"Excellent hotel for small family with an early flight.
Booked a triple room for an unbelievable low price.
King size bed was super comfortable.
The sofa bed was already made into very nice, comfortable bed. The room was outfitted with everything you could want and impeccably clean.
The only down side was that room was a little warm and windows cannot be opened and air conditioning was not operational, presumably because it was April.
We checked in late and left early, so wasn’t able to take advantage of any hotel amenities. But the lobby and restaurant looked neat and modern.
Check in and out were easy and efficient."
"Holiday Inn Marseille is strategically located close to the city's main attractions. The hotel has an elegant environment, spacious and bright rooms with complete facilities, and thoughtful and meticulous service. Whether it is a business trip or a leisure vacation, it can provide a comfortable accommodation experience. Overall, Holiday Inn Marseille is a recommended accommodation option in Marseille."
"Christophe's pad is convenient for the shops, markets and sights of Aix, is in a pleasant neighbourhood, and has parking which is valuable because finding anywhere to park in the city is difficult, once you negotiate your way past La Fada, a sad neighbour who stands in front of your car and rambles on incomprehensibly. The pad is well provided with pots, pans etc and supplied with tea, coffee, herbs, spices etc, though it could do with a toaster, as well as a rubber mat for the inside of the bath because one can slip easily. It's a pad best for people who are fit - it's on the 3rd floor, and who get up, eat and go to bed at the same time because it is very sonorous with the slightest noise reverberating around the flat. For example I was forbidden to wear slippers by my wife because very step sounded on the laminated floor - there are no carpets or rugs - and every cut and scrape on the Ikea crockery grated."
"Great gym, pool, restaurant, and bar. Very nice place and excellent staff.
Only complaint is that there is not an earlier shuttle to the airport which is about a 6 /7 min walk away when there are clearly people such as myself and others who needed to be at the airport before 5 am. It’s an easy walk, which I took, however since the airport is under construction and there are no clear markings as to which side of the airport to go to, it took us nearly a half hour to reach our destination with 2 children in tow and pulling luggage. This could have been easily done with a shuttle service that coordinated with all these early flights. By 5 am the airport was packed with long lines. I will not stay here again for that reason. I paid the extra for a nice hotel with shuttle service. So it’s not worth it to me if there is only half of what is needed. "

"The hotel is well located next to the airport, and the outdoor pool/terrace is very nice.
However, the hotel remains in its original, dated state; it's almost refreshing to have stayed on a budget. The breakfast was good, true to ibis standards.
However, when we arrived at reception, they asked us to top up the price of the night! I had to show them my Trip booking, with the additional €4.90.
It's true that I got a very good rate with Trip, fortunately given the mixed experience."
"The hotel is everything but close to the airport if you go by foot, luckily they have a free vehicle service. There is no dinner available on the weekend, and there are literaly no shop around. They may have a pool, but the bathroom is moldy…"
"The hotel rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast is a buffet with many options. The staff are friendly and helpful. The reception staff member (Katia?) was particularly helpful finding a satisfactory solution to help me get to Marseille train station.
The only downside to the hotel is its location as it is inaccessible by foot from the airport. If like me your flight is delayed and you arrive after midnight you miss the free hotel shuttle and you will need to take a taxi to the hotel. Arriving late also means that you will have difficulty booking a hotel shuttle place to the airport in the morning. So if possible make sure to book your place when you make your room reservation.
The hotel is however within walking distance to the Vitrolles train station so that is a definite advantage if you need to take a train into the center of Marseille or to other cities in France."

AAnonymous UserThe front desk person was very friendly and pleasant. The room is great. Perfect for a long stay with laundry facilities and all the necessary comforts.
For flying, it may not be ideal if your flight is early in the morning as the first bus doesn't come until 6 am and the hotel is still a bit far from the airport. Otherwise it was perfect.
