DD25860****A rare find at this ocean-view hot spring hotel! Soaking in the hot spring while gazing at the sea, daydreaming, or chatting is simply wonderful! From the moment we arrived, we had a dedicated butler who escorted us to the large lounge for check-in. While their English wasn't fluent, they could communicate in Japanese and Chinese using a translation app, and were very responsible in repeatedly confirming our reservation times. The private hot spring bath we booked was excellent in both its environment and facilities, and both the indoor and outdoor public baths offered ocean views. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the ocean-view room was enormous; we even had albatrosses visiting outside the window. The kaiseki cuisine at breakfast and dinner was absolutely amazing—delicious and beautifully presented—I was extremely satisfied!

WWingStefanieThe room was quite spacious. There were coffee beans in the drawer, so we could enjoy coffee and admire the snowy view from our room during the heavy snow. The front desk staff on the first floor were very polite and answered all our questions. Given the cold weather, the free-flow coffee, made with famous Hokkaido coffee beans, was a nice touch. Dinner was at the second-floor restaurant, featuring simple appetizers, a beef hot pot, and all-you-can-eat sushi. I'm not sure if it was because of New Year's Eve, but the service was incredibly slow; several Japanese groups who arrived after us had already finished their meals, and we had only been served three dishes. On the ninth floor, there are three private baths, which were very comfortable for my family to relax and chat in. There's ice cream available for self-service on the tenth floor. After 9:30 PM, the hotel offers warm and comforting ramen, which was a thoughtful touch. There's a convenience store right across from the hotel, and the Kanemori Red Brick Warehouses are about a five-minute walk straight ahead. Next door, there's a yakiniku restaurant. I initially thought we wouldn't find any hot food open on New Year's Day, but surprisingly, it was open and there was no queue. For that alone, I'd give it a big thumbs up!

JJ. SimonIt’s just next to JR Hakodate station, bus terminus is just in front of the hotel and the city tram stop is within 5 mins walking distance. The morning fish market is just nearby across the road from JR Hakodate station. The buffet breakfast is good with a wide variety including frozen grapes, frozen berries etc. Also, the Hakodate Tourist Information Center is located within JR Hakodate Station. I made full use of my 2D 1N stay in Hakodate by purchasing the “Hakodate Special Ticket 2025”(はこだてスペシャルチケット2025) from the Tourist Information Center. The ticket includes ”Transportation Ticket” City Tram 1-Day Pass + ”12-Points Ticket” (1 point = ¥250) and covers admission fees to Goryokaku Tower, Old Public Hall of Hakodate Ward and Mt. Hakodate Ropeway (two-way).

HHunhundidiI stayed in a standard room. It was quite spacious, and the bathroom had a separate wet and dry area. Although this room type didn't have a bathtub, the hotel's onsen (hot spring) was more than enough to enjoy. It was easily accessible and never too crowded, so I could really relax. The hotel is very close to Hakodate Station, about a five-minute walk, and there's a convenience store within five minutes, which is handy. They also offer a free shuttle bus to various Hakodate attractions, which was incredibly convenient. Service: I arrived very late, but the front desk staff were still incredibly warm and welcoming, providing lots of helpful tips and information. Cleanliness: The room was clean and tidy, and housekeeping came to clean it every day.

GGuest UserI absolutely love Hanabishi Hotel — I had the best 2-night stay here. The hotel is quiet with no large tour groups, and I really enjoyed the traditional feel and relaxing vibes. I tried all of their room types, and my favorite is the futon room with a private onsen. The futon is very comfortable, and the room itself is incredibly spacious. The staff are friendly and helpful, even assisting me with arranging taxi service. The location is convenient, only about a 10-minute drive from Hakodate Airport. I also loved both the breakfast buffet and the dinner set — they truly pampered me like I was the queen of the world. The public onsen is beautiful and huge. I will forever choose to stay here whenever I’m in the area.

GGuest UserThe lovely old gentleman serving as at night was one of the best front desk staff I’ve ever met. We originally planned to arrive at the property in the afternoon. However, our flight was cancelled and we had to seek alternative, delaying our arrival time until 23:00. When we arrive, we thought we will be self-checking in. But as we step inside the property from a heavy snow, we saw this kind gentleman waiting for us right at the door. He greeted us, helped us check in, and explained everything clearly. He offered us free flow free drinks and free ice cream (which was also very tasty) When we wanted to have some late night snacks bought from a convenient store, he also helped us reheat the food. 誠にありがとうございます! Everything else was great as well! The room was comfortable, the breakfast was yummy, and it’s so nice to have a hot spring after out in the cold for the entire day.

LLiduoxiliaolinuolisiI'd call this unbeatable. First off, the front desk service was truly above and beyond my expectations. It was snowing heavily, and the bellhop was still waiting outside for guests to arrive, helping with luggage. The outdoor private onsen in the room was also exceptional; the view and atmosphere were incredible. The breakfast, with its unbeatable ocean view, topped it all off. I had a wonderful day in Hakodate!

MM3946****The hotel's location is super convenient. After getting off at Hakodate Station, you can take buses 95, 95A, or 96 right outside the station (get off at Yunokawa Onsen Station), and the hotel is directly across the street. Conversely, you can catch a bus from the hotel entrance directly to JR Hakodate Station. This is incredibly handy, especially given how expensive taxis are in Japan. The hotel rooms are very spacious. While the facilities are a bit dated, the big plus is that the room comes with a private, continuously flowing hot spring bath – it's not one of those you have to turn on and off with a tap. It's semi-open-air, looking out onto the ocean, so there's no need to worry about privacy. Soaking in the onsen while enjoying the sea view, perhaps with an ice cream [chuckle] – it really doesn't get much more relaxing! Since we booked a Japanese-style room, staff came to make our beds after check-in. The mini-fridge was stocked with complimentary bottled water, bottled tea, and beer. Unfortunately, my family and I don't drink, so we didn't make use of that service [facepalm]. Right next to the hotel is the 'Ichimonji' ramen shop, and the Tropical Botanical Garden, where you can watch monkeys soaking in the hot springs, is just a 300-500 meter walk away. Guests staying at Hanatsuki can also request a window seat at breakfast to enjoy the sea view while they eat.

ZZhi鿏Facilities: Excellent! My friend enjoyed the public hot spring, and the facilities and views were great. Cleanliness: Good. Both the room and the lobby were clean and bright. Environment: The room view was fantastic! Unbeatable sea view. I'll definitely stay here again next time. Service: The hotel staff were wonderful, very friendly and professional. They helped us with our luggage and even made our beds. Compared to some much more expensive hotels I've stayed at, the service here was even better! I was a bit worried about the service after reading some reviews, but it was absolutely unfounded. My friend and I both regretted not staying an extra night.

エゾシカ伝道師The staff at the inn were warm and moderate, and I was very comfortable. While there were many non-smoking rooms, the companion who was a smoker was very happy. In addition, the correspondence of the odor remaining in the room is also firm, and I think it can be comfortable. It's a hot spring, but you can get the power of the source. It is a hot spring of great satisfaction! I want to enter again ♪
