I really enjoyed my stay here. The location is perfect, being conveniently situated right within the JR station. The room was spacious and offered a great view, and the public bath was a lovely way to relax. I also appreciated the unique ”pillow corner” where you can choose your preferred pillow for a better night's sleep. One helpful tip for future guests: if you have any requests or queries, it is much easier to go to the front desk in person. The staff are wonderful, but most do not speak English, which can make it difficult to communicate effectively over the hotel phone.

The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic! It's right across the road from the Hakodate JR Station exit, on the right-hand side. Since it's a Conan-themed hotel, there's a bus hub right outside, making it super convenient to get to Mount Hakodate and Goryokaku. There's also a drugstore to the right as you enter the hotel. Check-in was quick and easy. The room isn't huge, but there's enough space for two 26-inch suitcases. It's cozy, the bedding is comfortable, and the bathroom is clean and odor-free. Breakfast is varied and plentiful, and you can even make your own seafood bowl. Hakodate Morning Market is just a short walk from the hotel, and if you stroll along the coast for about fifteen minutes, you'll reach the Red Brick Warehouses. You can even catch the sunset there in the evening!

I booked the hotel a few months ago so I could get a very good price for staying with OMO5. Very comfortable and energetic hotel, especially the common area was a place for relaxing and chill. They have a different set up during the day and at night. The highlight of this hotel is the free shuttle bus services, going around the city, and the paid shuttle service to go up the hill to see the sunset. You would be knowing how chaotic it could be up there so it’s good to have a shuttle bus bringing you up and down back to the hotel door. Also, the hotel offer free tours and I joined the free market walking tour and a bus tour to Onuma National Park. By staying one night, I could use the services before the check in and after the check out, so basically it covered 2 days activities when I was in Hakodate. it’s a super value offer, and I really feel this hotel group has thoughts from traveler’s perspective and try their best to give the best experience and to help reducing hassles for us. Definitely I will book with hotels under Hoshino Resort Group again. Thank you very much.

I'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

Location: The hotel is conveniently located near Hakodate Station, making it easy to access JR trains and buses. Service: Breakfast was decent with a good variety of options. Cleanliness: The cleanliness was a huge disappointment! If you don't smoke or can't stand the smell of smoke, be absolutely sure not to book a smoking room. During the cherry blossom season, this was the last room available, and I didn't check carefully, ending up in a smoking room. The room reeked of stale cigarette smoke, and the ventilation system was useless, making it smell even worse, especially in the bathroom. My hair and coat were permeated with the smoky smell. There was an extra sheet under the duvet. I didn't notice it the first night, but when I pulled it back the next morning, I saw many stains on the duvet cover. Truly subpar... Facilities: The room was very small; I could only open my suitcase by the door. The bathroom had no outlets, so I had to plug the hairdryer into an outlet in the main room. No drinking water was provided in the room; I had to go all the way down to the South Wing to get water, which is a very inconvenient design.

A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!

The hotel is close to the sea but a bit far from the JR station. The room was clean, and the triple room had enough space for three suitcases. The bedding was comfortable too. For breakfast, you can choose between a set meal or a buffet, but there's a long wait for the buffet. We opted for the set meal both days, and it was quite good. The onsen offers nice views of Hakodate, which is a plus.

Location of hotel is quite good. Need to walk 15 minutes from Hakodate Station. Hotel breakfast provided in Japanese restaurant is fantastically good. Rich variety of local Japanese food. Service provided by hotel was bad n needed to be improved: (1) Check in to hotel is strictly starts at 3pm, which is vy late. Most Japan hotel checks in at 2pm n allows earlier check in. Customers needed to wait n queue up in long line to check in. Hotel is not flexible n has no alternative plans to open up check in earlier even though long queues of people are waiting for 3pm. Long queue is blocking the hotel lobby reception too. Worst is that there are a few staffs sitting at reception counter not doing anything to accommodate to crowded waiting at counter. Vy poor service provided by hotel front office reception. (2) Same thing as waiting in long queue for daily breakfast. Waiting time is too long. Will need the staff to take one by one customer to respective table. There's only one staff taking charge. Will need to upgrade the service by adding one or two more staff to be on duty at the counter.

The hotel is conveniently located, literally about 5 minutes from the station, which is great if you are travelling with luggage. The room had the basic essentials, and the area is surrounded by many restaurants. However, for the price, I expected more. The room for two people was extremely small: basically just a bed, a very narrow table with almost no usable space, one chair, and a fridge. The space under the bed for suitcases is a smart idea, but it does not really solve the problem, as there is simply nowhere comfortable to sit or spend time in the room. Another thing I found strange was that there was a Bible and The Book of Mormon in the room. At first, I thought previous guests had left them behind, so I went downstairs to ask, and was told that this was official hotel literature. I found this confusing and unnecessary. A charger was also provided, but it was not clearly marked as a hotel item, so at first I thought it had been left behind by another guest and that the room had not been cleaned properly. The hotel provides various disposable amenities, but surprisingly there were no toothbrushes. Overall, the experience was not great. The location is convenient, but the room size, check-in experience, and some strange details made the stay disappointing.

The counter staff is very polite, you can send it early, the room is very clean, this family is very good, except that it is a bit far from today, there is no problem, there is also a supermarket nearby
