Pet Friendly Hotels in Hunan, China

This is a wonderful hotel to stay at when visiting Fenghuang. Its about 15min taxi ride from train station and right to the hotel front door for 26 yuan. The staff are super friendly and helpful - communicate to them via wechat. I had a 25kg suitcase and staff carried it up 2 flights of stairs for me, theres no lift. The room and view is as pictured - has everything you need for a pleasant stay. 1 full day is enough to see everything - started around 10.30am and went back to hotel by 4.30pm to shower and rest then ventured out after 7pm for dinner and the night lights... got back at 10.30pm. If you pay extra to visit the local historical attractions and watch the show then its best to stay 2 nights - I just wandered the streets, ate and shopped. Theres some very nice and cheap souvenirs here! I really enjoyed my time in Fenghuang thanks to the hotel and staff. Simply amazing! Highly recommend this hotel. It may look far from ancient town centre on the map but only 10min walk. Wear comfy shoes, you will get a good workout exploring here!

Tv did not work in my room, was moved to another one for a night while they fixed it. However tv didn’t work there either. Wifi is poor as well. The service was great tho. I was gifted tea for the inconveniences and the room was cleaned with fresh water and towels daily. In my experience, I thought the hot water was broken, turns out it just needs 10 minutes before it gets warm, same with the sink. View from the hotell is superb. And the breakfast you get, noodles with coffee, tea, fruits and bread was an excellent start to any day. I would recommend the place, but not for extended periods of time, you should also lower your expectations a bit from what is showed on the site.

We had an amazing 5D4N stay at Foggy Valley for our ZZJ trip. They have, in our opinion, the best location to enjoy good air & and the best sceneries day and night. Highly highly recommend 👌 The place is so serene. The room is so comfortable - all room amenities available. They even have softdrinks, snacks, and tea daily in the room. Bedroom slippers are those quality ones. They offer so so much. Try the local zzj wine and beer available at their cafeteria. Good spread of breakfast, too. With all that said, the people and staff working at Foggy Valley are the essence of this place. Every one of them were thoughtful, dedicated, and hospitable, literally everyone. They made us feel so at ease throughout the stay. As i was very confuse about the tickets to the attractions, they helped us make the purchase, settled the complicated entrance booking every single day and keep up with us daily to make sure we are enjoying ourselves and offer any help they can. We are soooo thankful they made our experience 100% hassle free, very peaceful, very happy. We will definitely stay with them again if we come to zzj and recommend to all our families & friends.

This hotel is exceptionally comfortable — the rooms are clean, cozy, and equipped with all the essentials. The double room features a spacious and very comfortable bed. The staff are incredibly attentive and friendly. They didn’t just offer a warm welcome — they also helped me book discounted tickets to Zhangjiajie Park and even put together a personalized tour plan based on how much time I wanted to spend there. The location is super convenient too — it’s only about one kilometer from the East Gate of the park, making it easy to reach on foot or by taxi. There’s also a vibrant street nearby filled with cafés and shops. I highly recommend this hotel — you won’t regret it!

For me the place was perfect: very close to the drop off point from taxis, so you don't have to walk for too long with the luggage, and walking distance from everywhere - the town is really small. Lili and the staff were super kind and helpful with everything. They also arranged a car to drive me back to the station. Maybe the only improbable thing is that they could share arrival information once they accept the booking: to access the ancient town you need to pay 108 yuan and many people arriving didn't know. This is not to sleep in the hotel, it's just to access the town, so everyone has to do it. But for me it's been great!

The owners are really friendly and welcoming. When we arrived at noon with our suitcases, the owner immediately helped us with our luggage, and his wife was also very kind. The inn is about a fifteen-minute walk from the Tianmen Mountain cable car. However, the double room on the second floor doesn't get any sunlight, so it can be a bit dark. The twin room gets sunlight and would be a better option, so I'd recommend booking a twin room.

The location of the hotel was excellent. The view from our room was just breathtaking. The staff was very helpful, they booked a car (for free) to pick us up and drop us at the railway station. They also helped to take our luggage to the hotel as the car does not stop in front of the hotel (is a pedestrian street). I would improve the breakfast. The only option available was noodles.

We‘ve been staying in No. 5 Valley for visiting the Zhangjiajie National Park. We had a pleasant stay, beautiful room with a fantastic view, amazing local food. The accommodation offers great Service especially because they speak good English. Our highlights were the exchange and learning about tea culture, swimming in the infinity pool and having someone taking care of organizational stuff (e.g. booking transfer,…) We absolutely recommend the No.5 Valley and will definitely come back when visiting China! PS: They also offer to book tickets for the Nationalpark for you!

Authentic homestay right in the heart of Furong Town. It was a bit difficult to find at first, but after asking around, we found the right place. We were able to enter our neat and beautiful room early in the afternoon. The view of the waterfall was beautiful, and as soon as we stepped outside, we found ourselves in the bustling part of town. However, we would have liked to have known beforehand that we would have to pay around €33 to even get to the hotel. Because this is the old part of town, you need tickets to get in. During our stay, we frequently walked in and out of the homestay. However, there was never anyone at the reception, and at checkout, we simply left our ticket. We didn't know where to go if we had any questions.

I usually don't bother writing reviews, but the service at this place compelled me to leave a good one. The environment is nice, the price is right, the facilities are brand new, the service is attentive, and they even provide disposable toilet seat covers. Breakfast is free, and they offer free shuttle service to Furong Ancient Town. When they saw there were three of us, they even upgraded us to a quad room for free. They also gave us a souvenir when we checked out. Honestly, apart from the Furong Ancient Town scenic area itself being a bit underwhelming, I really can't find anything to complain about. If you're visiting, don't bother with those 'scenic view' rooms in the area; staying here is definitely the best choice. If you want to take photos, just cross the Jumping Rocks and find a restaurant with a view to eat and snap some pictures – that's perfectly fine.
