Beautiful building combining modern and old architecture, small but clean room with facilities and amenities (even a big bottle of body cream!), superb view to the river and Parliament even from bed (ask for the rooms with balcony, it's a plus!). Can't comment about breakfast because we didn't have
Great Property. I liked the room, very spacy and it has a desk. Clean and quiet too. Breakfast was nice and it's in a great location. Supermarket, metro, tram, bus directly outside the building.
Only thing that could be improved is the gym, it's mostly cardio. But you can go to ”4% Candy gym” next door, it's good and they have daypass for a reasonable price.
Excellent location, right in the city center, and surprisingly quiet despite being street-facing. The room was clean, spacious, and quiet. It featured a shower, complimentary shared restrooms, and paid laundry service was available. A big plus was having considerate roommates.
The hotel boasts a prime location, just about 400 meters from both the metro and bus stops. The rooms are quite small, certainly compact. Conveniently situated in Buda, it's a short distance from Fisherman's Bastion and the Castle.
The location is strategic near Keleti train station and from there, it connects to Budapest's places of interest via tram, bus, metro and taxis. It is also a hub connecting to other parts of Europe via trains. It's also walking distance to Arena mall and the many shops around Keleti Railway station.
Checking in and out was smooth with friendly staff. Room was reasonably large, clean, good air condition, strong water pressure and WiFi connection.
Breakfast was nice with breads, fruits, meats and coffee from machines.
I had an excellent stay in this hotel, is very well located. The room was extremely comfortable. Had an issue with the Safe and the TV and both were promptly addressed and solved. Also the breakfast with great variety and in reasonable hours.
It was unfortunately very hot in Budapest during my stay. The air conditioning worked perfectly for the first two nights, but on the last night, it completely stopped cooling. Even the AC in the common areas wasn't working either. I'm not sure what the issue was, but it made for a very difficult and uncomfortable last night's sleep. The hotel is well-located in the old town; however, it's a bit of a walk to the nearest metro station.
The hotel was well positioned close to St Stephen’s Basilica, with all local amenities on the doorstep including a Lidl supermarket around the corner, plus restaurants and bars in short walking distance. The staff were helpful and friendly. The rooms were basic and even double beds were actually two single beds together but reasonably comfortable, the rooms were also pretty compact with an open plan bathroom with a curtain. For our weekend away it was fine and for me personally I got it at a reduced price booking last minute but others paid a lot more, so for similar price I would personally prefer some of the 4 star hotels located closed by. The breakfast was included which is a bonus, and had a selection of hot/cold food/drinks, served until 10.30am, and you can order a packed breakfast, it was basic but something for everyone. Also there is scaffolding outside of the hotel, so may not be as easy to see the name for when you first arrive.
The main advantage of this hotel is its location. It is literally next to the airport, which makes it an ideal option for travelers. A huge plus is the free shuttle service, which arrives very quickly after landing and also takes you back to the airport. This is really convenient and saves a lot of time.
As for the room, this time we stayed in a small double room. There are a few things that could be improved. The shower door was broken and didn’t close properly, so some water leaked onto the floor. There were also too few power outlets — it would be great to have more. I couldn’t switch the air conditioning to heating mode, and the room felt a bit chilly. The radiator in the bathroom didn’t work either, even when turned on to maximum, which was inconvenient because I wanted to dry some clothes. The lighting in the bathroom was quite poor. It would also be very convenient if slippers and bathrobes were provided in the room.
On the positive side, the bed was extremely comfortable, with a great mattress and soft pillows. The room was clean, tidy, and well-maintained. Despite being so close to the airport, the hotel was very quiet — we slept wonderfully. We especially appreciated the blackout curtains, which completely block out light and make the room perfectly dark.
A special compliment goes to the kitchen. We ordered room service — a burger, goulash, and cappuccino — everything was incredibly delicious, a true 10 out of 10. Breakfast was also impressive: a wide variety of dishes, from steamed and boiled to fried options. Lots of snacks and cheeses — everyone can find something to their taste.
In summary, there are some things that could be improved, but overall the hotel left a very good impression. Next time we travel through Budapest, we will stay here again.
The subway and bus stops are within a 5-minute walk, so you won't have any trouble getting anywhere.
The hotel is old and dilapidated, but considering the price, it's totally acceptable.

NNIENeoThe location is relatively remote, on a small road, not easy to find, but very quiet, facilities are also good, sanitation and sound insulation are very good, the price is worth it
__WeChat279080****The room was excellent, very spacious with ample room for belongings, and it also had a large mirror, which was very convenient for getting ready. The bathroom was also very good; the entire place was spotless, and the bed was very comfortable, making for a truly pleasant stay. The innovative bunk bed setup also made it less awkward for two friends who aren't super close to share a room while traveling. Right outside the door was the common area for these rooms, equipped with a microwave for heating water and communal tables and chairs, perfect for doing makeup in natural light. Overall, everything was excellent.
GGuest UserThe location was very convenient, close to Budapest Nyugati Station. The room was as clean as a Japanese business hotel, and the shower room was also clean. I needed to leave my luggage after checking out, and there was a cloakroom with a lock, so it was safe from a security standpoint. If you make a reservation at ”City Hotel Budapest”, please note that you will need to check in at the Dormero Hotel next door. The reception at this hotel is unmanned.
GGuest UserThe hotel is in a very good location, on the quiet side. But there is public transportation right outside, and it's a 7-minute walk to the opposite side of the Congress. It's a great place to walk along the river at night.
There is a nice bar on the top floor of the hotel, and the guy was super nice and gave me a free meal!
The room is very exquisite, not big but tasteful, and everything is new.
GGuest UserA beautiful place, not the first time we stay with the family in this hotel. This time we took a room more, it is beautiful, but it turned out to be 6 et, and the elevator up to 5 et. Next, the screw staircase under the roof. We had 3 big suitcases, it is not very convenient to pull them down the stairs. Bike number.also as a recommendation of the hotel administration, add a teapot and at least a few tea or coffee bags to the room (which is the usual practice in good hotels). People on the road are tired and it would be nice to drink hot tea rather than to wear shopping in search.
