Stay one night there, nice location to all the tourists spots. Can store luggage but not in a room or a private space. The last day morning before checkout, the electricity and water supply ran out without reason, we just messaged the reception but no response.

Had a few hours between connecting flights from Athens airport, so booking a night at the Sofitel was the best option to avoid non-hotel room surprises and miscommunication with apartment owners after a 14 hour flight. The distance from the terminal gates was literally across the street which was what I had hoped for. The cons: I came in with a 25Kg suitcase which was visually apparently heavy after a long flight and the hotel booked me the farthest room on my floor. Ok, no big deal. I’m young and strong. The first thing I wanted to do was just lie down on the bed to unwind after a long flight. I pulled up the tucked blanket to find that the bed sheets were stained near the pillows. Not something I would expect from a luxury hotel. Now I’m thinking if the sheets were even clean and what was the nature of the stains. Being extremely tired, I let it go and slept far from the stains. Went to take a shower. Two minutes in, I noticed the water not draining and water level rising. Had to shorten my shower time and abort with soapy feet to let the water drain before flooding the shower. Exited the room in the morning for my flight and noticed that the door was actually not locked while I was sleeping because the latch was stuck in the door. I feel that I would have just left the hotel a note on the shower and door and not write this review but the stained bed cover is unacceptable for the price I paid.

Great location, friendly staff, spacious and clean rooms. Everything was very good.You can also get a glimpse of the Acropolis from the balcony.

The staff is kind. They prepared meal box for our early morning departure. Also they advised nice restaurants. The elevator capacity is only four, so we needed to wait several times to ride it.

I have stayed at Luwian for 10 nights and the experience was amazing! The room was very decent while the staff were welcoming taking a good care of me, knowing that I was a solo traveler. Front desk called twice to check in just to make sure my stay was good - that level of hospitality is definitely not common. Went to the restaurant twice for dinner and I had a great time with amazing food for sure. They also helped arrange airport transport which saved me from hassles carrying 2 suitcases with me. Will recommend to everyone visiting Athens!

Good hotel with reasonably modern room at an excellent price. Very clean, toiletries provided etc, air conditioning works well, my room had a balcony Area is not the safest late at night. Okay for me as a man, but maybe not ideal for single women.

I booked this hotel because it was very close to the Acropolis. When I arrived, I found that it was indeed very close, and it only took five minutes to walk there. The bathroom was separated into dry and wet areas, and the countertops were all marble. The room was a bit small, but there was a balcony with a view of the Acropolis. There is a place to eat downstairs. If you walk towards the Acropolis, there is also a tourist street over there with more people and more lively. The sound insulation of the balcony windows and doors was okay. But what was unpleasant was that there were many people outside drinking, watching the game and singing that day, and they didn't leave until one o'clock in the middle of the night. I don't know if this is normal.

This is the perfect hotel for someone who’s spending a bit more time in Athens since it has a fridge, laundry machine, etc. really nice stay, clean and comfy, would def come back

Very good experience! The front desk is friendly. She upgraded me to a double bed, even though I live alone. There's a bar and jacuzzi on the roof. Bath supplies are complete. Eye masks and earplugs are also provided. The decor is vintage and tasteful, with a record and a record player in the room. The hotel is close to the sea, the scenery is very good, the surrounding area is a living area, the life atmosphere is very heavy and I like it very much.
