Amazing
IIHFYSuper stay at this traditional onsen inn! It’s an easy 5 minutes walk from the tram stop and it is a peaceful and hospitable place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast included (you have it in your room, the staff come to roll up your tatami 30 mins before - we just went to the onsen during this time) which was traditional Japanese style and delicious. The onsens are not too big but there are outdoor and indoor sections and perfectly adequate. The staff look after you warmly and we loved our experience of traditional Japanese culture here. Oh, and it’s near the Botanical Gardens where we saw monkeys bathing in the onsen.
GGuest UserFantastic City Center Stay with Relaxing Onsen
My recent stay at this hotel was absolutely delightful. The location couldn’t be better – perfectly situated in the bustling city center, with major attractions, shopping areas, and public transportation just a short walk away. It made exploring the city effortless and convenient.
The on-site hot spring was a real treat: clean, spacious, and with perfectly warm water that melted away all stress. Soaking there after a day out was pure bliss and true relaxation.
The room was impeccably clean, modern, and comfortable, with quality bedding and all necessary amenities. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained.
What impressed me most was the staff – everyone was genuinely polite, friendly, and attentive, always ready to help with a smile.
This hotel offers the ideal mix of prime location, soothing facilities, spotless rooms, and warm hospitality. A wonderful experience I’d highly recommend!
PPia alitRoom are spacious and clean, location are strategic, but service are really bad. I cant keep my luggage before my check in time, so i have to carry my heavy luggage with me for all day, and staffs here aren’t friendly at all, also they charge ¥5,000 for late check out even just for 5minutes. I stay in many hotel with higher and cheaper price but this place was really disappointing.
All the things in this hotel are perfect, but i think they have to educate the staffs and other services.
GGuest UserOne of our favourite onsen hotels in Hokkaido. Very clean and impeccable service! Loved the public onsen, very nicely decorated, tranquil and clean. We stayed for 2 nights and enjoyed the breakfast and traditional japanese full course dinner on both nights. Staff was very attentive to detail and provided excellent service. The hotel is a distance away from the Hakodate city centre but had free parking and ample parking lots. Since we drove, proximity to the city centre was not too much of a concern for us. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hanabishi and would stay again!
진진모찌The location was a bit far from the city's tourist attractions, but it was great to relax, take a walk around the area, soak in the hot springs, and enjoy delicious breakfast and dinner. The staff were friendly, and they even kept my luggage after check-out. The food was delicious, and it was a satisfying two-night stay in every way.
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is a little far from Hakodate Station. We have to walk a little after taking the bus, so we took a taxi, which cost 2,300 yen. The Japanese-style hot spring hotel, the room is not by the sea, the tatami area is good, much larger than the Western-style hotel room 😆 There are relatively few restaurants in Yukawa Onsen and they are relatively far away. It is recommended to solve breakfast and dinner in the hotel. We ordered breakfast, which is Japanese style with many varieties. We didn't order dinner, and wanted to go out for dinner. Unexpectedly, we walked for a long time before finding an Okonomiyaki restaurant that could accommodate us.
__WeChat281718****This is an old-fashioned Japanese-style hotel, located about 5 kilometers from JR Hakodate. Transportation in Hakodate isn't very convenient, especially at night, so I took a taxi directly to the hotel.
There's a small supermarket downstairs selling souvenirs, food, and drinks—a wide variety, but don't buy too much (they sell similar items at the airport).
One downside of staying here is the language barrier. Don't expect to rely on English like in a big city. The hotel's signage cards had numerous errors in their English translations, so it's best to use a Japanese-Chinese translation app to communicate with the staff.
The private bath was nice, with a beautiful sea view and the option to watch the sunrise (though the angle wasn't great).
The hotel breakfast had a wide variety of options, but it wasn't to my taste. I even found a fish bone in my seafood paella, which wasn't a pleasant experience.
The staff might come into your room to make the bed between 6:30 PM and 8:00 PM each evening, which could be a bit of a disturbance.
GGuest UserVery very good! The photos are very nice, the breakfast in the restaurant is also delicious, and any photos you take are very good. You can get a yukata after checking in. We didn't know we could choose our favorite yukata until the last day, so we didn't take any photos. Other than that, it's very good, the attitude is also very good, it's worth choosing.
JJessiefenglingcaoThe room was spacious and clean. Coming from Tokyo, it felt incredibly roomy; we could easily open two large suitcases on the floor. At the front desk, you could help yourself to a selection of toiletries and even skincare products. The breakfast was fantastic, featuring sashimi and freshly peeled shrimp. The room was very quiet at night, ensuring a peaceful sleep. The only minor issue was that the curtains weren't thick enough; the direct morning sun would stream in and wake me up instantly, so I had to sleep with an eye mask. The hotel is very close to the beach, less than a 10-minute walk away. The beach itself was amazing – uncrowded with beautiful scenery!
