The location is close to the airport, and the lunch and breakfast buffets are diverse. Special praise should be given to the restaurant service staff, who are very friendly and responsive to all requests! Also tried the hotel massage, very relaxing! Recommended for travelers who want to experience a different Indian style, very satisfied!
Check in was smooth and quick. I was escorted to my room. The room was well appointed, clean and house keeping did a good job. The hotel took care of an issue with slightly faulty bathroom faucets as well. Overall, a nice stay.
Lovely hotel in a great location. It's a historic property which means some parts of the room could do with a little refresh. Overall stunning bedrooms with good character. Staff were super helpful and friendly.
This is a lodging in the southern part of Kolkata. While the metro construction around the area shows India's development, there are rows of shacks. There is a shopping center called Acropolis nearby, which also has a food court. The rooms are spacious and clean. Please note that the mattresses are hard. Although 1,200 yen is on the expensive side for a dormitory, it was worth it as breakfast was included (and there are few places to eat nearby).
Booked this hotel through Ctrip. From the surprise at the beginning to the surprise later, I was glad to book this hotel.
There are no luxurious facilities here, but the imprint of time flows everywhere.
It has the memory of this city and witnesses the history of British colonialism.
Meals may not be grand, but each one is carefully crafted and masterpiece.
The guests in the hotel are from all countries, or the whole family is on vacation, or come here to write ...
Next to the Indian Museum, Victoria Memorial ...
If you are traveling to Kolkata, be sure to stay at this hotel. i
Our stay was very pleasant and the location is the best. The rooms are also clean and the staff are very helpful. I completely enjoyed my stay and i recommend everyone to stay at revett when in darjeeling.
The location is just awesome withcafes all around, clear streets and it is close to everywhere. You can just wander the streets in the evening to find a suitable place fir snacks & dinner. The standard room is compact, but the location makes up for everything. Awesome stay.
Desolate location, hotel is on the second floor, rooms are different sizes, no hot water and the plumbing is outside. We paid for the full day but only checked in around 3:30am. He started calling us just 6 hours later at 9:30am asking us to check out by 10am or pay the extra day charges. Water is not good here.

GGuest UserI had a wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and humble staff who made me feel right at home. The cleanliness of the hotel was top-notch, and the rooms were spacious, comfortable, and impeccably maintained. The highlight of my stay, without a doubt, was the food. Every meal I had was absolutely delicious, and the room service was prompt and attentive. It truly exceeded my expectations. Overall, my experience was fantastic. A perfect blend of great service, comfort, and amazing food—I'll definitely be returning!
GGuest UserThe property appears maintained below par may be because of less flow of funds. The entry road is very narrow and shabby looking. The reception area needs lot of revamp, also the room decor seems so so but needs careful touch up specially with lighting gadgets, replacement of torn curtains and upholstery including holed cushion and intercom, widened gap between the door and the floor to be attended immediately, loitering of couple of stray dogs in the property gives negative impact on the guests. May be the pond in the center could be more attractive if decorated well with guests being allowed to do boating in it after conforming all safety protocols. Behavior of the property staff was very amicable, down to earth and much obliged. Names of shri chanchal, shri pint u mishra & shri ujjwal deserves a special mention. Food served at lunch n dinner were homely kind of and tasted well, besides being reasonably priced. However the complimentary breakfast offered at the property lacked very much in variety and did not host buffet. In a nutshell, our stay of 3 fly members, for 3 nights w. E. F. 11. 03. 2022 (saturday) at the property was within budget and pocket friendly.
GGuest UserRoshnai is a good place to stay for budget travelers. A small place with heritage looks but falls short when you actually visit. The rooms are good but can be improved in cleanliness. The garden with plenty of flowers (Dahlia) makes it very attractive on arrival.
The location is excellent as the Sonajhuri haat is just outside this place.
Folk music (Baul geeti) by professional singers held at night is really great. And the tribal dancers at the haat are excellent to see and women willing join them and enjoy.
Good for 1 to 2 days stay. but can't be called a Resort.
Food at the restaurant is good.
for going around for sightseeing one can avail the Totos available in the vicinity or the hotel can arrange.
GGuest UserThe location is good, away from the crowd. It is about 10 km from santiniketan biswa bharti so it is best suited for those who have their own vehicle. There is ample parking space and a dorm for drivers. It is not the typical hotel. It is actually a residential complex with 31/32, 4 storey buildings. Many of them are privately owned. The rooms are quite small and the balcony is even smaller. There is no lift in any of the buildings so it might get a little difficult for senior citizens. The exteriors are nicely decorated. The staff is very polite and efficient. The panthashala restaurant is decently priced.
GGuest UserMy fiance and my parents stayed for 2nights. The place was mesmerizing in it's beauty, premium in it's build, professional and amiable in service and tasty and filling in food. The service person shalim, dawa, suvarna, mukesh all were attentive of our needs and gave quick service with a smile. We walked the entire gardens till the factory and the walk was secure, nature deep and peaceful. Mr. Choudhary from the ch-among tea factory gave us a detailed tour of the plant. I went during holi 2023 so the tea bushes had not been sprung so anyone who wishes to see tea leaves in full growth, april-july is a good time. I will never forget my stay there. Thanks ch-among chiabari team!
GGuest UserThe host was extremely gracious and welcoming. The homestay itself is very beautiful and we'll maintianed plus under budget. The rooms were neat and clean. This homestay is near to kalimpong market and all other sight seeing places.
