"The hotel's location is fantastic, right next to Tokushima Station. Buses for the Nankai Ferry, Naruto Whirlpools, and even highway buses to Osaka all depart directly from the plaza in front of the hotel, which is incredibly convenient for getting around.
The rooms themselves are quite spacious. I particularly liked the bathroom's separate wet and dry areas – a big plus! Everything was very clean, and the bed was quite comfortable. Our Japanese-style room featured wooden flooring, which contributed to a clean look. The only minor downside was that the two fabric chairs seemed rather dirty.
Overall, it offers excellent value for money."
"Well located next to Tokushima JR station next to long distance bus terminal. It is also walking distance to the castle site where it was the Sakura blossom season. It is a quasi-service hotel but all the amenities/toiletries are placed at lobby for self-service. Room was clean and breakfast is value at ¥1600"
"Even though I checked in late, I was kindly welcomed at the desk. It was convenient to be able to enter the hotel directly from the parking tower where free parking is available. The room was small, but it was comfortable to stay with a child."
"A little bit dated. Beds were super firm which was great. All standard amenities included. When checking in staff were kind but we didn't get much of an explanation of hotel facilities which is a shame because the hotel is actually attached to a library which guests my use with a special card from the hotel. Proximity to the station was good."
"It is very convenient to walk to the hotel from Tokushima Train Station for more than ten minutes.
Awa Dance Hall is just across the road to the right of the hotel entrance, and it only takes three minutes to walk there.
There is a 7-11 convenience store across the road on the left hand side when you exit the hotel. It seems to be the only convenience store in the surrounding area. You need to climb over the overpass at the hotel entrance.
The hotel's internal services and facilities are complete and perfect, and the service staff are also very enthusiastic. My friend lost a ring without knowing it, but the hotel took the initiative to return it when he checked out, which made my friend overjoyed.
The buffet breakfast is located in the lobby on the first floor of the hotel. It is not very rich, but it is exquisite and delicious.
Tokushima is very quiet. The sun has not yet completely set. Around four or five o'clock in the afternoon, the streets of Tokushima seem particularly deserted. Perhaps it is the chill of late autumn that has swept away people's enthusiasm for shopping. There are almost no people on the main streets in the city, and there are no tourists. The shops also closed early in the biting cold wind. Walking on the street, the only sound I could hear besides the sound of cars passing by was my own footsteps. The girls and boys dancing the Awa Odori standing at the bridgehead of Shinmachi River made me seem to have found a little bit of popularity.
Perhaps, we need to wait until the Awa Odori Festival to see the excitement of Tokushima.
Who says it isn’t? Escaping from the hustle and bustle and finding a quiet little town is the ideal of traveling. Maybe such a little town and such a hotel are just what you want…
⋯⋯"
"I had a great stay at Hotel Sunroute Tokushima! The staff were the real highlight—super friendly, attentive, and made everything so easy, with no trouble communicating in English at all. The hotel’s location right across from Tokushima Station is a major plus, making it incredibly convenient for getting around. It’s a solid choice for anyone looking for excellent service and a prime spot to explore the area."
"The staff was very polite. The hotel was crowded with guests, so the wait time for the elevator was long. Especially at breakfast time, I sometimes missed the elevator. But that's the same in any business hotel, so I guess it can't be helped. I'd like to stay here again if I have the chance."
"The location is very good, very close to the station and the clubhouse, the pedestrian street is just around the corner, I have no time to try its breakfast this time, I pass by in the morning and see others eat it very well."
"The room is not big, but it is clean. It's nice to have self-service drinks, and there's also a water dispenser outside the room so guests don't have to boil water themselves. Worth staying again🥰"
"It was clean and spacious, and the amenities were bamboo products.
The lobby is so coffee
It was difficult to find the lobby ㅎㅎ
Right near.
It's a meeting place for the company.
It was nice because there were few people from Tokushima until night"

Great
GGuest UserA nice cheap hostel to stay at. They provide breakfast too which is a big bonus! There are also amenities for cooking your own food. It's the hostel in Tokushima everyone's talking about!
CClara12Hotel area, very far away, the room is clean and tidy enough, but the bath water is general, the hot spring place is very few, the sound insulation is relatively poor, the sound of water flow is heard all night, I hope the sound insulation needs to be improved
AArclight_Very comfortable hotel! There are mountains behind it. The environment is very good. There are many restaurants around. Chinese food is delicious! It is also very close to the Awa Dance Hall. The cherry blossoms in early April are very beautiful.
GGuest UserIf the hostel wasn’t fully booked, I believe it would have been a decent place to stay. However, because of Golden Week, it was completely full. The soundproofing in the rooms is terrible—I was woken up countless times. Any noise is amplified several times by the wooden partitions, and the banging noises made by other guests were extremely loud. Even during the day when I wasn’t trying to sleep, the noise level was unbearable. I barely got any sleep at all, and once I was woken up around 1 or 2 a.m., it was almost impossible to fall asleep again. I really hope the owner will consider renovating the building’s structure and seriously improving the soundproofing.
It's a little far from the station but it's cost-effective
There is no reason to change this price, including breakfast and dinner.
The building is a bit old, but it's small underground, but there's a bath.
The meal is clean and tidy
Riverview is a bonus!
There were only locals.
However, if you are sensitive to cleanliness, you should go to another accommodation.
I was so satisfied with the hostel
한한성It is an unmanned place, but it is a method of calling the staff by the phone placed at the desk and finding the key in the room reserved in the keybox.
The staff only speaks basic English, so you should prepare a measure to communicate in Japanese.
Early check-in and spacious rooms and bathrooms are hard to find in Japan. The water pressure in the bathroom is strong and the hot water comes out well.
It's equipped with a microwave and a refrigerator.
But the mattress on the bed was dead with all the cushions.
If you go to Tokushima, I'll find this place again.
