VvencenlauisThe bedding was incredibly comfortable, and the room itself was clean, tidy, spacious, and bright. Its location is fantastic, being close to both Huangjia Old Shop and Kaifeng Museum. Plus, there's a famous traditional pastry shop right at the entrance. After I checked out, I carelessly left an item of clothing behind. The housekeeping staff immediately informed the front desk, who thoughtfully kept it aside for me. They even kindly offered me a bottle of water and some peanut brittle as I was leaving, which was incredibly touching. Although heavy rain unfortunately led to the closure of the Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden during my last visit, I absolutely must return next time to truly experience the beauty of Kaifeng.
Late-night Congee Stall: Excellent.

GGuest UserThe luckiest thing about traveling to Kaifeng is that I chose this homestay! The location is simply amazing. It takes only 3 minutes to walk to the Qingming Riverside Park. In the morning, you can easily catch the first wave of admission to avoid the crowds. In the evening, after watching the performance of ”The Great Song Dynasty: Tokyo Dreams”, you can take a walk back to the room to rest. The room is clean and warm, the layout is full of Song Dynasty elements, the bedding is soft and comfortable, and it is super safe to live in. The boss is warm and considerate, and also recommended super authentic food shops around. The cost-effectiveness is super high, I will stay here next time I come to Kaifeng!

GGuest UserAfter a long search, I chose this hotel and was delighted to find its location absolutely superb. The room facilities were clean, modern, and exactly as pictured. It was less than a two-minute walk to the Yingbin Gate of Shangqing Garden. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right by the riverbank, and the evening views are especially beautiful. After a tiring afternoon exploring the garden, we could relax in the small courtyard and enjoy the scenery. Since we arrived quite late, the owner personally helped us with our luggage, which was incredibly welcoming. He also gave us recommendations for places to eat. Our first night was on the second floor, where we enjoyed the view from the balcony. Due to high demand, we extended our stay and moved to a ground-floor room with a small courtyard for the second night. Both rooms had their own unique charm. I rarely leave reviews, but I truly felt the owner's dedication to running this place, so I wanted to show my support.

GGuest UserThe pleasant surprise of my Kaifeng trip was booking this guesthouse. It feels like a beautiful garden, incredibly quiet, comfortable, clean, and very high-end. The room was super spacious and bright, and it's very kid-friendly. Check-in was smooth, and the ladies at the front desk were all super nice, patient, and helpful, even assisting with our luggage. The best part is it's very, very close to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, just a short walk away. We could easily come back to rest whenever we got tired from exploring. They even gave us some delicious local pastries upon check-out! I genuinely love the decor and atmosphere of this guesthouse. I'll definitely book this place again on my next visit!

GGuest UserOur stay at the FunGee Hotel (Gulou Square branch) was the most pleasant surprise of our trip to Kaifeng. The hotel is right in the heart of the ancient city, just a 5-minute walk from the Shudianjie Night Market. If you're driving, there's free parking directly opposite the hotel, and it's a convenient drive to places like Xiangguo Temple and Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden.
The hotel is a trendy design hotel that opened in 2025. The lobby is located on the fourth floor and accessible directly by elevator.
⚠️ The rooms are spacious and bright. Do note that for inner-facing rooms, the 'floor-to-ceiling window' looks out onto a wall and doesn't offer ventilation. The entire room is equipped with smart voice control, high-end toiletries, and a mini-fridge. There's a QR code by the bed for some complimentary items. The mattress and pillows are very comfortable, and the room is quiet.
The lobby offers 24-hour refreshments and drinks. During afternoon tea, there's an unlimited supply of fruits and desserts. Complimentary cocktails are offered every evening, and breakfast is served until 11 AM, with a good variety of tasty options. The front desk staff provided warm and efficient service throughout our stay.

DDaguoshibaniuI visited Wansuishan Martial Arts City during the Qingming Festival and chose the Mercure Hotel because it's very close by. Although the price was much higher due to the holiday, it was incredibly convenient.
Facilities: The hotel's facilities are considered excellent for Wansuishan. However, there was one particular annoyance: I could hear singing from outside until midnight, and it was quite loud. I later realized it was coming from the Wansuishan scenic area, but the hotel windows didn't have good soundproofing.
Service: The service generally felt good. What particularly impressed me was how delicious the Hu La Tang (spicy soup) was at breakfast, and there were many kinds of Henan specialty staple foods that paired perfectly with it, making for a very satisfying meal.
I would still choose to stay here next time I visit Wansuishan Martial Arts City because the location is fantastic; you can walk to the scenic area entrance in just five minutes.

GGuest UserThe hotel is incredibly close to Qingming Riverside Landscape Garden, just a few minutes' walk away, which was super convenient for us traveling with elderly family and kids after a long day of sightseeing. The bathtub in the room was a big plus – perfect for a relaxing soak after being on our feet all day. The hotel's overall ambiance is charmingly antique and elegant, perfectly matching Kaifeng's ancient city vibe. The service was also very thoughtful; both the front desk and housekeeping staff were warm, welcoming, and always ready to help.
The only minor downside was that the breakfast selection was a bit ordinary, not particularly extensive. However, this didn't detract from an otherwise excellent overall experience. We'd definitely choose to stay here again on our next visit to Kaifeng!

Hhlp0204My child really enjoyed talking to Xiaodu (the smart assistant). The room itself was comfortable and had a charming, antique feel. There were two types of slippers to choose from, and even special ones for kids that you can pick up at the front desk on the first floor. Plus, the front desk lady was super helpful, giving us detailed directions on how to get around and explore the area.
