"The room is indeed not big. It would be a bit restrictive for two people to move around in the room at the same time. The bathroom door opens directly in the way and can bump into it accidentally. However, the facilities are complete, neat and clean, and it has good reviews. It is also relatively close to the JR station, you can get there within 10 minutes on foot."
"The hotel is located about a 15-minute walk from Wakayama Station and 2-3 bus stops away from Wakayama. The elevators in the hotel are separated from each other. Parking is free and there are free snacks and coffee and tea drinks (vending machines). The toilet and bathroom are separated and the space is not small."

A stylish facility at the foot of the mountain where you can stay with a host and feel like you are staying at a homestay
We strive to keep it clean so that you can have a comfortable stay
Many of the furnishings in the dining room and around the entrance are Cassina
The Japanesestyle room that will be the bedroom can be locked from inside the Japanesestyle room The Japanesestyle room that will be the bedroom does not have an upper floor and it is far from the room that the host mainly uses so you will not be bothered by the noise of life on the upper floors

"I spent two nights with my family during the Obon holiday.
There is good access by route bus from Wakayama City Station, and it is convenient to get off at Masagocho bus stop or Prefectural Office Main Gate.
There is a convenience store nearby, so the location is good.
The staff was very kind and courteous throughout my stay, and I felt very comfortable.
Not only the rooms but also every corner of the hotel is thoroughly cleaned, so you can spend your time in a clean environment.
One disappointing point is the aging of the air conditioning equipment. Even when set to MAX, the room temperature never dropped below 26℃.
They kindly accommodated my request for a room change, but they did not resolve the issue.
However, we were able to get through the tropical night by being lent a circulator.
Due to the air conditioning, the facility's rating is a little low, but if you change the season, I think it would be a perfect score.
I would like to use it again in the cooler months."
"Breakfast is simple, but the quality is very good and it is very comfortable to eat. The room is super large and super comfortable, quiet around, very close to the station, the oversized bay window sill sits up to drink and see the night view, very comfortable"
"Very Japanese-style hotel, feel Japanese culture, Japanese food, hot springs, tatami. The room was clean, big enough, with windows, facing the sea, pure viewing room. The boss wife was warm and warm. We took the luggage and helped to the station. Special praise for breakfast, dinner, and the grandmother who prepared the meal for us. The tableware is very exquisite, the meal is very Japanese, from Nato, tofu, small hot pot, Kanto cooking, sashimi, all tasted, the ingredients are fresh and delicious. The first stop in Osaka, perfect Wakayama."

GGuest UserQuite far from train station. 15-20 minutes with fast walking. Plenty of traffic lights on the way.
This chain has a serious issue with breakfasts. Many dishes are cold, even scrambled eggs, and greasy.
Air conditioner blows way too much, even when turned off. Difficult to sleep. The only option is to open a window, which doesn't entirely solve the issue.
Hotel itself is very clean.
GGuest UserVery convenient location, on top of the JR station. We came here by car and the hotel would give us a special discounted ticket after parking in the JR station (limited at ¥800 per day), which was nice! The view at the reception is very pretty especially at the sunset time. We enjoyed the sky spa as well.
JJUNThis hotel is located next to the JR Wakayama Station, very convenient for tired travelers who want to travel easy. About 15min walk to Wakayama castle, and resturants within 2 mins walk, literally just downstairs! I will stay here again if I travel nearby.
GGuest UserI booked this treasure hotel for the Japanese-style room with sea view. It was my first time to Kata, a small seaside city with a particularly beautiful place. The Taiyu tram is very cute. The hotel has a free shuttle to Kata Station. You can call the hotel in advance to confirm the arrival time on the day. The car was not available until 9 o'clock the next morning, so I walked directly to the station in the morning and arrived in about 20 minutes. Baidu Maps is still very accurate.
There are plain public yukatas and free gray split-toe socks in the room. If you like cute yukatas, you can choose one yourself in the lobby.
The room is a bit like a circle, with a toilet, bathroom and a sofa facing the sea view on the outside. The Japanese tatami is in the box. The area is quite large. The tatami bedding will be laid out when you come in to eat.
The hotel's hot spring faces the sunset, and I soaked for nearly an hour to wait for the sunset. The men's and women's baths will be switched in the morning and evening. The sunset at the seaside is really a great view.
Dinner can be added, it is kaiseki cuisine, and there are really many sea bream dishes.
If you have a chance, you must come to Kata in Wakayama
RRita JeanThis was second stay this year whilst visiting my son. Hotel is a short stroll from main railway station & a large department store with food outlets. Staff at hotel are helpful & polite with a varying grasp of English. The breakfast is reasonable but with room for improvement. For European pallets there was no cheese or cold meats, limited bread choice & only undercooked scrambled eggs but this is common throughout Japan. However, I was disappointed on one aspect. Had been expecting some fresh oranges - Wakayama grows them - on both my visits none appeared. Bicycles are also available for hire & we did this free of charge whilst visiting in April & it was thoroughly enjoyable & a good way to sightsee. I would recommend this hotel.
SSI YUE BONNYWe absolutely cannot contain our elation when recalling our recent stay at this remarkable hotel. From the moment we stepped into the elevator adorned with personalized name cards, my husband and I were enveloped in the warm embrace of hospitality. The attention to detail and the genuine kindness of the staff made us feel like VIP guests. They also thoughtfully provided a bucket for us to indulge in the glowing enchantment of firecrackers and even tidied the mess up afterwards.
But the best memory of our stay here was definitely the culinary experience given by the chef extraordinaire — Master Chef Matsuki. His creations were nothing short of a gastronomic revelation. Each dish was a testament to his unwavering dedication and profound respect for the ingredients. Oh, the flavors — titillating all our taste buds in every bite. And the generosity of Chef Matsuki in sharing his culinary wisdom, guiding us on how to savor each morsel, elevated the entire dining experience to sheer perfection.
The language barrier was no obstacle to the remarkable team of staff members who graced us with their presence. Their command of the English language was commendable, and even those who were not entirely fluent went above and beyond to cater to our every whim and need. Their genuine desire to assist us was palpable, leaving us feeling truly valued and cared for.
I am already making plans to return with my beloved family, as I know they too deserve to bask in the unparalleled warmth and luxury that this establishment exudes. This hotel has set the bar impossibly high, redefining the meaning of hospitality and creating memories that will be cherished for a lifetime.
So if you seek a hotel experience that transcends mere accommodation and transforms into a symphony of opulence, impeccable service, and culinary artistry, then look no further. This is the epitome of hospitality, a sanctuary where dreams come true, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone who craves an unforgettable journey of indulgence and delight.
RRomanIt is a good spot for a solo traveler. Capsules are clean. Towels are provided. There is a small tea and coffee area at the entrance. They also have Chinese-standard plug in the capsule which was handy. Also, I likes the smell of wood.
The worst part is that if you come before check-in, nobody is in there, meaning you will have to stroll around and wait for 16:00.
GGuest UserFabulous seaside view and nice Japanese traditional style onsen with Seaview. They also switch male and female side every day so you can enjoy both onsen in one trip. Their check out time is 10am and check in around 15:00 so the time you can enjoy is a little limited. But I would recommend you take the breakfast and dinner inclusive to have the whole experience and it is quite far away from any food and no convenient transport except transfer to city center every morning.
PPaddle UpstreamNothing impressive, small and dark. Okay for a single guy , not sure about ladies. Close to Wakayama-Shi station, so getting around is easy.
Rooms have no view, just looking at pipes dripping water. Room smells of smoke. Toilets are hard to get into as they are ‘caravan size’ toilets and showers. The bath tub is very high, not ideal for elderly folks as the showers are installed within. They do have a ioniser and demister in the room to get rid of bad air and foul smoke smell but not very effective. If you plan to spend most of the day out, it’s ideal.
