Pet Friendly Hotels in Hokkaido, Japan

This hotel is not recommended if not by car. It is far from the main ski areas. But their service is nothing to say. The shuttle buses once an hour. The rooms are super clean, the scenery is nice, very quiet, good luck and you can see foxes. The staff are very patient and have questions and answers. I have a little problem in the itinerary. They all helped us book the car and pick us up. If I drive, I will definitely come back.

I would like to share a few words with you about our feeling of coming back to your Park Hyatt Hanazono hotel from 29/3/2024 to 3/4/2024. We are beginners of skiing, therefore, our first choice is a ski-in and ski-out hotel. Therefore, last year we came to your hotel and we came back again for further improvement of our skiing. We travelled a long way from the airport to your hotel for almost over 3 hours. However, we didn't receive a warm welcome from your hotel by the time we got out of our car. By the time we checked-in, the handling time took much longer than I expected, maybe we all felt tired after long travelling and wanted to go up to our room. Another guest who was sitting next to me seemed to complain about your service to another staff.. When we arrived at our room, only 3 mandarins were put on the table to welcome us but they did not look very attractive. Next morning, the breakfast was as good as last year, because nothing more had changed. But again, not very welcoming. Our dishes were piling up on the table long before they were taken away. That was not the case last year. We asked guest service to fold up the sofa bed as we wanted it to be more spacious. However, I called several to get it done when we came back from skiing in the evening. But we clearly said we could do it when we were out in the daytime. We booked 2 adults and 1 child, however, we could only find 3 adult clothes for onsen. We called guest service to provide us with child cloth for onsen. However, after tidying up, they provided us with another 3 sets of clothes for onsen again. So, my daughter wore oversized clothes to the onsen. It was not like this when we first came here last year. Luckily, on the third day, we met a new and young manager during breakfast, we received a warm welcoming smile for the first time. We chatted for a while and my daughter felt happy with him. Last year, my daughter made some friends here with your staff and learnt some Japanese from your staff. That made her like the Japanese culture and language. Ironically, after folding up the sofa bed, they mistakenly mixed up my daughter white colored soft toy - cinnamoroll - with the bed sheets for the laundry. Luckily, maybe with the help of the young guy, we found it back. My daughter was so delighted, thanks for all your efforts, but however, the soft toy had been shrunk by the laundry machine. The inner tubing was one of our favors in Park Hyatt Hotel, however, it looked obscenity and did not match with the natural scenery and the well-designed architecture surroundings at all. It looked like a facility in a developing country. Next Easter holiday was a late holiday, maybe no more snow for skiing. Originally we had planned to come again with whole families of six for skiing. Maybe it is high time for us to look for another ski-in ski-out hotel, though I have promised the young guy to meet him next year.

The room was very good, large and equipped with simple kitchen facilities, and the view was great👍🏻. The hotel does not have a bus to the airport, but you can take a bus to the bus station near the hotel and arrange a car to pick you up. Remember to email the hotel in advance, and the hotel staff will respond quickly. Don't think about walking from the bus station to the hotel with your luggage, one is that it is very far, the road is very slanted, and it is wet and you can't pull the luggage in winter. The hotel has buses to various scenic spots in Abashiri, which is very convenient and must be praised! The food is average, it can only be said to be okay, not good. There are not many people in the hot spring, and there are some fallen objects in the outdoor pool. I don't know what it is, but it should not be dirty. The location is relatively remote, suitable for transition.

The buffet at this hotel is the most exquisite, tasteful and seafood-rich of the ones I have ever eaten. Most people who come to this high-class hotel are looking forward to tasting the seafood that has just been brought from the Sea of Okhotsk. Therefore, shrimps and shellfish have more sashimi and are very fresh. Other mixed vegetables, tempura, fresh soup noodles, ice cream, etc. are also exquisitely delicious. However, there is not much cooking here, and people who can't eat raw, cool dishes may be worthless to stay here. In addition, this is a high-class hotel that is not tall but tastes good. For example, the room is not big, but the tatami is a small collapse in front of the window. There is a telescope, which is specially used to sit or lie down and watch birds. In the morning when the tide ebbs, the herons are looking for food at the bottom of the lake. It is still very happy to sit on the tatami and see the birds finally catch the fish. For example, there is a bookshelf in the lobby, with a variety of picture books, poems and books about the Okhotsk Sea (Japanese), magazines, you can bring back to the front desk to see. The hotel is completely surrounded by nature. There are no so-called tourist attractions around. There are very few people. Apart from watching nature, fishing, cycling, hot springs, playing table tennis and billiards at the hotel, there is nothing else to do. If you are lucky, you can meet Hokkaido red foxes, eagle and other wild animals while walking in the nearby Nature Centre. There is a small department selling local products. The nearest convenience store is about 7 kilometers away from the commissary and there is very little public transportation. If you don't drive, buy something you need and come over. The hotel staff's service was excellent, with 4 points because the hotel seemed to be less suitable for foreign tourists. I use Japanese to communicate, so the problem is not big, but if it is in English communication, various introductions may be omitted. The Chinese marked on the coffee machine is also automatically translated, very strange.

When you come out of Noboribetsu Station, there is a small parking lot opposite, and there will be free minibus pick-up. After arriving at the store, she took the initiative to help with the luggage, there were welcome refreshments, and introduced the hotel. The girl's English was not very good, but she worked very hard. It can be seen that it is a little old, but it is operated very carefully. There is also a telescope in the room, which is convenient for stargazing. The room I booked does not have a bathroom, but it doesn't matter if there is a hot spring. Basically, all the supplies are available, even sanitary napkins. The hair dryer has a special shape, but it is too noisy. The public hot spring is good, and there is a place where you can lie down and watch the sea foam. The private hot spring is not recommended, there is no scenery. There are free desserts in the afternoon, juice in the morning, 24-hour tea and coffee, and ice cream and fruit after the hot spring in the evening. It can be seen that they are attentive. The dinner is very rich, and they also work hard on the shape, but the taste is very average, and it is full. There are no shops around, so if you are afraid of being hungry at night, just eat more 😂 The service is very polite, and there is also a big dog in the store, which is very cute with a bold body and a small heart. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is very comfortable. I think it is suitable for doing nothing. It would be perfect if the food taste could be improved.

The hotel has a certain age, but it is not old. The door lock does not lock automatically. You need to lock it with a key when you go out. The uncle at the front desk took the trouble to explain this, and also explained the location of the restaurant and bathing area, usage hours, etc. He was very professional and enthusiastic. There is no charge for the parking lot here. The room I was given was a Western-style room with a large area. There was no smell in the room and the cleanliness was ideal. The air conditioner can adjust the heating and cooling modes by itself, which is a very good setting. The hotel price includes breakfast and dinner. It is held in the buffet style at the same restaurant. The food is mainly Japanese style. This may be because the hotel is mainly locals. There are 3 indoor and outdoor pools in the bathhouse, but there are also many people using it. There will be less people in the bath later. The hotel is located on a mountain, and the nearest convenience store is also at the bottom of the mountain. Fortunately, there is a store in the lobby where you can buy drinks. If you need to visit the Shiretoko Five Lakes in the morning, this hotel is very convenient. The price of the hotel is very affordable in terms of hot spring hotels. It is very Good stay experience.

We stayed in the annex! It was a stylish building with an old-fashioned design. The interior was old, but there was a fire tv in the room, so we were able to watch YouTube and movies! For breakfast, side dishes (which changed daily?) were already on a mini tray, and we could help ourselves to the rest! Everything was delicious! Thank you very much!
