In addition to the food and beverages, the service is relatively friendly and it is really bad. The hotel does not have a beach and there are reefs outside, and the swimming pool is small. The room facilities are ordinary and the soundproofing is poor, which affects the rest. The mountain road that came to scratched the car and was in a bad mood.

A super hotel with good facilities and a good location. The buffet breakfast is comparable to the standard of lunch and dinner. The hotel’s open-air saltwater swimming pool is clean and buoyant. It faces the sea and makes waves. It’s amazing. The family suite we stayed in, open the skylight, the sun shines in, it is too comfortable.

Мы оставались в этом Гест хаусе на 6 ночей и потом ещё в других местах по Шри Ланке, и я хочу сказать, что это наилучшее место из всех, которые мы посетили. Очень близко к морю, рядом есть кафе. Изначально, мы опасались шума от дороги, но все было отлично. Мы чувствовали себя в полной безопасности и не боялись оставлять ценные вещи. Завтраки были отличные и кофе был супер.

The main asset of this place is the staff. Everything. What was not noted when booking was the lack of glass in the windows. They are closed with decorative wooden shutters, as the hotel is decorated in a traditional style. But opening these shutters means listening to all the sounds that you can already hear quite well, and in the evening mosquitoes will fly in. Some people won’t notice, but I was in a small room with no windows, and without daylight it wasn’t very good. The mattress was comfortable. The breakfasts are good. The hotel team is pulling out all the stops, but renovation of the rooms is already required))

The hotel is small, it is a pair of father and daughter operating, there are only six or seven rooms, but the hotels along the road are almost the same. The room is large, the bath is large, and all the supplies are available. You can ask the little brother to have a hairdryer. Can't swipe, want cash. The hotel does not have a swimming pool. The beach in front of the hotel has a good ecological protection. Small crabs and hermit crabs can be caught everywhere. There are no rubbish on the beach. Foreigners are seen along the road. The water is fine and the photos are beautiful. There are many big crabs crawling up and down on the reef, and small fish swimming in the pool. The breakfast at the hotel is very expensive, the bread is a lot, it can't be eaten and wasted.

But the lovely staff found a solution very quickly in another hotel for the first night before we returned to Villa Gaëtano for the second night. They all went above and beyond to cater to all my needs and questions.
The breakfast spread was vast and memorable, days after leaving its still all I think about! The room was spacious enough for me, though, do note noise from the road could be a hindrance to super light sleepers. I’d advise you have a room not close to the road.
The hotel is serene and calm, giving of a relaxed and natural vibe in a bustling area. The change is welcomed after a long day out on the beach with people.
10/10 would return!

FFred ConcklinWonderful place with a lush garden in Unawatuna area in the main tourist road. They let us for an early checkin so we didn’t have to wait in the lobby area. Room was spacious with modern furniture and included a minibar. Air conditioner worked perfectly. Bed was comfy. Bathroom was spacious. Hot water worked perfectly. Modern fixtures too. Green villa was close to all the main attractions. Highly recommended for a calm, quiet, comfortable stay in Unawatuna area.

We booked a room at the Thaproban Beach House Hotel, when we came to check in, it turned out that our reservation at this place was missing, and we had a reservation at the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa. Thanks to the Trip.com team for helping us understand and resolve issues. And the Thaproban Pavilion Resort & Spa turned out to be much better than the Thaproban Beach House. True, it is not on the beach, but the beach is 5-7 minutes away. The hotel is super, all the amenities, large rooms overlooking the ocean. Very tasty breakfasts, 2 swimming pools on site, one with salt water. In general, I highly recommend the hotel. We really liked it. And we never regretted that we moved into it.

GGuest UserWe can not say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful boutique hotel. The entire staff was welcoming and attentive to details. We arrived at 3:00am and the hotel had prepared some fruit and sandwiches for our arrival. My wife is celiac and the staff did an amazing job ensuring there were food options available for her. They even prepared traditional Sri Lankan food for us to try. The beach club gets very busy during the day but we still felt like the only guests there. This place has a great island vibe with music and different entertainment daily. We will definitely be returning before the end of our trip.

There are only 9 rooms, in the mountains, black and dark at night, our 4 women, do not dare to go out at night. There are two beaches near the hotel. It takes more than 15 minutes to walk, and we meet weekends. Many locals gather for dinner, drink, and we go to the beaches in the afternoon. All the way to the big local men, a little scared, go On the beach, I saw two European and American girls in swimsuits, and a group of men who drank alcohol, they left, and the hotel was in a good environment, the room was very comfortable, and the surrounding environment was really bad. Looking at the sea view on the mountain, but the geographical environment is really bad, travel dudu, only suitable for staying in the hotel all day~ Breakfast is an order, it is quite rich, the staff are male, except for the so-called manager, the attitude is very good. Will not stay again
