Great location! Not far from the city entrance. You can walk to many attractions from the hotel. The staff so welcoming and helpful. You can book a room with railway pickup service. She gave good recommendations and assist us finding car back to railway station. She even gave hair pin and snack for us to have on the early morning train. The room has some stains on the wall but everything else was clean. It was cozy with all necessary amenities. I wish I can rate more than 5 stars on service.

This was the best experience l've ever had in any accomodation. We were looked after so well from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Fang Fang was so helpful with everything and it made our trip so easy. She arranged affordable transport for us everywhere including free pick up from drop off from the train station, helped us plan a trip to suit all our needs as well as book discounted tickets. She offered us tea which was so nice when it was cold outside and was super helpful with every question we had. Communication with her was amazing even when we were out and about. The room was also spacious and breakfast was tasty. The amount of time she spent with us made us feel so special and we will miss it, I’d recommend this place to everyone!

Staff were very friendly. You can get recommendations from them on the best route to tour Fenghuang. We had big luggage with us (28”/30”& 32”). The accommodations do not have an elevator. The staff kindly carried all our luggage to our room when we checked in and down to level 1 when we checked out. Tip for travellers: if you are not expecting to do much shopping. Would be better to travel light.

We are two people travelling from the UK. We had no problems booking on Trip and checking in to the hotel with our passports. The hotel is beautiful with lots of character and charm, even more so when lit up at night by lanterns. There is dark wood and tasteful decorations. There are communal areas to sit. We had booked a standard double but they very kindly upgraded us to the top floor room, which had amazing views of the old town and a balcony with table and chairs. The air conditioning was excellent, the beds comfortable, the shower was hot and powerful, it was very clean. The room had a TV, kettle, cups, shampoo & body wash, plugs by both sides of the bed, insect repellent plugs, towels. The hotel page mentions a fitness room but there isn’t one. There is a washing machine for use, as well as laundry detergent. The balcony had a rail we hung the clothes on to try. Our room was on the top floor and there wasn’t a lift - not a problem for us but mentioning it for others. For breakfast, we requested a time and they brought it to the room. We were given a few options to choose from. We had noodles, dumplings, mini banana bread and mini brioche bread. It came with small cartons of milk so we could have instant coffee we had brought ourselves. Above all, the hospitality and friendliness of the hotel owners was wonderful. They were so helpful. We used translate apps and WeChat app to talk. They ordered a comfortable taxi to take us to the train station. They helped carry our bags upstairs. When we checked in, they offered us local snacks containing tofu, rice, peanuts. They can get discounted entrance tickets to the town for you as well - we did not use this and just bought our tickets at the entrance. They sent us useful information via WeChat. The location of the hotel is excellent. It is just inside the entrance to the old town, and a few metres from the start of the scenic loop around the town. You can reuse the tickets to go in and out. Lots of restaurants nearby in the scenic area, and a large supermarket very close to the hotel, just outside the scenic area. A short Didi ride from the high speed train station as well. Totally recommend this hotel if you are visiting Furong Ancient Town, especially the lovely people who run it. Thank you for a lovely stay!

I contacted this hotel before arriving. He assisted me to book the Zhangjiajie and others ticket and provided me many necessary information for traveling around here. The hotel is located 10 mins away from Wulingyuan east gate by walk. The owner is very nice, he is enthusiastic to assist and provide me anything that he can do for me. Million thanks and I will recommend your hotel for everyone who visit Wulingyuan. And there are not too much restaurants but many shops for snacks and drinks. I love it!

This time, the experience of staying at Doranda Hotel is simply amazing! The room is spacious and bright, the bedding is comfortable, and the quality is reflected in the details. The service staff is warm and thoughtful, the check-in is fast, and they also provide travel suggestions. The food in the hotel restaurant is rich and varied, and the taste is superb. The location is convenient, and the surrounding attractions and shopping malls are close at hand. Next time I travel, I will choose Doranda again!

During the National Day holiday, I came to Fenghuang Ancient Town. I was very nervous when I booked this B&B because I was not sure about the location. I didn't expect that I didn't have to worry about it after I arrived. The river is 20 meters away. The location is very good, but very quiet. The owner helped us upgrade to an executive suite. The room was very clean and tidy, and it was very comfortable. We picked up and dropped off at the high-speed rail station, and the breakfast and supper were also very considerate. I highly recommend it. The housekeeper was also super nice, helping us move our luggage up and down, which was very considerate. I recommend everyone to stay here.

Nothing but praises for this hotel. First of all, the location beside the Wulingyuan river and close proximity to Xibu street makes this hotel ideal. Lots of eateries and shops nearby. It is also walking distance to the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park's entrance as well as the Wulingyuan bus station where you can take a bus to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. The owner, Mr. Li De (sorry if we got your name wrong) is absolutely helpful and pleasant. With about 20 years experience in the tourism industry, he is the right person to plan and arrange trips for you. His recommendations are spot on. He will recommend places to eat and some even with discounts! How awesome is that? The room is cosy and clean. Great aircond, huge TV, good WiFi and well equipped. It even has a bathtub by the window for you adventurous guests. They also provide a shared washing machine and detergent on the roof top to do your laundry. We were glad that we booked this hotel and we could only praise both the hotel and staffs.

When we arrived late for breakfast at 9 AM (usual hours 7-8:30 AM), they graciously prepared fresh meals for us without hesitation. Their extensive knowledge of Zhangjiajie was invaluable - they took time to explain the local attractions and provided clear guidance for our exploration. As we checked out, they surprised us with complimentary snacks for our journey - a thoughtful gesture that perfectly exemplifies their attentive service. While the hotel may be modest in size, it's big on warmth and genuine care for guests. The owners treat you like family, making this an ideal base for exploring Zhangjiajie. Yang Mi was an exceptional host who truly went above and beyond for us. The rooms and decor exuded a rainforest vibe, creating a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere that we thoroughly enjoyed. Her hospitality was outstanding, and she made every effort to ensure we had the best experience possible. I especially appreciated the family-oriented nature of the inn—sitting down with them for tea and fruit, sharing stories late into the night, was unforgettable. I feel like I left a piece of my heart at Hetianwan Inn.

We really enjoyed our stay at this guesthouse. It’s foreigner friendly and the owners are extremely helpful. They sent us to and fro the East Gate entrance of the national forest park (just 5 mins drive away), helped us with planning the places we want to go, booked the tickets for us at a discounted rate and recommended local food places. Indeed a 5* rating worthy guesthouse! The room is very spacious and has a huge rack for all our clothes. Our room did not have a dining table, just a small table underneath the tv but they have ample dining space at the ground floor which worked out well for our food delivery orders when we were too tired to eat out. There’s also lots of food options and massage parlours right outside the guesthouse, the road that leads in is well-lit and convenient. They have maps for all the nearby attractions and discounted tickets.

The boss man and lady were the highlight of this hotel! They were so helpful in helping us plan our itinerary everyday, and were just genuinely nice people who gave us fruit and snacks whenever they would see us. We felt so taken care of here. The location is also excellent, walkable to the park entrance. Highly recommend!

This Hotel Offers great waterfall views. I would say it has the best views in town! The room was small but comfortable and had a nice balcony to observe the beautiful surroundings. The staff were friendly and helpful. A downside was that there was no tea/ coffee in the room.

Perfect hotel in fenghuang, you get the best view! There is an elevator inside (until 4th floor), so you don't have to be tired of going up by stairs. The cleanliness level is perfect, even the balcony floor is very clean. We are very satisfied with this hotel! We get the rooms at 4th floor

Pros- Great location by the river, beautiful and close walking distance to the food shops, famous bridges and the red lady singing on the boat (5-10mins). Clean warm room. Bit of scuff marks and stuff on the walls and wooden furnitures but overall charming, nice and modern and no like stinky smells from the river/mosquitoes/cigarettes etc. Warm showers and has all the standard amenities (hairdryer, soap shampoo, shaver etc). The manager is super friendly and hospitable even though she doesn’t speak English she really tries her best to help. Cons- noisy bars and karaoke until 11pm, tour groups in the morning start like at 7am below the balcony (maybe one or two when I was there 2 days) and 9am construction work starts. The free tour is sadly in Chinese only, and the free outfit doesn’t include photos or makeup, it is about 199 yuan for that but if you don’t want photos or makeup it’s free. Don’t think they wash the outfits super often either. Laundry is apparently not a proper one and you have to hand wash. No lifts if you have a lot of luggage.

This place has a few things going for it. The rooms are pretty nice, practicality of a large bath/small pool in the room that takes a lifetime to fill notwithstanding. Pretty good view of the river The location suits those who like to be close to the action, but not right in the middle of it. If you want to see the town without being overwhelmed the moment you step out of your hotel, this place is ideal.And the staff is super friendly and helpful. It does suffer from the fact that some of the amenities seem to have been largely forgotten. Solid stay, but if you look closely, there may be a few rough edges.

A super good homestay, located right in the scenic area, with stylish decoration and clean and tidy rooms. They also arranged a pick-up service. Buying tickets for them is also much cheaper than buying them yourself. The key point is: I didn't know I had my period that night and stained the sheets. When I left, I told the proprietress with trepidation how much the cleaning fee was so I could transfer it to her. In the end, she said it was okay and wished us a pleasant journey. It's really a very good store and a very satisfying stay!

Everything is good, and the services were excellent, free pick up from railway station (one way) Check in complimentary with wine and fruit, there are no lift but don't worry about that, they will help to send to your room The only complaint is their breakfast, very simple with one egg and noodle, no refill if you come late to the breakfast.

My friend and I checked in on September 10, 2024! The hostess of the B&B is very considerate and offers free pick-up and drop-off from the high-speed rail station, which is great! Moreover, the boss lady can help you buy Furong Town tickets in advance for only ¥80, great! The B&B is next to the scenic spot ”Towang Bridge”, so it is very convenient for sightseeing! And near the entrance and exit of the scenic spot, it is not hard to drag your luggage on the stone road. The B&B is located at the edge of the scenic spot and is not too noisy, but the singing and trumpeting will flow into the room after all. However, at 10:30 pm, all sounds will disappear on time and will not affect sleep! The room is quite spacious, bright and clean, and the hygiene is good! Some parts show signs of age, but it's acceptable! The air conditioning was sufficient and I had a good sleep! The room has a balcony and can see Towang Bridge and the surrounding scenery. Although the scenery is ordinary, it is refreshing!

This hotel is the best in China for this trip. The staff picked us up from the high-speed train station for free and also dropped us off. They helped us carry our luggage over the stone floor and steps. All the staff were friendly and tried to communicate with us. The view from the window of our room was wonderful; you could see the village and river. I highly recommend everyone stay here. We are family from Thailand and we will recommend everybody to stay here 👍🏻👍🏻

The owner was very friendly and considerate. He picked us up from the train station upon arrival and also dropped us when we completed our stay free of charge. Furthermore, he upgraded our room with one with a balcony and faced the river. The room was very comfortable. He also provided 2 breakfasts even though, it should be only once. Again free of charge. He even helped to arrange for transport to Hongshilin as he couldn't drive us there as he was not feeling well that day. Lastly, his place is outside the main waterfall area which provides peace and quiet, unlike those near the waterfall which is surrounded by pubs with karaoke. It's the best place to experience local hospitality.
