the roadside to walk on the right.
The nearest bus stop is sugio, in the east of Gotham City, about 1 km away, and it takes 15 minutes to walk. Sugisan is a village with several families. There are few bus classes, and there are three classes a day. The earliest class is 6:20, the second class is more than 12 noon, there is another class in the evening, but it is difficult to come back at night, it is recommended to go out at 6:20 in the morning. The latest bus to come back is the north exit of JR Gaoju Station, and it was missed at 3:55 in the afternoon.
The nearest bus stop to the north is at the foot of the mountain. The Lushan Shrine in Guigang City (the red leaves in autumn are said to be not bad. I live in April with cherry blossoms. Look at the picture). The distance is 4 kilometers and it takes an hour to walk. If you miss the bus from Gaoqian at night, you can consider walking up the mountain from Guigang.

Lovely inn with onsen to soak. 3-5 minutes walks to supermarket nearby. Many restaurants in walking distance. Comfy futon, green tea set, and Japanese pajamas also available in room.
KKaciThere was no evaluation when booking this hotel, and there was no room photo. There was a small courtyard photo. Looking at the atmosphere, I liked the Japanese-style courtyard. I actually found that it was completely different from my imagination. In fact, it was the old house I lived in. It was very old and had two floors. The yard is very small and can be ignored. This price is suitable for many people. It is not cost-effective for our family of three. It is disappointing.
