The check in was unnecessary complicated, accompanied by lenghty emails. There seem to be too many rules. It was almost impossible to use the expresso maker at the reception, as there were no cups provided, with the instructions that the hotel tries to be eco friendly and we should use the cups in our room. I was on the top floor so going up to get a cup and then having to return it was just impractical. The room was quite noisy, as it is next to the main Boulevard and even facing towards the side street.

Pool was littered with debris from the strong winds. The water quality was good, but the pool staff could have done a better job at hauling out the debris at the deep end of the pool. The jacuzzi was a disappointment. The presence of greenish/yellowish algae in the water made the jacuzzi uninviting. The heater was turned off and will not be turned on until the third week of November. I was there during the last week of October. Every resort I stayed at had the jacuzzi heated despite the time of the year or the ambient air temperature. If it is the position of the management to not clean or heat the jacuzzi, then the jacuzzi should be covered up and blocked off. The breakfast buffet was horrible considering how much money they charged. I probably will not stay or recommend this hotel. It’s has a lot of potential!

Location is literally next to the train station but not at walkable distance from other main activities, and immediate surroundings not quite charming.
Self-service hotel however there is a front desk that is open 24/7
Convenient room, spacious enough, comfortable bedding and bathroom.
Sound insulation within the hotel not optimal (we could hear noise from neighboring rooms)

The B&B is about a 10-minute walk from the Hualien Transfer Station. The area is mainly homestays, with a 7-11, supermarket, and breakfast shop nearby. Several souvenir shops are also nearby, making it convenient for shopping. Buses run from the station to the airport, Qixingtan, Taroko, and other popular attractions.
Check-in was easy, and the host was quick to respond. There's an elevator and drinking water on the first floor. Shower gel and shampoo are provided in the room, and the hot water supply is stable and plentiful. However, the faucets are stagnant, so you'll need to bring your own toothbrush, toothpaste, and mouthwash cup. The TV offers a wide variety of channels, including YouTube.
The day after our stay, a 4.7 magnitude earthquake shook the entire bed, but the elevator was unaffected.

This time I found a hotel on short notice and used trip. No parking fee was added.
It's acceptable to charge an additional 100 on site. The parking lot is about 300 meters away and you have to cross the level crossing.
It is not far from Luodong Night Market, and can be reached in 5 minutes on foot.
The room is very comfortable, with good lighting, a good bed and no odor, and a small balcony
The dry and wet separation in the bathroom is great, but the fragrance in the bathroom is too strong, I don't like it
In addition, the bath towel is too thick, it hurts to wipe the body, it is recommended to change it
Finally, the sound insulation is not very good, and you can hear the noise of the children next door at night
Fortunately, I am a deep sleeper so it doesn't affect me. People who are sensitive to sound may need to consider this.
Overall, there is nothing to complain about the price. The only thing I am not satisfied with is the bath towel. I would still give it 8 out of 10.

We weren't informed before check-in that the public hot spring bath was undergoing maintenance. To make matters worse, the maintenance schedule posted on-site didn't even match the actual situation, which was a real letdown. The complimentary bicycles were quite old and dilapidated, a slight minus. However, guests could sign up for the mochi pounding activity, and a buffet dinner was also available for an additional charge. These two aspects were quite good and added some positive points back.

A hybrid of motel-style themed suites (with garage, KTV, private pool, hot tub, rock bath) and business-style rooms (spacious, simple, modern).
Located in Nantun District, about a 10–12 min drive to Fengjia Night Market, National Taichung Theater, and Autumn Red Valley Park.
The service was excellent, the staff were very friendly, and the facilities were great. There's a sauna and a swimming pool; kids can play in the water, and adults can relax in the sauna if they don't want to swim. You can also take a tram to explore the surrounding area. It's a great place to visit again! I hope I have the opportunity to come back next time.
Although the location is a bit far from the downtown area
But for a pet-friendly B&B, it is pretty clean.
Because the B&B is surrounded by farmland, there are indeed some small insects
But it won't have much impact
It's just that the high voltage electricity nearby makes people a little concerned.
The rooftop view is also nice
It's great that the B&B has an elevator

The room is clean, the restaurant has a good atmosphere and beautiful scenery. The fish skin for dinner is especially delicious. We only brought our pets with us. The service was also very good. I will stay here again next time I come to Sun Moon Lake!

AAnonymous UserFirst of all, this is a very old hotel that has seen truly better days. While maintained well, it has retained it's original furnishings and decor from the 1980s and 1990s. Staying here reminded me of my childhood travelling with my family in the 80s. The actual room does not look anything like the ones shown on the website. The hard floors mean you should wear their slippers or bring your own room slippers. The hot spring water advertised is just hot spring water pipes that go into your bathtub. There is a step that emulates hot spa step in the bathtub.
The breakfast was good with nice braised meat and eggs that you can put over your rice or porridge. There's also hot soy milk. But no hot tea, only coffee. The staff look tired but hard working.
There was a grumpy older lady receiptionist when we checked in and she was pretty rough in the check in process. E.g. ”if you don't put a number here, and you leave things in the hotel, we'll just throw them away! Just to tell you first.”
Room was quite small or cosy, depending on your perspective. The only thing new was the air-conditioner. The TV set had all the settings for channels but none worked. Internet wifi was not quite working too.

GGuest UserI would recommend to anyone staying in Taipei! The staff is very helpful. Excellent customer service. Loved my room and although I didn’t get to enjoy all the amenities (bar, dining, gym) they looked amazing. The view from the 13th floor is beautiful. The location of the hotel is close to the MRT station and a lot of food and shopping! Will definitely be back!

DDanieltrI loved my stay at Slack BnB. It is easy to find in the village. The facilities are very clean, everything is well-planned and guests have a lot of opportunities to rest. Very cosy Dorms with built-in Beds, which have a good quality. The guests are very respectful and quiet. There is a kitchen to provide food, slacklines in the garden, lots of space to hang out and a Beamer where you can watch YouTube etc.
The staff is very motivated to keep everything clean, this can be seen in various facets.
The staff and the owner are so helpful which I appreciated much. I can definitely recommend this hostel to everybody when visiting the island.
GGuest UserSuper recommended this hotel, you will come to the pier to pick you up to the hotel when you get off the bus. Everyone has a good attitude. We arrived at 3 pm very hot. The hotel brother is very sincere to stand on the side of the road and wait for us. Help us put our luggage on and off the bus and close the door. It takes ten minutes to drive to the hotel. The little brother also drove us around their hotel park. The environment is very comfortable and a lot of greenery. The front desk lady is also very beautiful and friendly. It will explain in detail how to use each area. The room is light and wooden. fragrant, very comfortable. There is breakfast service, breakfast is really very pleasant, Miss Sister said that they went to the hottest breakfast shop early in the morning to buy us, so we have eaten several recommended popular breakfasts at the same time, next time I bring my family to relax, More suitable for slow, not in a hurry, if the weather is not hot, I feel that I can stay in the hotel for a whole day. The whole experience is the best in Jinmen, because we are in the special forces in Jincheng District the next day, we still like it here. The hotel owner, including the little brother and sister, is very friendly. Your needs will be met as much as possible. There are pick-ups for playing in Jinhu. So I didn't rent an electric car on the first day.
GGuest UserThe guesthouse provides bicycles, although the brakes are a bit weak.
Parking is only available on the street. It's very close to a bean curd shop, within walking distance.
The only downside is there's no elevator! You'll have to carry your suitcase if you bring one 😂
GGuest UserGreat stay just around the corner of the old street in Jiufen! Takes about 2 flights of stairs to reach the entrance so be aware before you book (as it would be hard to navigate with alot of luggage). Lovely home and very spacious! There is no actual stove or cooktop but they do have a food heating electrical system setup...i didnt use but it is available.
Highly recommend for the location and the peaceful vibes. Check in and out was super smooth!
GGuest UserThe location is excellent, the homestay in the old street is very style, the environment is very comfortable, but the prescribed check-out time is too early and it is not convenient, but at least the luggage can be stored in the lobby. The room was very clean, the sound insulation was ordinary, and it was all luck to be noisy.
GGuest UserI came here on the third night after traveling around the island from Taipei, and I was full of praises! The room is clean, the bathroom and toilet are separated, which completely conquers my mysophobia!
The starry sky at night...is soothing to us who live a stressful life in Taipei on weekdays!
The whole push, push, push!
TTraC.Fengvery spacious room and nice scenery outside our room..
the location although is abit deep in, but it brings the scenery view to next level.. understand from the owner that during good weather, able to see sunrise, unfortunately it was raining during my stay...
breakfast selection is quite limited.. but still acceptable for me as its a typical comforting food that i like!
