The hotel is located within the ancient town area, and the view from the property overlooking the old town from the hillside was absolutely beautiful. The bed might not have been the softest, but the room was spacious and comfortable. What impressed me the most was the staff service I would honestly give them more than 100% for their hospitality and care. I was truly impressed with this place. If anyone is looking for accommodation close to the ancient town and conveniently located in the city, I would definitely recommend staying here.

Muka Manor is definitely a hidden gem in Shangri-La! I stayed here with friends and my dog on a road trip, and my first impression was how incredibly pet-friendly the hotel is. There's a huge grassy area in the pasture where my dog could run freely. The room was also very spacious and clean. And don't even get me started on the afternoon tea! The lady at the cafe was so incredibly sweet. In the evenings, we enjoyed the fireplace tea ceremony, and the housekeepers were hilarious and charming. We even got to try making butter tea and tsampa ourselves – it was such a meaningful experience! The staff's service is genuinely warm and attentive; they were always there when we needed something. The attention to detail made our stay so comfortable and peaceful, just like being at home. It truly deserves a five-star recommendation!

The owner was incredibly welcoming and kind. They even picked us up from the bus station and took us to the guesthouse. Our room was spotless and fresh, with no unpleasant smells. The first floor of the guesthouse is absolutely beautiful! 😍 And the rooftop patio is amazing – you can relax on the swing, gaze at Cangshan Mountain in the distance, and admire the old town. It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing! I highly recommend booking here! It's super close to the South Gate of the old town, which is perfect for an evening stroll and experiencing the night market. Overall, a fantastic experience!

This hotel is great! The room looks exactly like the pictures online. The location is super convenient for getting around. They even rent out electric scooters on-site, and the staff are really helpful with directions. As someone from Malaysia who isn't familiar with the area, renting a scooter and following their explanations and maps was no problem at all 😂. They also offer a shuttle service to Lijiang, which is really cost-effective and convenient. They pick you up right at the entrance. The room was pretty basic. Maybe it was because of the holiday rush, but it was really small with no space for luggage, so everything had to stay on the floor. The bed was tiny too. The air conditioning was broken, which was a bummer because it was a bit chilly due to the rain and I wanted to warm up. Also, the TV remote didn't have batteries. On the plus side, the view from the window was nice, right by the sea, and parking was convenient.

Amazing experience! Wonderful host, beautiful room, good quality amenities, very comfy bed, AI, heater in room to keep you warm, local snacks for afternoon tea, daily local breakfast (crossing bridge mi xian set), free shutting to accommodation (arrival) and to train station (departure), and also washing machine and dryer available for use. Owner also provides little farewell souvenir upon your departure. Accommodation is just 5 mins minutes walk from the Dukezong Ancient City. I forgot my jacket when departing and owner immediately helped to arranged for courier which arrived at Kunming on the same day. Would love to return again when in Shangri-La.

My absolute favorite part was the 300-square-meter rooftop terrace! The view was absolutely stunning. During the day, you could see the Golden Pagoda gleaming in the distance, and at dusk, the silhouette of the Peacock Tower was breathtaking in the sunset. At night, the breeze and the lights of the night market made every photo a potential social media sensation. The receptionist even proactively reminded me of the best times for taking pictures – such thoughtful service! The details were also excellent; there was a rest area on the terrace with complimentary tea. I spent every day on the terrace during my stay and never wanted to leave. I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Xishuangbanna!

This review truly comes from the bottom of my heart; I just wanted to share my most genuine feelings. 😃😃 Haha, this stay at this hotel was absolutely the most satisfying one I've ever had. I've traveled to many places before and stayed in many expensive hotels, costing thousands or even hundreds of dollars, but none of them felt as comfortable as this one. First of all, the owners were incredibly down-to-earth and warm, making me feel right at home. They are genuine Yunnan locals, with a wonderfully genuine and simple nature. When we first checked in, they even brought us tea, so the service was excellent in every way. The room was also incredibly clean and tidy, and the fragrance was exactly what I wanted – a light floral scent reminiscent of spring grass, very refreshing. I felt completely cared for. The owners were kind and welcoming, and the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel has a very retro feel, which reminded me of coming home as a child. It immediately made me feel safe and peaceful. The two nights before and after were the most restful nights I've slept in years. The soundproofing was also excellent, making it very quiet. Moreover, the room's facilities, such as the sofa, are very well-equipped and offer great value for money. Honestly, for a hotel costing only a few hundred yuan, the facilities are incredibly luxurious. I feel like the owner is truly wealthy; this is a guesthouse run purely out of passion, haha. I'm so happy! The breakfast is also very healthy, made with vegetables grown by the local farmers—clean, refreshing, safe, and healthy… The hygiene and other aspects are really well done.

Facilities: Very complete, with a separate wet and dry area in the bathroom, plus a lovely small tea station! They even provide two types of slippers, which is such a thoughtful touch. Cleanliness: Spotless and tidy. The room even had a pleasant scent, no strange odors at all. Environment: Excellent! Very beautiful. It's also very close to the ancient town, and getting a taxi is super convenient. Service: Fantastic! Very warm and welcoming! When I had to rush for my bus in the morning and couldn't eat breakfast, they even packed some for me. I really liked the taste of the barley cake. Self-service ******* afternoon tea: Very good, and the portions were generous!

A very beautiful and traditionally looking hotel. A bit run down but everything is working well. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were provided with a portable oxygen machine as we we experiencing with slight altitude sickness. Breakfast is very basic and local, with porridge and noodles and condiments and stit fry vegetables, steam corn and sweet potatoes. Situated within Dukezong Ancient City. There is a KFC, Pizsa Hut, Lucking Coffee, Mini Soo, HeyTea and a supermarket just round the corner.
