"Since I was taking the ferry to Victoria, I chose a hotel in Richmond for my second night in Vancouver. This hotel is relatively new, so the facilities are quite good and meet close to a four-star standard. However, their check-in policy is quite rigid; even if your room is ready, you still have to wait until after 3 PM to check in. If you want to check in early, you have to pay an extra 60 CAD. The hotel's location isn't ideal either, as it's about a 15-minute walk to the nearest SkyTrain station, Capstan."

"The newly renovated hotel exceeded our expectations. It was very clean, and the front desk staff were very friendly. They even gave us a complimentary breakfast (a croissant and a yogurt). For the same price, this is probably the best you'll find. The only downside was the slow Wi-Fi, which I hope they can improve. Oh, and the fridge in the room wasn't working very well; it froze all our fruit."
