NNeal DeSnooBeautiful location along the Kumano Koda trail. Excellent food and beautiful onsen on site. It is isolated (which is part of the charm) so be prepared to walk to town or take the bus if you want go to a market or lunch spot.

ZZishan-roxanneIt is one of the hot spring hotels recommended by the official WeChat of the Japan National Tourism Administration and has a history of 500 years. Although it was already around 20 degrees in Osaka when we arrived, we were still lucky enough to catch the snow here and soak in the hot springs in the snow. I felt extremely happy. The room was comfortable and spacious. The tatami is very comfortable. Although the female staff doesn't know much English, she is very active in finding ways to communicate with guests. She is very friendly and dedicated. There is a large cherry blossom tree in the hotel courtyard that should be beautiful when it is in full bloom. The jazz lounge is so flavorful that you will not want to leave the hotel. Tianshan Village is very peaceful and a rare accommodation experience. Friends who arrive by bus don’t have to worry too much. The station where you get off is about a 7-minute walk from the hotel. Please feel free to call the hotel in advance and ask them to pick you up. The service is super good.

AArbbear1. Japanese-style rooms are spacious and elegant. The mattress is thick enough so it doesn't feel like sleeping on the floor. The quilt is also very soft and comfortable.
2. There are mountains and rivers outside the window, and the scenery is pleasant. This river should be the Totsu River, but there are actually hot springs underneath.
3. Both dinner and breakfast were rich and delicious. The grandpa also explained each dish to us.
4. We went there at the end of December and it was very cold in the mountains. Although it looks like a Japanese-style window made of paper, the room is very warm.
5. There is an outdoor bath, so beautiful. You must take a bath outdoors~

GGuest UserWe were absolutely delighted with the ryokan. The owner is very nice and good-natured. Everywhere is perfectly clean, the linen and yukata are snow-white and smell fresh. Two layers of tatami, super comfortable to sleep. The room is spacious, bright and cozy. The wood flooring in the onsen/wash area has been updated. Tea, treats and kaiseki are all delicious! Thanks for taking care of me!

It was my first time to have a kotatsu in my room, and it was very relaxing. Furthermore, we were provided with a hot water bottle at the foot of our futon, and it was a very well-maintained accommodation.

KKOYAMAI used it for work, but the Wi-Fi was firmly connected and I was able to stay with peace of mind. It was a snowy day, so I felt a little cold with only a shower.

GGuest UserThe host, Ms. Murakami (if my memory serves me right) was really accommodating. For a solo traveller, the inn was more than comfortable, with equipped shared kitchen and clean bathroom and shower. And close to Yamato-Kamiichi station too!
