This stay at the Holiday Inn Express Zhanjiang was definitely the most pleasant surprise of my recent travels! 🏨 Room Type: I originally booked a Superior Twin Room, and during the booking process, Ms. You from customer service was incredibly enthusiastic. Upon learning our needs, she immediately upgraded us to a Sea View Twin Room for free. The moment I opened the door, I felt instantly relaxed – the room was spacious and bright, with a panoramic view of the azure sea right outside the floor-to-ceiling windows. Enjoying breakfast or simply daydreaming while facing the ocean was incredibly delightful. This upgrade definitely deserves a thumbs up! 👍 🔧 Service: Beyond the excellent facilities, the hotel staff's professionalism was impeccable. We discovered that our car's seatbelt buckle had unexpectedly malfunctioned and wouldn't latch, which made us quite anxious. We hesitantly sought help from the front desk, and to our surprise, Mr. Sun from engineering immediately came over with his tools. Not only was he highly skilled, fixing the buckle in no time, but he also patiently double-checked it to ensure everything was in order. He truly embodied the spirit of craftsmanship and made us feel 'at home'. 🌟 Summary: A good hotel isn't just about luxurious decor; it's about making guests feel welcome through thoughtful details. "Very dissappointed with check in staff in terms of their attitude and local knowledge. Have spelled out before arrive hotel and upon arrival that we require non smoking room due to allergic. But yet the check in staff told us if we can accept 27th floor “smoking room”. We ended up have to wait at reception area for housekeeping to clean up a non smoking room for us. At the hotel lobby, we asked the concierge staff if they can ring up a taxi for us and the reply is “NO”. The comments we saw online before we arrive the hotel is very much contradict to the actual situation. Hence we decided to move to Hilton Hotel nearby in which we received warm welcome. The staffs at Hilton Hotel is polite and knowledgeable and very patience explaining to us places of interest in Zhanjiang. Will definitely recommend Hilton Hotel which is also cheaper in price and the rooms are well decorated and clean."

"I had a great three-night stay at the Beihua Hotel. Firstly, it's located above a large shopping mall in the most bustling part of the neighborhood, next to a pedestrian street, offering everything you could want for shopping, entertainment, dining, snacks, and late-night meals. It's very convenient to get to Jinsha Bay, the Red-billed Crane Cruise, and the Seaside Park from the hotel. The hotel is on the 39th floor, offering expansive sea views from the room windows. The rooms are spacious, clean, bright, and simply and comfortably furnished. The front desk staff were warm and proactive, providing me with a lot of travel information, which was very thoughtful."

"This guesthouse boasts an excellent location. The entrance hall and master bedroom offer sea views, and the design is stunning, providing fantastic scenery, so I gave the environment a 5-star rating. They also provided complimentary coffee and a few snacks. The front desk and butler were quick to respond to my inquiries about room facilities (the original Wi-Fi password was incorrect, and there was no CCTV television). The coffee bar staff were friendly and enthusiastic, so I rated the service 4 stars. However, I only gave the facilities and cleanliness 3 stars, and here's why: 1. The secondary bedroom has no windows, and there's a large, awkward indentation next to it, making it uncomfortable. I didn't sleep well in the secondary bedroom and even felt unsafe. I booked the 270-degree C-position sea view suite, which was expensive, assuming both bedrooms would have sea views. I was very disappointed to find the secondary bedroom so poor. It would have been cheaper to book two separate rooms. Plus, the advertisement didn't mention the secondary bedroom lacked a window or had that large indentation. The '270-degree C-position sea view room' is actually only 180 degrees, and it definitely isn't 120 square meters; it's probably closer to 70 square meters. 2. The bathroom is quite small, with no separate wet and dry areas, and there were many water stains on the sink shelf. The design is also impractical. Finally, my booking was for a 2 PM check-out, but upon check-in, they told me 12 PM. After I pointed this out to the front desk with a screenshot of my booking, they corrected it to 2 PM. Then, early the next morning, they again said 12 PM check-out. When I asked why, the butler said it was a mass message and to disregard it, confirming we could still check out at 2 PM. However, around 1 PM, a staff member knocked on our door, asking when we were checking out, despite us repeatedly stating 2 PM. Why did they try to rush us out three times when our booking, check-in, and conversations with the butler clearly stated 2 PM? This negatively impacted our check-in experience."

"In Dongjian Town, Dongjian Hospital is directly opposite, next to gourmet shops and supermarkets, five kilometers to Longhaitian, about 16 kilometers to the southeast pier, and there is a gas station about one kilometer nearby, which is very convenient! The soundproofing of the door of the room is too poor, and you can hear it clearly in the corridor!"

"I booked a room with my trip coins, the hotel is great. When you enter the lobby, you feel like in a 4 star hotel. The service is perfect. We booked a "no window" hotel, so it was a bit oppressing, but that was our choice and we just needed one night of sleep as we were moving on the morning of the second day. So all in all, a great value for the money, and location is super convenient (stores downstairs, beach accross the road, free protected parking...). Recommended for short term stays (or room with windows for long term stays :) )"

"On the first day, the bathroom drain was clogged when I took a shower at night. I reported it to customer service, and it took them an hour to fix it. The next morning, I went out and didn't return to the hotel until after 3 PM, only to find that my room hadn't been cleaned. I called the front desk, and they first asked if I had activated the 'Do Not Disturb' button. After checking, I replied that I hadn't. Then, the front desk asked if I had pressed the 'Make Up Room' button. I was speechless – isn't room cleaning supposed to be a daily routine? This was the first time I'd heard such an absurd question. I then went down to the front desk myself to sort it out. They said they would arrange for a housekeeper to clean the room, without a single word of apology throughout the entire process. About 10 minutes later, a housekeeper arrived to clean the room. Is this really the service quality of a five-star hotel in Zhanjiang??? I booked the 'Garden Rhyme Family Suite,' no less. Honestly, this stay was a truly terrible experience and very disappointing!"

A very good experience; I'll definitely stay here again next time I'm in Zhanjiang."

It's not far from Chikan, Cunjin area, Xiashan, and Zhanjiang North High-Speed Railway Station. There are restaurants nearby, including the shop's own restaurant, and the China Merchants Garden Shopping Mall, making dining convenient. The rooms are spacious with pleasant sea views. The shop responded promptly and provided excellent service."
