"Bed is comfy, sheets are clean but blankets looks not washed, so we did not use it. Toilet is clean and love the shower. Facility is really old, needs updating."

"It was a very cozy hostel. The mixed share rooms have individual beds instead of bunk beds, so you don't have to disturb someone else's sleep, which is a big plus! The owner is a very calm and kind person, and he starts by giving us a thorough tour of the surrounding area and the hostel. There is a garden and a pool, and the kitchen is equipped with salt, pepper, and oil, and we could drink tea and coffee freely. It was also nice that we didn't have to buy a few condiments just to cook for ourselves for a few nights. The people staying there were friendly, and it's been a while since I've come across such a cozy hostel. I'd like to use it again when I visit Cairns! I really recommend it to everyone!"

"Large complex with swimming pool access and outlook as our room was on the ground floor. Great to have a walk-in shower and air con worked well. Only gripe was the inadequate sheet that doubled as the blanket - completely lacking in warmth and cover. No extra blanket was provided in the cupboard, only pillows. If there wasn't enough parking available at night, you could park off-street next to the complex."

"Location is right front of big shopping centre.
4mibts to Rusty fruits and vegie market.
Only 15 mints to esplanades st.
Room is clean , bath room clean
Just kitchen need to update .
Bit rustic around water area.
But overall , excellent service and friendly staff!!"

"It was a surprise after checking in. 2 super large viewing balconies, and 180-degree floor-to-ceiling glass in the living room provide sweeping views of the sea and surroundings. We have a complete set of kitchen appliances, such as a washing machine, a dryer, and a very pleasant New Year's Eve. The location is also very good, very close to the pier, and the surrounding supermarket restaurants are very close. This is an apartment we lived in Australia so well, s 4 is awesome, highly recommended"

"The hotel feels rather old and battered. The guests are given regular keys instead of keycards, the walls and the apartment entrance doors are so thin that I could hear my neighbours 24/7. The lift works without tapping the keycard, so anyone can go to any floor. The reception closes at 8, so there is noone to help if anything happens later in the evening/at night. I also heard people shouting in the hallways at night. In general, I just didn't feel safe at this hotel as a solo female traveller."

"Definitely one of the better hostels I’ve stayed in while travelling Australia. However, front desk reception lady was quite rude when checking in. Food and service in the restaurant/bar was shocking. But very clean, good showering facilities, good kitchen facilities, and comfortable beds."
