This is the landmark of the Xiamen city. View is superb and neighbourhood is nice with Lot of young people. I booked High Rise apartment but for some reason I got apartment in lover possible level. It’s more than 50 floor high building but I got room in 18th floor. As well room size was Not like described. I asked non smoking room but got room with smoke smell and ashtray was included. Bed was hard like stone and cinema asked for administrator. Check in needed calling for landlord and without any Chinese skills it may be difficult. As well landlord asked us to register ourselves thru app and it was as well only Chinese. Not easy for foreigners. After my complaint landlord gave another apartment what was in 50th floor and bed was much more softer. Thank you for that. Strange was that normal towels were not included. Instead of normal towels there were some strange disposable towel. Building himself is almost new but some mouldering is visible and that is not nice. As well the windows were a bit dirty.

Qian Mansion is a unique hotel in a beautiful colonial mansion. It's rare to stay in such a special building in an authentic neighbourhood among narrow alleyways. I hope I get a chance to stay there again. The location is also convenient, close to the waterfront, metro and pedestrian streets where there are many food choices. A truly wonderful choice for your stay in Xiamen. The room was basic and comfortable. The staff get 10 stars. They are so kind and helpful. I really appreciate how they helped me considering my Mandarin is poor and I can't read Chinese. I saw how nice they were to other guests as well. My only problem was that there was 2 days of a film crew filming a television commercial. Guests could have been warned that they wouldn't be able to use the full hotel and perhaps received a discount for inconvenience. They took up most of the common spaces in the building and guests couldn't enjoy all the beautiful spaces. Men from the crew were constantly spitting. Spitting on the ground shouldn't happen within a hotel.

There is a bus stop at the door of the hotel, and the subway entrance is one street away from the hotel; there are many delicious foods nearby! What do you want a bicycle for this price! Go!

The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. It was a complete rip-off and not at all what I expected from a place that advertises “breakfast included.” All they offered was a plate with a toast, an egg, half a sausage, and some cabbage, which is totally overpriced for what it is. Overall, my stay was okay, but there is definitely room for improvement in terms of maintenance and the quality of the breakfast. There is no lift, so if you have heavy luggage prepare yourself to carry it to the second floor. The guy working at the front desk was really helpful and even welcomed us in the middle of the night.

I came to Quanzhou with a group of six friends and booked a satisfactory B&B, which really added a lot of points to this trip. First of all, the location of the B&B is very good. This homestay is superb for me and my family member from Malaysia. The location is great and the pin location is accurate is u grab car from Didi. This homestay can grab Didi anytime.The shop Opposite hotel is 老字号马蹄酥&黄衍明口腔科 as later i will put picture for ur reference. Then u follow the signboard go in the alley then can find the homestay. The owner of this homestay is super helpful and friendly. As my luggage damage in airport, owner help me to get a new luggage online and get it just within a day. The homestay even provide us disposable towel ,face towel , tooth brush and tooth paste everyday. And no need worry about shampoo and body shampoo too. Hassle free and can bring less item if u stay in this homestay. The hotel location is great to grab breakfast and supper too. Some within walking distance restaurant I will put in photo. And 小白车u can take from this homestay to many travel attraction just rmb 2. All in all, this homestay is good value for money and i would like say thank you to the owner of this homestay for the pleasant stay during my trip. The hotel is ideally situated in the heart if Quangzhou midway between the high speed rail and airport and within walking diatance of most of the primary tourist sites. It is conveniently close to dozens of great restaurants around the corner where we found it easy to get an early breakfast or a late dinner. The staff were incredibly helpful upon arrival and upgraded us from the queen room to a king room. The hotel was initially a little hard to find as it is in the lane behind the retail shops in front where the DiDi driver dropoed us The sign is illuminated in Chinese and we were not sure where to go. Apart from that every thing is 5 star. The bed was extemely comfortable and the room was spotless. The bathroom has a wonderful shower with conventional rain head and wand fixtures. The heated mirror is a very nice feature for after showering. The owners takes great pride in their hotel. A traditional tea station is provided with local tea. We can't talk more highly of this Hotel. We have been travelling for the past 60 days and this was by far the best we stayed in.

This was a small and beautiful village and the family who ran the inn helped us carry our luggage up to the inn and later down to the inn. When we arrived they cooked a dinner which was reasonable in price based on a local menu. And then during dinner, they told us that one of the family members will be running a free tour of the Tulous of four dishes one soup for us in which they explained the history of the building of the tulous, especially the oval shaped tulou. Our guide was very funny with his stories (he spoke in Chinese) and it was a lovely time seeing the artists and candy makers in the Tulous. I would highly recommend this place. We did have to bring our own towels (or at least we brought our own and they didn’t supply one), so maybe best to check.

Been there from 2nd to 4th of Jan, Great place, better stay at least a couple of nights to fully enjoy the tulou life. Mr Huang and wife were amazing, some of the most hospitable people I’ve ever met. They cooked food for us and gave the best advices about exploring the surroundings. If you have time, at sunset, walk up to the bus stop and find the little gap in the guardrail, it will bring you straight to the rice terraces. Can see the Tulou Complex from a different point of view!

As it wasn't a busy time and we were staying for a whole week, on check they upgraded us to the Wooden Loft Family Room, which was quite nice. The room was comfortable with big windows and a nice view across the stream to the forest. It was great to have a washing machine and the washing machine had a dryer function as well so we could still dry our clothes when it was cloudy and cool. The smart toilet was a bit disappointing as the controller wasn't very responsive and the flush was very weak. The tub was nice though the water was not quite hot enough to make it comfortable. Most of all we enjoyed the courtyard area and the breakfast/restaurant area, especially the tea room. They are really well designed and organized and provide a nice space to relax and read and write. The breakfast was quite nice, they provide a serving size based on the number of people, though it was often not enough for us and we normally asked for another serving. They also brought a fruit and yogurt platter to the room in evenings which we also enjoyed. The location is convenient to walk down to the Yuchanglou Tulou in Xiabancun, though part of the way will be on the main road which can be busy with traffic. To get to other areas such as Tianluokeng and Taxiacun it is also possible to walk, though again sometimes you have to walk on the main road as there is no walking path or small side road. There is a tourist bus service that goes between the scenic spots and you can even flag them down in between though you are supposed to have purchased a transportation ticket first and that is not striaghtforward to get if you didn't get it in advance. So, most guests come with their own car or rent one. If arriving by train, while trip.com shows the Yongding and Longshan railway stations as the closest, actually the quickest and most convenient station is the one at Nanjing. Also, because the hotel is within the scenic area you do need to purchase tickets to enter, either online tickets or paper tickets at the gate.

I booked a large room for 2 nights. It was clean and tidy. The boss, whose surname is Zhang, is not very talkative but very sincere.
