"On my way home, I decided to stay at this hotel again. I've stayed here in previous years, so it's familiar and reliable, reducing the chances of a bad experience. It's pretty average: 1. The breakfast, perhaps due to fewer guests, had a reduced variety and quality compared to my last stay. 2. There's a small children's play area (a simple slide) next to the lobby front desk. My child excitedly put down their luggage and rushed downstairs to play (it was already past 9 PM). After playing for just a minute or two, they were told by staff that it couldn't be used due to some government fire safety inspection, as it would obstruct the fire doors. Here's a suggestion: It would be better to put up a sign in advance next time, or simply dismantle it completely until the inspection is over. Otherwise, isn't it ridiculous to go through the motions of an inspection, claiming strict adherence to standards, when the play area is still there? Firstly, it was already 9:30 PM, and secondly, the issue was that the items themselves affected the opening and closing of the fire doors, not that someone playing in the area was the problem. Please get your logic straight."

"The hotel's location near the beach is excellent, and it's also very convenient for getting around the city. We even got an upgraded room with a spectacular view of the ocean right from the window. The staff were attentive and thoughtful, and the cleanliness was meticulous. With a full range of amenities, our stay was comfortable and pleasant. It offers great value for money, and I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time!"

"Choosing this five-star hotel for my May Day holiday was a delightful surprise! The front desk staff were incredibly helpful and efficient, and they even upgraded us to a suite for free. The room was well-maintained and felt very new, and the hotel had excellent facilities. The sea view was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet offered a fresh and wide variety of food. Plus, the Golden Beach bathing area was right downstairs. The festive atmosphere was wonderful. It was definitely a worthwhile trip!"

"I very much liked my stay here, the room was clean and peaceful, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom had everything I needed, and the hotel location was good as it was near Dingsheng Plaza and also along a north-south main road that many major routes in the city travel on. The front desk staff spoke no English, and I only speak very basic Mandarin, but they were able to still fully assist me and help me check in and check out, especially Yun Zhan (云湛), who explained everything with hand gestures and simple words and demonstrated how to do some things too. Thank you very much! This was the first time I stayed at an Atour hotel but I was impressed and would definitely stay here or at another Atour hotel again. There was also free laundry but I did not know how to use it and it was outside the room and down a busy elevator so I never tried it in the end. :D There are very few negatives and most of them are not fixable. One is that I did not like that the toilet was in another room from the bathroom, as I use all of them together and so I had to go back and forth between the two rooms a lot. A second that can be negative for some people is that there was a lot of honking from vehicles, 24 hours a day. However, I actually liked this because the sound was muted, so there was a "far away busy city" vibe that made me happy. Lastly, the free night time porridge was very watery and not nice at all when I tried it."

"I've been to many cities in China, and Zhanjiang is definitely one of my favorites. This hotel's location is absolutely fantastic – it's so convenient for visiting Jinshawan and taking the Red-billed Gull cruise. Plus, there's a Starbucks downstairs, and right across the road, there's a coffee shop by Jinshawan Beach. Parking is a breeze too, with an underground garage if you're driving. What really impressed me was finding Huawai 1952 wafers in the room! That was such a thoughtful touch, letting us try a local Zhanjiang specialty without even leaving the room. The hotel genuinely cares about its guests. And the tea restaurant downstairs (where breakfast is also served) has excellent dishes. We didn't have to go far to find great food, and the menu is extensive, with some lovely Cantonese specialties. I absolutely loved the pineapple buns. For breakfast, they even have freshly ground coffee, which was a huge bonus! The room itself was quite spacious, the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area, the air conditioning worked perfectly, and the bed was really comfortable. Haha, I'm very satisfied overall!"

"The May Coast B&B on Naozhou Island has a good environment. The courtyard is elegantly decorated, with a landscape terrace, a tea room in the courtyard, and a reading bar. It is a real first-line sea view room, and you can see the sea from the room. The service girl is warm and thoughtful, and the Western breakfast provided by the store is very good, worth experiencing!"

"Cockroaches were found in the room, especially when one ran away. I always worried about cockroaches when I went to sleep, which affected my sleep. There was an auntie serving in the breakfast room who was absolutely terrible (the other aunties were very good, but I didn't know what the name of one was). My mother took 5-6 grilled wings and she said it was too much. It was the first time I was told that I took too much when I ate buffet breakfast. 😂 There were four of us in the group, and we sent her to get food, so she didn't dare to help me get food when we had breakfast."
