What a pleasure to stay here! The location in the Old City is beautiful and interesting, with a benefit of being easy to find. The owners have a wonderful service attitude, and tried to help me with all my little issues. My room was cozy and quiet, sloping roof meet the eaves with a courtyard view. The owners offer railway station pick up, but if you end up taking a taxi, direct the driver to the north gate.

We arrived in the evening and it was raining a lot therefore we appreciated so much their free pick up from the train station to the hotel! The structure is simply beautiful and the owners are really kind. They gifted us of a local vinegar bottle, the rooms are simple but clean and the breakfast as well is nice. The position is strategic in the city centre of the old Pingyao. They allowed us to store our luggages on the day of the departure. We definitely recommend to stay here :)

Lovely stay in the ancient city walls. Owners very attentive, with a great local breakfast and logistics support. Hotel located in a quiet part of the city and has lots of character.

My parents and I stayed here for three nights. The front desk and the owner of the B&B were very hospitable, just like old friends who had met after a long absence. The hygiene was very clean and the facilities were complete and intelligent. The bed was even more surprising. The bedding was soft and comfortable, which made us sleep well all night. They also gave us vinegar and oil tea, which was really heartwarming! I will come again next time!

We had a good experience staying here. They were patient with our lack of ability to speak Chinese and we’re prepared to communicate through translation apps. The room was well accommodated and clean. Bottled water was provided and a traditional Chinese breakfast was available each morning. If you need your coffee in the morning to get started, you will need to bring your own or is it one of the coffee stands throughout town. The hotel is on one of the Backstreets next to a park and requires about a five minute walk to get to the main shopping streets, but as result is also quiet. thanks for a great day.

I highly recommend Lao Chenggen's city view room, which faces the north city gate and the city wall. The views vary in the morning and evening, and the price is worth it. I also like the location of the hotel. It is not as busy and complicated as the center of the ancient city, but it is very convenient and fast. Every important attraction in the ancient city can be reached in about 10 minutes on foot. The layout of the city-viewing room is extremely elegant, and it is very suitable for relaxing, burning incense and drinking tea after coming back from an outing. The breakfast for two provided by the hotel is also quite rich and healthy, definitely better than the general breakfast outside, with wontons, hand-rolled noodles, mutton offal noodles, and different ones every day. Before leaving the store, the store manager gave each guest a bag of organic millet produced in Shanxi and asked the store clerk to move our suitcases from the third floor to the gate of the courtyard. The service was meticulous and thoughtful. The five-star service is absolutely well deserved! 👍👍

Every detail of the hotel—from the wooden beams to the stone pathways—exuded historical charm. The sense of place was so strong that it felt like we were emperors transported back in time. Room We stayed in the Shuyuan Canopy Bed Suite, which was immaculate and exquisitely designed. The amenities were thoughtfully curated, blending modern convenience with traditional elegance. The canopy bed was a highlight, evoking a luxurious, regal atmosphere. We were particularly touched by the high-quality tea sets provided, which allowed us to enjoy our own private tea time in the comfort of the room. Service From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional—always smiling, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Free transportation from the train station was a seamless and much-appreciated touch that set the tone for the rest of our stay. Facilities Every facility was carefully maintained and contributed to the overall harmony of the space. The hotel’s attention to detail extended to every corner, making for a deeply enriching and relaxing experience. Breakfast The only area with room for improvement was the breakfast. Served in a traditional 9-bowl box, it lacked variety and felt more like a school meal than a luxury experience. We would have loved more choices and the ability to select our dishes instead of receiving a pre-chosen set. With an upgraded breakfast service, this hotel would truly be flawless. Final Thoughts This stay was one of the most unique and memorable travel experiences we've ever had. A perfect blend of heritage, hospitality, and comfort. We would return in a heartbeat—and next time, hopefully with a breakfast experience to match the rest of the hotel’s excellence.

We had a great experience staying at Futian Huayu Hot Spring Resort. As soon as we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly and handed us a cup of hot tea, which made us feel warm and at home. The entire service process reflects five-star professionalism and thoughtfulness. The hotel itself is very beautiful, and each room is equipped with its own private hot spring, allowing us to relax in a quiet and private environment. The overall design is extremely aesthetic and full of artistic atmosphere. Both the architectural layout and the decorative details reflect extremely high aesthetics and care. It is one of the most beautiful hotels in the ancient city. The hotel also provides very thoughtful free services: coffee, tea, soft drinks, fruits and snacks all day long, which is very considerate. The guest rooms are distributed in small courtyards, with a quiet and elegant environment. The staff and owners are very friendly and have put a lot of thought into every detail of the hotel, which can be seen in every aspect. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to all my friends without hesitation. This is a truly treasured hotel worth staying in and cherishing!

Great stay! The best one so far during my trip! When you enter, you'll get a cup of tea, and the receptionists will explain a few things (where to eat, what to see, and so on). After you'll go to your room, which is traditionly built! The whole hotel is super beautiful! Bed is comfy, I slept like a baby! You'll get a welcome snack, and I had a personal card written by the staff! Also, the Chinese breakfast is jummie! For the Western people, they also provide another kind of breakfast in case they won't like the Chinese breakfast. The location is good! Super close to the north gate, where you can grab a didi to go to the train station! In 10 minutes you'll be in the bustling area where you find restaurants, bars and shops! And when I left, I got a goodbye present!! So kind

I have stayed in Hilton, DoubleTree and Garden Hilton hotels before, but this is my first time staying in Huiting. It looks a bit like a garden. I like the room layout. The bed is by the window. There is a sofa and a small partition in front. There is even a microwave in the room. It feels very homely~~ The weather was quite hot on the day I arrived, and there was no wind. The room was 29 degrees and quite stuffy. After communicating with the front desk, they said that the air conditioner was turned on. The service was still very good and the sleep was also very good. The hotel is very new. The downside is that it is difficult to find restaurants around and their own restaurant only has breakfast and other things are not open. I don’t know why the water in the shower is very small. It’s mainly not hot enough, so I can only turn on the hot water to the maximum, and the water volume is small~~I hope it can be improved
